Evening ladies.

Thank you for your support and reassurances - I'm pleased to confirm that when the surgery said 'abnormal' test results, what they actually should have said was 'sorry we didn't actually take enough blood to do the tests correctly!' so PHEW. Although in a small way it would have been nice to have a diagnosis. It's a shame I had to completely mental for a few hours over google. I really appreciate your kind words and calming posts though. :) I'm sorry for the panicky posts. I am (unsurprisingly) on a bit of a knife's edge at the moment.

Hope all the newly pregnant are not mentalling too much. My AF has now finished and we will be TTC over the next couple of weeks. Not going to temp or chart this time - just going to follow the method used for DD1 which basically just involved a lot of SWI. Ahem.

I had my second acu session this afternoon and I feel totally ZEN. Hmmmm shame I have to catch up on my work this evening.

Digi I am so excited for you that your scan went well. YAY!

mouse distraction distraction distraction. When I am next pregnant I'm going to pretend I'm not. I'm living like I'm pregnant now (apart from a lot of brie!) so I won't need to stop drinking etc etc.

LadyM Hope all going well despite the pukiness.

Now back to my bean and butternut squash stew.

TomboyWife · 12/10/2011 20:01

digi congrats on seeing your little one for the first time!

Well, AF is officially late now, and I've added tired and vaguely fluey to the symptom list (though boobs remain stubbornly un-sore), so I wasted used another test this evening. BFN again. I am now officially annoyed. Hmm

itsabear · 12/10/2011 20:12

ooh Tomboy how late are you? When I was pregnant with DD my tests didn't come up BFP until about 3 days after my AF was due.

TomboyWife · 12/10/2011 20:22

itsa my cycle pre-mc was usually 26 or 27 days. If I've done my adding up correctly, today is CD 29. So not hugely late, and this is only my second cycle post-WTF so things may still be settling down. My WTF cycle was 8 weeks (!) and the one after that was something like 34 days.

itsabear · 12/10/2011 20:30

Tomboy These WTF cycles really mess things up don't they. For my last preg/mc I had no idea how long my cycle was as didn't get back to my usual 28 days which made dating it very difficult.

No advice really except maybe try and wait another couple of days?

Hope it's a BFP for you very soon!

LadyMaybe · 12/10/2011 21:58

I hope it is too TomboyWife, very frustrating being in limbo like that though.

itsabear that's quite funny. Honestly, I don't know why they can't put a bit more information in letters etc that they send out (I suppose they're just standard form ones to save time), to stop this sort of mentalling. Fingers crossed for normality next time around Smile

Mouse you're doing fine, just fine. Just keep plodding on, one day at a time. The first few weeks do seem to take fooooorrrrrreeeeeeevvvvvveeeerrrrrrr - but it does all mount up and that scan will be there before too long.

I'm thinking about you every day AandR, hoping with every little bit of me that time has done it's thing and your bean has grown and a good hb is seen. I hope the scan, whenever it is, goes well and that you get the good story this time.

and hello to SmileyGirl sorry, I don't think I said hello before - don't want to give you false hope but actually having a rubbish sore throat/cold was the first thing that happened to me with this pg. Not sure if it's a symptom or not, but it does seem to be fairly common. Anyway...best of luck this time around.

Velvet, Collie, YRMOTB and MummyAbroad if your lurking - I hope you're feeling ok and not too horribly uncomfortable. I spoke to my lovely bumpy girlfriends the other day and they are well into the 'am over this' stage, but being very brave and stoical about it Smile

SmileyGirl1 · 13/10/2011 13:58

Hi Ladies,

Well Digi and LadyMaybe you were both right!! I got a BFP! I'm literally in shock, like complete and utter shock. Over the moon like but just beyond nervous. I just don't know how my DH would cope with another MC. I just desperately hope and pray this little bean is a super super sticky one. Cos of coming straight off the back of MC, I'm a tiny bit unsure of exactly how many weeks I am but roughly 4.5 so an absolute age to go yet. We are just so so nervous and I'm getting ready to go back to work etc I dunno i feel so lucky but so so nervous. This is going to be the longest 8 weeks every (hopefully all going well). I was actually at the GP before I did the test as had horrible black bloody stools (tmi apologies), which they said was probably a bug, now I'm not sure should i go back or not. HOpefully it'll just settle down.

Digi - how wonderful for you to have seen baby on the screen, that's just such a aspecial moment - fantastic! hope you are feeling well too Smile

Itsabear sounds like a good plan to me!!

Mouse how is it going? i'm with you on the waiting now!

Tomboy really hope you get the BFP

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 13/10/2011 14:17

Woo-hoo!! Congrats smiley ! Grin

digi fab news on the scan Grin

ladymb so pleased things seem to be going well - and you mouse hope you're managing to hang on until that half term scan!

aandr thinking of you, lovely xx

yrmotb and mummya hope things are still going well for you both Smile

digitalgirl · 13/10/2011 14:28

Congratulations smiley!

Velvetcu · 13/10/2011 19:28

congrats smiley lovely news to come in to for my catch up :)

tomboy sorry you got a bfn, I don't know how many cycles you need to have before you can actually work out what is "normal" length again - I had 5 between my ERPC, 10 week wtf and this BFP and they were all between 32-36 days so still quite a big variation I think. fx it's still just too early for you but I know how disappointing it is getting your hopes up each month and then AF appears.

Lady I am ready for meeting this baby now!

TomboyWife · 13/10/2011 19:58

Congrats smiley! Grin I understand the nervousness, but try to relax (she said knowing she'll be mentalling for England next time round).

KnitterNotTwitter · 13/10/2011 22:09

congrats smiley lovely news

i've been brave and booked my CVS - bloods will be on the 3/11 and then the CVS on the 8/11. I'm also thinking that I'll probably go for a reassurance scan 21/10... as the 8/11 seems a long way away and I don't like the idea of psyching myself up for a CVS only to have a bad scan... does that make sense?

Loup23 · 13/10/2011 23:01

Congratulations smiley this is a lucky thread recently, please can I ( and all others ) have a BFP too?! Grin

Freezingmyarseoff · 13/10/2011 23:46

Brilliant new smiley congratulations

Well done knitter on booking your CVS.

Sorry haven't been around much recently but thanks for your get well messages. I'm fine but DD came down with a bug/virus type thing. She's on the mend but the washing machine has been busy, and haven't had a very good catch up on sleep so heading off for some needed zz's now.

Waves to all

TinaOnHerBroomstick · 14/10/2011 09:35

Morning

Have a good rest Freezing

Congratulations Smiley [hgrin]

Well done on booking the CVS knitter, we'll all be holding your hand and crossing our fingers for you x

velvet how is Operation Eviction going? [hgrin]

Any sign of a bfp or af Tomboy?

I think I ovulated yesterday so am now at the start of yet another 2ww. Can I ask a tmi question of those of you that have had acupuncture? Last night after my session dh and I had an early night [hwink] and it was...ahem...more intense than normal...anyone else had that? And she also mentioned trying moxi next time...anyone tried that?

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/10/2011 11:13

Thanks guys - seems pretty weird to have the date in the diary. Fingers crossed we make it that far!

Hugs to you all

Velvetcu · 14/10/2011 12:52

Tina miniv is ignoring her eviction notice at the moment! Intense session sounds good - I might try acupuncture just to find out! Grin

TheFalconsmistress · 15/10/2011 19:52

Lovely to see you on here again Falcon, hope you're doing ok

Twittwooo · 16/10/2011 07:43

Hi everyone, I haven't been on for a while as still trying to pretend I'm not really pregnant at the moment!

Congratulations Smiley, and Digi - great news about the scan. Lady, I'm pleased things seem to be okay after your worries.

Any news Tomboy?

How long until your scan mouse? I'm thinking of booking in for a private scan next week sometime for when I'm around 9 weeks. I won't get an early one on the NHS despite 2 previous miscarriages so it might help, but I'm still very worried about tempting fate so I may just leave it!

I did a silly thing the other day - I ate homemade mayo, well ailoi, in a restaurant and only realised the next day that I shouldn't have! Do you ladies think I have anything to worry about? I've done a bit of reading up on it and it seems that listeria can show no symptoms, so I'm mentalling about having done some kind of harm and not knowing it!! There's always something to worry about ..

I hope everyone is doing okay, and good luck to velvet! x

TinaOnHerBroomstick · 16/10/2011 19:03

Hi falcon, it's lovely to see you! How is everything? Did you find somewhere new to live and have you managed to get your dogs back?

twitwoo I'm sure it's fine, in France they still eat blue cheese and Camembert during pregnancy, my mil thought it was really odd that I wouldn't! And my mum used to work in a public health lab and they once tested all the different unpasteurised cheeses in the local Morrison's and none had any listeria in...I would just avoid it from now on, but if you're worried pop to the gp and see if they'll test you for it x

Waves to everyone x

TheFalconsmistress · 16/10/2011 20:02

SmileyGirl1 · 16/10/2011 20:43

We just let everythign get to us i think. i love him so much but i just wish we hadn't argued. I just want little bean to be okay.
