Roll up, roll up...

This is the place to be if you are ttc post mc / pregnancy loss and need a little spot to call home.

ladym this is the milestone scan right? Remember, new country, new rules - only good things are allowed to happen. Very best of luck, have everything crossed for you. Will check first thing to see how it went.

itsabear sounds like you've had a lot on your plate, but good news that all your tests came back clear. There are other tests you can do but you would have to be referred to a specialist who tests for immunological issues (or see one privately). Chances are your next pg will be fine - you've had a lot more tests than a lot of women have after 2 mc's, so at least you know you've ticked those boxes.

Welcome smiley sorry for your loss, hope your cycles get back to normal soon. Although as others have said you may not ovulate in the first cycle after your mc - so don't worry too much if the opk's don't show a positive for a while.

Tina those prices are similar to what I pay - but I go to Harley St (friend recommended) so I expect them to be higher. Hope it does the trick for you. Sorry you're out this month.

confu3ed welcome, I remember you from the recurrent buns thread.

tomboy ah yes the pre-ov anger. Nature has a funny way of letting us know it's time to have sex! Happy seducing!

I'm beginning to feel a bit rough this week (think it's the heat) and I'm eating my way through it. As a result I now look about 6 months pregnant, which is generating some funny looks from my colleagues who I haven't told but who have probably guessed.

LadyMaybe · 29/09/2011 04:06

Hi - good news from my scan, thank goodness! Last week I was 7+4 by dates, but measured 8+2, this week I measure 9+2 and we got a little wriggle. I'm really pleased, not out of the woods yet but it's the best progress I've made. Got home after doing a grocery shop (typical pg women's basket - fizzy water, crackers, salt&vinegar crisps, fruit, no meat - and threw up after the stress of it all. Dr and the nurse were so lovely though, they seemed genuinely happy to see that it had gone well and were laughing at the little wriggles. Nice. Got to snooze now, but will come back later and catch up with everyone else's news, been v mememe last few days.

Sorry everything is going wrong for you at the moment bear, things can only get better!

I'm counting today as cd2 although things are lighter than normal.

digitalgirl · 29/09/2011 07:52

Wonderful ladym that's such good news!!!! Smile

AandRMum · 29/09/2011 07:53

Oh fab news LadyM so pleased - and glad you are getting some good care. I am bricking it over tomorrow - I have been feeling pretty rotten so if this is a blighted ovum I am going to be one cross vegemite!

Itsa it appears to go that way - one shit thing happens and then life decides to completely dump on you - as a lovely Lady said to me after I finished detailing my 3 mcs, 2 cancer scares, contract cancellation and planning permission woes of the last year 'You certainly have a load of good karma in store for you then' - oddly enough I find this thought very comforting!

Digi I am a bit worried about explaining away the bump too as I tend to balloon blossom before 12 weeks. I haven't told a soul, which is so unlike me but telling people would make it real (as if throwing up in the loo at work yesterday didn't)

confu3ed · 29/09/2011 08:30

Thank you TomBoy, I never get any CM which confuses the hell out of me as that is supposed to be the best OV sign!
Hello Freezing, hope you feel better today :)

Hello itsabear and so sorry you have had such a hard time recently.

Hello Digi and big congratulations, how far along are you? Been off line for a while trying to forget about TTC. But it is now time again as 36 is looming and I am aware that time is running out!

Great news Lady!!

Freezingmyarseoff · 29/09/2011 08:35

Grin for LadyM that is VERY good news, so so pleased for you. Grin

AandRMum · 29/09/2011 11:40

Oops just realised I missed a page Welcome confu3ed - 36 is a spring chicken!! I am heading out of that number in a couple of months and have suddenly become quite fond of the age - 37 seems far too close to 40! I gather you are aware of Pre-seed. I haven't used it myself as I almost have it too extreme in the other direction (TMI) but from the different forums it is hailed as a wonder cream!?

TomboyWife · 29/09/2011 20:03

Hooray LadyM! Fabulous news! Grin

AndR I've got everything crossed for you for tomorrow.

Hmm, pre-ovulation anger? I've never heard of that before. I was actually referring to post-ovulation anger, which was my first pregnancy symptom. (My word, but I was angry. Much angrier than yesterday actually, so never mind about the symptom spotting.)

itsabear · 29/09/2011 20:47

LadyM amazing news - love that there was a little wriggle! May the wriggling continue!

Thanks AandR - I like that thought...looking forward to the good karma! I'm sure your good karma will come at your scan tomorrow.

Digi sorry you're feeling a bit grotty now. This heat is incredible isn't it?

I had another positive pregnancy test today (I'm 4+1 weeks past medical management). I'm booked in at the EPU on Monday for a scan. It actually sent me over the edge and I spent the day crying at my desk then decided to take the plunge and book some acupuncture. I'm not sure how it went - she said I was extremely anxious and tense (erm, well, yes) and I was in fact so tense that the needle fell out of my forehead! Apparently that has never happened before. She thinks I will start to relax after a few sessions...I hope so. My thumb really hurt afterwards - is that normal? She recommended waiting a few months for my body to return to normal before TTC again but I can't bear the thought of that. As my boss (rather inappropriately!) said 'I just need to get back on the horse like Robert the Bruce(!). Nice imagery.

mousebacon · 29/09/2011 20:56

Hellooooo!!!!

First things first and massive congrats to the very lovely, lady that's great news Grin

Good luck for tomorrow AandR I'll be thinking of you x

Hello digi hope you are well - I did indeed lay an egg. I think we managed SWI at the right time but not feeling positive 1 week into the 2ww.

Have felt a little wobbly over the last week or so as it's a year since the first mc this week and I feel like I really should be pg by now...

Anyway, I'll try and share my chart on here so any stalker types can have a look-see Smile

Welcome newbies, it's a lovely place to be.

Waves to all xx

mouse I can't get that link to work to stalk you!

itsabear I had my first acupuncture this morning, and yes it hurt! One of the points on my foot hurt for ages afterwards too, but luckily I didn't have a forehead one (which I was worried about Blush). She told me that I've got 'depleted blood' from the mc and recommended that I take some floridex, so I started that today too. I need to go back fortnightly. She told me that she's had mcs herself so she seemed very understanding.

Well, my period is still odd! Really thin and brown, I'm thinking that perhaps I didn't ovulate or my oestrogen is low which caused the spotting? I just hope I'm back to normal for this month!

mousebacon · 29/09/2011 21:55

Ah bugger! I'll go and find it again...

OP posts:
itsabear · 29/09/2011 21:56

MissTina ooh excited that you had your first session too. I totally and utterly could not relax. It felt so weird. Oh and I cried and cried so much that she kept having to wipe my tears. Mine said to go back weekly but I can only really stretch to fortnightly at the moment. I also now have a seed stuck to my ear to help my anxiety...I have to press it hard 20 times whenever I feel stressed or anxious. Which is quite frankly quite a lot at the moment!

Looking good mouse - when do you test? Grin

To the acupuncture lot - the first couple of sessions I used to get bruises on the back of my hand where the needle had been and my hand would ache. But was told this was quite an unusual reaction.

itsabear sorry you're still getting a bfp. Hopefully when you go for your scan they can do a blood test to see exactly how high the hcg is.

mousebacon · 29/09/2011 22:30

I thinkk about the 4th or 5th digi xx

Freezingmyarseoff · 30/09/2011 08:27

Good luck for your scan AandR

Sorry itsabear about the positive HPT. It's such a kick in the teeth after all you're going through

AandRMum · 30/09/2011 09:09

Hi All - news isn't good. There were no pulsations and the doctor doesn't think it will progress. The fetal pole is about 3.6mm so I thought maybe it was too early but she was pretty certain. I will rescan in 2 weeks but she is hoping it will come away naturally. Guess I will start acupuncture.
