New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 25/07/2011 15:24

Excellent lesson Biscuits!

I now have a fully developed plan for next month:

  1. Pineapple juice (and lot's of it!)
  2. Zinc for DH (fortunately he doesn't really like any of the stuff to be avoided anyway)
  3. See a rat? Smack it!
  4. Last cycle we SWI'd every day between cd 4 and cd 11, this time I'm extending it to cd4 - cd14 just in case! Will be getting involved with opks for the first time as well (I've always worried previously that opks would involve just a little too much peeing on sticks, seeing as I tend to POAS from 7 dpo through to 14 dpo already!)

The person sitting next to me today has just come back from an amazing two week holiday in Cuba! I'm so jealous of the photos I'm thinking of booking a trip to Cuba - for April next year! Surely that will immediately engrave my updiffed condition on the head of every rat within 100 miles?!

All fingers and toes are crossed for Maybe as well - Thursday will be the day! With both my cycle buddies off to the ante-natal thread I'd better get those pee sticks in line really early next month, or I'm going to be too far behind!!

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 15:49

Glad to see you are all getting your SWI plans together in good time. Maybe I should have set that as a homework assignment.....

Re the pineapple thing I think when I read about it, it said to have grapefruit before ov and PJ after. It was already after ov when i read it so i jumped on the pj bus but don't think i could have made myself eat grapefruit before ov (bleh!)

I think it was something like grapefruit does something or other to cm and pineapple juice makes the beans more sticky.

Getting v v nervous about testing tomorrow morning.........

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 16:14

Thanks positivity everyone Smile

Biscuits you will be great tomorrow, looking forward to the final confirmation Grin

Scream That is a sure fire way of guaranteeing a positive pee stick! And you get an amazing tan too.

Just back from GP, throat infection, so have baby friendly antibiotics. I might also have told a little lie, and said I wasn't due AF till Wednesday, just in case she wanted to a do a test and jinx it all. Superstitious? Moi? Oh, and I just made a cup of tea and tried to put the kettle in the fridge. I am actually losing the plot Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 16:22

Maybe - that sounds like baby brain to me. Remind me when you are/were due?

I know you're not testing until thursday but how far over will you be?

xxx

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 16:25

Due today Biscuits I am running to the loo every 5 minutes to check Blush

I just wish I didn't have these strange cramps, then I may be a tad more positive

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 16:29

Oh well good luck Maybe for the remaining 5 million toilet trips. I had the weirdest feeling this afternoon where I actually needed a wee - ie I hadn't been going to the toilet every 15 minutes anyway and had left it long enough between visits that I actually needed a wee. Very odd......

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 16:32

Haha, brilliant Biscuits actually needing a wee? Whatever next, needing a wee without wanting to stick cardboard in it? Grin

Will DH be back by testing time tomorrow to hold your hand?

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 16:38

Yup, DH back tonight. Have FR ready to go and bulk ordered CBDs off amazon Confused

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 16:59

Excellent Biscuit on both counts Smile

Who else is testing this week?

Imps7 · 25/07/2011 17:06

STOP PRESS

I just ran from one end of the kitchen to the other and my boobs hurt a little bit.

This is exciting news, non?

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 17:08

Tres tres exciting Imps.
More proof as if proof were needed Smile

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 17:16

Oui Oui Imps Sore boobage is most definitely sign that Baby Fedex is ready to produce a positive pee stick Grin

TinFairy · 25/07/2011 17:17

maybe, I'm testing twice a day, every day on Saturday.

Imps, could you be more updiffed? Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 17:21

Tin when are / were you due. I have a good mind to phone Amazon and demand they hand deliver your tests this instant. Do they not understand the urgency here?

havealittlefaithbaby · 25/07/2011 17:29

OK, so I'm going shopping tomorrow. Will be buying cartons of pineapple juice to drink with lunch, already got DH on wellman vits - the answer to the above question about contents of zinc is not really! I initially bought pregnacare conception vits - costs a flippin' fortune! - but when I looked at Boots own the content were the same. Ginseng is meant to help too. I have switched DH to caffiene free coke. Restricted hot baths. Had HSG.....rats! watch out!
Have to confess I'm struggling to keep up but think the general gist is...:
biscuits that's brilliant news!! :) look forward to 100% confirmation in the morning!
maybe enough cynicism thank you it just won't wash!
ninja the exhaustion sounds promising. The weekend plans are ironic enough to be in the timing couldn't be worse category.
imps clearly sore boobs when running is just adding to the proof that you are indeed pregnant.
I still haven't given up hope for this cycle. Futility fiend hasn't said I ovulated yet so I'm hoping that my illness has delayed ov and we can crack it tonight even though DH and I agreed not to "try" this month but not to not try.

TinFairy · 25/07/2011 17:29

Not due til Friday, Biscuits. Hoping postie will have delivered my pee sticks by the time I get home from work. I really shouldn't have started testing so early...think I took my first test before we'd even SWI'd

No symptoms today, except the veiny wrists (wtf is that about?) and the perpetually sore boobs. Oh, I did feel queasy in a meeting after drinking coffee...but I may have to put that down to shit coffee rather than my preggo brain trying to tell me that I should be laying off caffeine.

havealittlefaithbaby · 25/07/2011 17:32

tinfairy that's not too mental. I did too (just to be 100% sure before hsg). I also had a really strong compulsion to tell a colleague I was expecting on Friday....we haven't even had swi yet. Am I a little bit crazy?!

TinFairy · 25/07/2011 17:51

Tiny bit crazy maybe, have, but that's what rat smacking and brooking NI argument does to a girl

I may also have pee'd on a opk yesterday because I had no tests left. Now that is more than a little bonkers, no?

TinFairy · 25/07/2011 17:51

NI? NI? fucking iPhone. no obviously!

LoveInAColdChamberOfSecrets · 25/07/2011 17:54

Congratulations, Biscuits!

Maybe - I have had cramps since BFP Day until now. Really freaked me out I must say but apparently it is totally normal. Hope yours are the good kind of cramps.

Everyone else - keep up the good work, you are all glowing radiantly.

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 18:08

Hope those sticks come tomorrow Tin It's good you are testing every day and covering all bases waiting till Saturday

Have there is no way that rat isn't going to get smacked this month. It is a forgone conclusion!

maybebabyR · 25/07/2011 18:10

PS Hope all is going well on the antenatal thread Love

Imps7 · 25/07/2011 18:33

Have I feel you've been let down so far:

OooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH that highlighter is amazing Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2011 18:36

I have to agree with Imps, Have that is possibly the best highlighter I've ever seen in my life. And I am quite the highlighter connoisseur after my many years of studying and then working in a job where the documents I had to read were so dull I had to highlight them to stop myself from dropping off.

Good job on possessing such a highlighter!
