New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
NinjaChipmunk · 21/07/2011 12:59

yes, it is 1 o'clock and deffo lunch time. Has Dr Dukan ordered you something nice?

thelittlefriend · 21/07/2011 13:06

OMG you lot, it's taken me about 1/2 hour to catch up. So...

Scream, yes I did give in and poas this morning. There was a funny little thing on it, but it looked more like a bit of fluff than a bfp.

Tinfairy if I were you I would already be in the antenatal thread.

Imps I was gutted to wake up this morning not having had a vivid dream. Only for my dp to tell me that he'd had the weirdest dream! The bastard's stolen my pregnancy!

farfalla - "shoving a whole loo roll up my fanjo to see what comes out" - love it!!!!

And finally, as I'm sure you're all wondering, I also seem to have snot in my knickers.

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 13:23

Alas Ninja Dick Dukan )as I am now affectionately calling him) says I can only eat protein. And I don't want protein.

This sounds intriguing Little fluff you say? I bet it was a line Grin

TinFairy · 21/07/2011 13:31

Do you not have to wave your pee stick showing your confirmed BFP at a bouncer on the way into the antenatal thread? Do you think my BFWTF* will be sufficient to grant me access?

*big fat What The Fuck??

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 13:41

Brilliant! I now have an image of Aubergine guarding the entrance to the antenatal thread Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 21/07/2011 13:51

I think you have to go through some heavy dark red velvet curtains into a rather lovely lounge area. I'm looking forward to being able to visit there soon.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 14:05

Maybe that chillies story made me both laugh out loud and wince in pain simultaneously!! My work colleagues all think I'm insane now...

Imps I love the idea that your DP has stolen your pregnancy! Oh if only that was an option!!

As for me, I've been having a crazy day. I've been feeling nauseous and dizzy for a few days now. Every now and then when I get up suddenly I have to sit straight back down! Today however is the first time I've got insanely dizzy whilst already sitting down! Seriously, I'm so sea sick right now I keep having to hold onto the table! I simply cannot believe I'm on stationary ground (well technically I'm seven floors up on an ergonomically designed office chair - maybe this is where I'm going wrong?)

Has anyone else been feeling dizzy recently? Or felt dizzy during a previous pregnancy? (I mean one before our current pregnancies of course!). Seriously this is the only change that has been happening to me recently that I can definitively say never happens in the week before my period! It's either a symptom of my newly pregnant state, or there's something very wrong...

p.s. I love the new thread name farfalla ! We have to use that when this thread maxes out (probably in about 3 hours given the current rate new messages are being added!)

MooseCakey · 21/07/2011 14:12

Dizziness sounds like a symptom to me scream, and I even found an expert to agree with me! www.womens-health-questions.com/pregnancysymptoms.html

Now all you need is a well behaved pee stick

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 14:13

Dizziness def a symptom Scream Remind me how many DPO/AF due again?

I am so pleased to see a nice variety of symptoms this week. Hurrah for HCG!

scarletfingernail · 21/07/2011 14:16

Wow looks like there's going to be an influx of BFPs over the weekend. You all sound so pregnant.

For me, AF is packing her bags and making to leave (CD4). I've told her good riddance, that she's not welcome here for at least a year and I'm brooking no argument.

Clear Blue FM has new batteries and been completely re-set and is just waiting until CD6 for me to POAS. Although I'm going to try and SWI from day 10-20 this month to make sure my body knows I'm in no mood for it's stupid tricks.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 14:30

Maybe I'm 11 DPO at the moment and the pee sticks are refusing to play ball! Obviously I'm only talking about the ONE pee stick I argued with first thing this morning and I'm completely ignoring the emergency pee stick I bought at midday when I was so dizzy I couldn't walk in a straight line Personally I just don't believe in POAS'ing twice in one day. Ahem.

I have recently cancelled a scheduled appearance from AF on Monday. She's seen the rat, she knows what will happen if she tries to turn up

Ooooo Scarlett good luck with the SWI from cd 10 - 20! (If you figure out how to get your DP to ever sleep with you again afterwards, please let me know!)

Thanks for the scientific backup Moose ! With all these faulty pee sticks around there is sometimes a moment's worry that maybe I'm just ill and completely ignoring it because of my obvious pregnancy!

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 14:34

I'm 11 DPO too Scream Fancy that!

I also don't believe in POAS twice a day, or even three times for that matter Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 14:37

I'm 11 dpo too Maybe and Scream - surely this must be a sign of some sort that we are all pregnant just because it is too much of a coincidence otherwise?

And surely from Mother Nature's point of view she must have soe sort of organisational thing going on whereby she just sorts out pregnancies on certain days so perhaps she'll do pregnancies for ovulations on a certain day (perhaps one or two days a week) and then that leaves her the other days to worry about paperwork and the weather and things? So we must have all ov'd on one of her pg days. Surely......

farfallarocks · 21/07/2011 14:38

Also rat smackers, do bear in mind that if you ovulate later then the whole 'works 6 days before AF due' tests will not work.

A very nice explanation here
www.peeonastick.com/hptfaq.html#1

I did not get a BFP until 2 days AFTER missed AF and that was with a super sensitive job

by the way, that link is hilarious and the lady who runs it would be right at home on this thread of fellow nutters comedians

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 14:38

Yay! We're cycle buddies Maybe ! This means we have the same due date (right?) Not that I know what date that is, of course. Wink

scarletfingernail · 21/07/2011 14:39

Blush Hmm, wondering now if I'm being over-optimistic re rat smacking for 10 days.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 14:40

Oops, crossed post! Yay for Biscuits also being a cycle buddy!!

maybebabyR · 21/07/2011 14:43

Well, just so we all know then, we are due on 2nd April Grin

Farfalla That woman is my idol. I would love to have a job that actually involved peeing on sticks! It would make me feel far more sane than I do right now Hmm

I have strange pains in lower tummy. Obviously some kind of implanting. Not wind...

GenericDietCola · 21/07/2011 14:44

Wow, you're chatty today! Look what happens when I'm working and trying not to obsess think about ttc!

How exciting re the gang who are 11dpo - it'll be a race to the first BFP. Sounds like there are a couple of very promising candidates

At CD4 (pregnancy day 4) I too am having dizzy spells thought I suspect that's something to do with evil AF.

Anyone admitting to any post-lunchbreak-dash-to-Boots POAS action in the loos this afternoon?

GenericDietCola · 21/07/2011 14:46

Scarlet crikey - good show on the rat smacking plan

Biscuitsandtea · 21/07/2011 14:50

Still a pee-stick free zone here. AND I went to Sainsburys today.

Mind you I took DS with me to 'help' and feel at least 15 years older than I did when I went in - do you think that would negatively impact on my fertility if I am now feeling 48 instead of 33?

I don't think I could have dragged myself down another aisle to pick up a test even if AF was a month late....

On the other hand there were all sorts of things going into the trolley that weren't on the list so maybe DS's 'supermarket sweep' style of shopping will have accidentally put one in? I'll go and unpack the shopping and find out......

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 21/07/2011 14:58

You can do it Scarlet ! Go for it! Just tell your DP that it has been scientifically proven that 10 days of consecutive rat smacking is essential for your already established pregnancy. Plus make him lots of yummy dinners and give him lots of compliments! Lol!

Generic doesn't the dizziness suck?! Can't wait for us both to move beyond the dizzy stage and straight into the effortlessly-glowing stage! Grin

GenericDietCola · 21/07/2011 15:04

Biscuits I admire your spirit - good on you for delaying the inevitable - we all know you're preggo anyway. Love going shopping with toddlers - you always end up with fun stuff!

Scream - yeah glowing would be good. Can't wait for my massive bump to appear and to be able to wear the wardrobe full of maternity stuff I am optimistically not packing away until this child is safely born (the child I am going to conceive by twice-daily rat smacking in a few days time)

Disclaimer: maternity wear from when I was preg with DD y'understand, I haven't got totally carried away with positivity and bought a wardrobe full of stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

scarletfingernail · 21/07/2011 15:14

Hey Generic we can be cycle buddies. It's a bit like dieting, when you tell me how much rat-smacking you've been doing, it will inspire me to do better and vice-versa. There's no way our eggs are slipping away this month!

MooseCakey · 21/07/2011 15:37

Well I said I'd have trouble waiting until tomorrow to do another test after this morning's really faint line. Just poas with another Internet cheapie and it was a definite line! Still lighter than the control line but I think I'll call that a BFP! Just to be on the safe side I'm going to get an early response test, can't quite believe it.
