New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

Great dress farfalla, especially since it "redefines comfort at every stage". What more could your impending bump want?!

farfallarocks · 19/07/2011 18:46

Indeed!
Right we will have to co-ordinate Isabella Oliver colours.
I am cornering the winter wedding red market.
Plum is gone.
I think green, white and black remain!
Have a nice evening all.

Imps7 · 19/07/2011 18:58

I bagsy the green!

Pffft Selma Blair will have nothing on us.

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 19:50

Have good thinking - you will def be preg by Sept (me too for an extended family holiday - I can't wait to show everyone my 12 week scan picture - I have it all planned)

Farfalla - I love that dress! And it's on sale - surely that is a sign?

Maybe you will be off the booze but playing coy - ooh you'll be able to do the smug look, hand on belly move when people comment on your sobriety

Stupidly used one of the dysfunctional pee sticks tonight but it was only BFN because (1) it's too early (2) it wasn't FMU and (3) the stupid things aren't working anyway

Biscuitsandtea · 19/07/2011 19:54

These faulty pg test strips really are a national scandal are't they - I am surprised the BBC news team haven't picked up on it at least a little bit. Or Newnight..... Hmm

BTW - I love that dress too - although no weddings to attend but whiled away a happy 10 minutes browsing their other stuff which will one day soon be covering up my bump :)

maybebabyR · 19/07/2011 19:56

Generic you are so right, I have been practicing my smug look Grin

Ignore the pee sticks. I've never trusted cardboard anyway

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 20:01

I think I've worked out the problem - the news people are too busy on the phone hacking stuff to deal with the real issue of the pee sticks.

Maybe lol at "I've never trusted cardboard" - I quite agree - how can a stupid flimsy strip of card tell me one of the most important things ever?

maybebabyR · 19/07/2011 20:19

Exactly Generic That's my excuse reason and I'm sticking by it.

I am about to start baking. Again. I think I have issues Grin

jaggythistle · 19/07/2011 20:24

I'm going to have to stay off the baking for a few days at least. although my colleagues seem to appreciate the effort, they and DH do seem to be wondering why all the baking?

they'll miss my cakes when I'm on maternity leave. well they claimed to last time. not really me, just the cakes. :)

TinFairy · 19/07/2011 20:39

I can lend weight the the national defective pee stick scandal. Mine are broken too.

Luckily, some First Response tests fell into my basket in Boots today (have you seen the price of those? That's another scandal for the BBC to expose once they're cleared up this little phone hacking mess).

Anyone like to place bets on how long it will take me to cave and break out the First Repsonses? AF is due on the 29th but will obviously be absent

AnyHumanHearth · 19/07/2011 20:42

Nice IO dress, folks. A friend lent me her one last time I was pregnant and it was fab - although v v low cut if I remember, so you might need something under it? (it's important to get these things sorted straight away, I find.)

CD3 here, so a mere 25 days until I can confirm what we already know. My work may be upping the ante on the whole timing-couldn't-be-worse thing by announcing more redundancies today. Harrumph. Obviously good for baby-making, but rather less good for house-moving, which is supposed to be happening in the next few months.

Bit late to reply, but spotting is DEFINITELY a sign of implantation. Definitely and definitively. Even though I've never had it myself, sob.

maybebabyR · 19/07/2011 20:42

Oooh, I think we should start a book Tin My bet is on Saturday am.

Are the first responses still 2 for 1? They are so so expensive. I refuse to use them now until I have at least 3 positive cheapies

AnyHumanHearth · 19/07/2011 20:46

Oh yes I reckon Saturday too, Tin
If you're anything like me, willpower isn't too bad during the week when I'm rushing to get to work, sort the baby out, general busyness. But as soon as the weekend arrives, I crumble in the face of (very expensive) tests.

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 20:57

Tin no rush to test, you already know you're up the duff

Anyhumanhearth I have decided to be your cycle buddy - this 'spotting' isn't implantation, it's CD2 and therefore I am already 2 days pregnant - hurrah!

AnyHumanHearth · 19/07/2011 21:08

Hurrah, Generic - cycle buddies we are! How exciting, I've never had one of those before. I also promise not to hold it against you if when it does turn out to have been implantation after all. How early is too early to imagine experience symptoms, do you think? (I just had five goes at spelling symptoms before getting it right, so think I'm there already.) Nothing to do with the wine I'm drinking, of course.
Actually, I remember in the dim and distant past when I thought it was a bit sad to sit here drinking wine on my own (husband away for work this week). Screw top wine bottles have a lot to answer for, it feels so much less sad than uncorking a bottle on your own.

maybebabyR · 19/07/2011 21:11

Grin at screw tops Any you are so right!

Hot chocolate cup cakes in the oven. I feel so bloated tonight that I can't be bothered to stand up

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 21:12

I've never had one either! I should think we will be having symptoms any time now - you clearly have baby brain already so I fully expect to have the same by tomorrow.

Totally agree re screw top wine!

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 21:13

xposts Maybe - save me a cup cake, I will be needing it to hatch a beautiful egg later this month

maybebabyR · 19/07/2011 21:18

Will Fedex you one over Generic. No Imps, not baby Fedex. I'm not one for child labour Grin

AnyHumanHearth · 19/07/2011 21:18

Ooh, chocolate cupcakes Maybe - please can I have one too? Another problem with the wine glugging is it really makes me fancy chocolate. Or maybe that's another pregnancy symptom, too.
Not lazy at all, by the way. You must think of the baby.

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 21:23

Maybe you are sooo pregnant. When are you confirming? This weekend?

maybebabyR · 19/07/2011 21:27

Any it's definitely the baby, not the wine. And it is clearly a girl, due to the chocolate and wine cravings.

Generic, is there any need to confirm Grin

Thinking of testing Friday, as I will have run out of pregnacare conception Grin

GenericDietCola · 19/07/2011 21:42

Oh Maybe the timing is perfect

havealittlefaithbaby · 19/07/2011 21:47

Excellent plan maybe. Sit on those hands. Don't waste money on stupid pee sticks that won't be right until af is missing! I refuse to spend a fortune on stupid, manipulative pee sticks that lie. I will use only internet cheapies (that also lie but at least are cheap) and I have one digi clear blue for when I get at least 3 confirmations from the internet cheapies Hmm have only ever had one positive from a cheapo.....this month peeps! It's the one!

Biscuitsandtea · 19/07/2011 21:49

Have do you mean you got a bfp from a cheapie this month? I mean obv you are 100% pg but have you had a pee stick confirm it?
