Hi everyone, welcome to Bleats, I only joined officially yesterday but have been lurking. Fingers crossed readynow and cookiem. Wallydog - you never know!

I went to the dr to get my 21 day blood results and she forgot to test for that, everything else on the list was ok though so have to have another test this month. Plus I think because she felt bad she is sending me for a pelvic scan not to waste time, doesnt sound too thrilling but will call and make the appointment on Monday.

I have been Internet scaring myself. Read something about increasing chances of conception by giving up all alcohol and caffeine and decaff coffee/drinks. I am already on decaff tea and cover but no alcohol at any time! Is anyone else taking such drastic action!?

Pipbin · 03/09/2011 21:42

Is being massively pissed off a sign? And having a headache? But mainly the pissed off? Really, really pissed off?

blonderedhead · 04/09/2011 00:40

@anytime I hadn't even thought about caffeine until reading something on here... I don't drink coffee but had been happily having a few cups of tea at work, might have to buy some decaff teabags. I'm avoiding alcohol etc apart from when AF comes...

J4D3 · 04/09/2011 09:32

Hello to everyone! Not been around this week as AF pissed me off royally and have also been visiting family.

A big hello to all the newcomers and congrats to the BFPs.

blonde - Give up coffee too, really? Oh dear... maybe that explains my lack of luck. I think I weekly drink my bodyweight in coffee. Boo!

Failsafe · 04/09/2011 10:13

Hi everyone, well testing day should be wed and on day 28 today couldn't Wait anylonger so had to poas!
Wish I hadn't now as I'm not sure if there is a v v. faint line or if its my eyes seeing something that isn't there..so will try and Wait until tues to retest.

See I told you all I'd be crazy by the end of the month! [Grin]

Readynow · 04/09/2011 10:32

Oohh Pipbin pissed offness could be a sign? FX. Especially if you don't normally feel pissed off at this time?
Not sure about the headache though. I get them & a blocked up nose during my 2ww & have read that this is an effect of the progesterone. But who knows Confused How much longer have you got until you can test?

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 04/09/2011 13:51

Great news Floydie Grin
Love it when we get BFPs Wink

TomboyWife · 04/09/2011 14:58

Pipbin when I was pg almost the first sign was having a really frighteningly short temper and screaming a lot and throwing things.

Grats Floydie!

Pipbin · 04/09/2011 17:13

I like the sound of that in the oddest way Tomboy.
I also have super sore boobs and backache. I normally get backache when AF is here but not before.
I also had a headache, I never ever get headaches.

Pipbin · 04/09/2011 17:15

Oh and readynow I should be testing on Saturday.

Tibbycat · 04/09/2011 18:16

Hello all, I'm new to this thread. Ttc, month one for us Smile here for a virtual hug. Exciting, emotional roller-coaster of a time! Same for anyone else?

I had a copper coil removed 4th Aug. LOTS of SWI all over OV time and beyond!

Period was due 4 days ago and all bfn tests. Admit to becoming a but obsessive with the hpt's! Here's to not bring the only one! AF usually like clockwork.

Last night I tested as in addition to the missed period I'm bloated, bb's ache on and off, cramps on and off, sickie on and off and massive over-sensitivity to smells! Dishwasher or even fairy liquid stomach churning Confused and anyway, last night very very very faint shadow on a line...had to look for it but hubby could see it too. I hardly slept, woke up at 5am and tested with my morning wee...nothing. Bfn!

Still no sign mrs AF! Feeling a bit Sad about it all really as you can imagine. Last nights test still has the line which appeared almost immediately and it's remained but why the bfn now?? Sad

My thoughts are...

1.Chemical pregnancy bur people usually have their AF by now.

  1. period late due to copper coil but phoned FP clinic and they said v.rare as no hormones.
  2. Miscarriage on its way Sad
  3. pregnant!!! Grin whoop!
  4. Last nights test faulty, too much dye etc

The test was a cheapie from eBay but after tons of research they look reliable. 10hcg level sensitivity.

Suggestions and virtual hugs welcome. X

Can others update on their experience so far. Xx

Tibbycat · 04/09/2011 18:20

Anytime, I've cut the booze but still have two cappuccinos a day Wink

Pipbin · 04/09/2011 21:00

tibby No suggestion lovey other than to wait. {{hugs}}
How many days passed OV are you.

In other news my nipples just won't stop tingling.

Tibbycat · 04/09/2011 21:22

Pipbin...thank you Smile
Im 18 days past, 19 tomorrow! You'd think a hcg test at 10 would pick up by this stage. It never did for my mum though, not even with my 14 year old sister. My mum was 13 weeks before she went to the docs feeling generally under the weather, all hpt had been bfn, even the Wednesday before she had the blood test! No preg symptoms other than she felt a bit sicky run down and tired.

Lucylucy57 · 05/09/2011 10:25

Tibbycat Im keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Pipbin · 05/09/2011 18:23

10dpo. What do we think? Implantation bleed or the start of AF?
Heart says implantation, mind say AF.

Tibbycat · 05/09/2011 19:15

Thank you Lucy Lucy! The not knowing either way is a killer!!

Hello all! Tested this morning and could hardly see a line but have come home and couldn't resist (thank goodness they are only cheapies!) and the line is definitely getting stronger! Saving a clearblue for if it gets stronger.

Crampy all day, was so sure AF was coming but nothing. Kept feeling (sorry if tmi) 'wet' all morning too Confused grim...kept going to the loo and expecting AF...nothing as I said though.

Have the magic line per stick here (hardly bold) faint still but absolute line. My hubby did one too to check it wasn't the test and no line Smile lol.

Need a glowing line to be convinced though! Grin

Any news from anyone else?
Good Monday at work? Xx

Pipbin · 05/09/2011 21:27

Sounds exciting Tibby!
I'm spotting and just praying that it's implantation.

(Although actually to get updiffed in December/ January would be better for me)

Tibbycat · 06/09/2011 07:08

And another negative this morning, even after the 2 positives over the last 2 nights :(

bradderswantsababy · 06/09/2011 09:02

Tibby this must be driving you mad I have everything crossed for you that the line gets stronger. The fact that the line has shown up is a positive thing. Why can't our bodies just play the game and tells us straight either way!! Confused

Lucylucy57 · 06/09/2011 12:55

I agree with Bradders, a faint line is still a line! Staying positive for you.

AF turned up with a vengence yesterday afternoon which at least gives me the opportunity to give the fertility monitor a crack. Really wasnt convinced that I even ovulated last month so just being able to get some info on that will really help.

Tibbycat · 06/09/2011 19:03

Braggers and all, went to the doctors and she sent me packing. Said I was probably pregnant but usually two weeks post period before the majority if people knew.??? Who knows! Sitting tight now with my very sore boobs. Either AF is on route or I'm pregnant...simple as that!

I've discounted other options such as coil (copper only) removal disrupting cycle. Two doctors have both said unheard of now so that's something.

Feeling Sad a bit lonely as hubby not a good listener, even though he tries.

Thanks to you all being good listeners. Sorry to go on.

Over to mother nature.

Pipbin · 06/09/2011 19:40

Tibby you must be going mad!

We are all here to listen.

I've never heard of this 'you don't know until two weeks after you period' business.

TomboyWife · 06/09/2011 22:33

Tibby the fact that you've got any sort of line means something's going on. Like others have said, it could be a chemical pregnancy. I had a suspected chemical pg back in February. All the pg symptoms, one test out of 4 maybe a tiny bit positive, period over two weeks late. When we did conceive for sure two months later (sadly miscarried), the symptoms were exactly the same.

It's awful not knowing, but either the line will get stronger, or you'll eventually get AF. And even if you do get AF, you'll know you've conceived once and chances are you'll do it again soon.

Pipbin any news?

Pipbin · 06/09/2011 23:03

Nothing yet Tomboy.

I've had brown discharge all day, but the tiniest amount. Could be implantation, however AF tends to send an advance party so it could be that.
