desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 16:42

Get shagging Pip! :o

Nice to see you around Floydie :)

Pipbin · 25/08/2011 16:47

We have been doing lots of DIY and DH is cream crackered. He's not interested in any advances! I've not told him that it's been positive as I don't want him to get performance anxiety!!

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 16:49

Cook him a nice dinner...slip him a couple of drinks and then, well I'm sure you can think of something to at least get part of him interested Wink. Even if Mr. Desperate is knackered, I can usually get Mr. Desperate jnr to play ball! Fnaaaarrrr :o

AllChange2011 · 25/08/2011 18:28

Hello all,

Well little did the postman know today that he was delivering many sticks for me to pee on! Thought I was pretty regular with my cycles but since coming off Cerazette had variation from 24 to 33 days Confused so ordered lots of ovulation tests - and the other tests too (always an optimist!) Really not noticing normal ov signs at all so gave in to the tests although trying not to get obsessive - honest!!!

Have gone for some cheapies and some Clear Blue digitals - got a box of 7 on Amazon for £7 which was a total bargain!

Good luck to everyone :)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 25/08/2011 19:28

Pip, if you can do the deed within 24-36 hours of getting a positive on the op stick then your in with a chance. Now's the time to start the every-other-day regimen, get in there, go go go! Grin

Timtam78 · 25/08/2011 21:17

oooh good luck with the hubbie pipbin ;oP

Inspired me to do my own opk tonight. On day 15 of my first cycle and no sign of the normal ov signs either AllChange, so thought i'd give it a try too. Negative though, no suprise. Got a feeling I'm in for a long first cycle!

Pipbin · 27/08/2011 09:56

Well he was knackered and we had a blazing row on Thursday but up on Friday night.

Timtam it was day 20 for me! I don't normally test but I'd had loads of EWCM and wanted to see what was going on.

Lucylucy57 · 27/08/2011 12:38

Need a bit of advice if possible. Temperatures this cycle have been fairly typical but Im not seeing any rise yet and its day 21 now. My temp actually went down today from the previous few days average, not that they were as high as the end of last month. I also havent seen any of the usual 'pant goo' (sorry TMI) but have had all the aches and a little bit of light coloured spotting last night and this morning. My cycles are usually about 31-35 days but Im getting worried that I havent even ovulated this month. Am I being crazy to think this or am I panicing too soon?

Timtam78 · 27/08/2011 12:50

:( Oh booo to the row with DH Pipbin. It's a shame about the pressure we have to time it right isn't it. Hope you managed to get down to it on the Fri though! I got my first real EWCM today! Woo! Might do another test later.

Hope everyone has a good bank hol weekend!

J4D3 · 28/08/2011 09:31

Guess who visited me last night... THE COW! Oh well, I'm going to have to hang on a little longer. With my cycles I'm not going to OV until October :( Boo-Hoo!

Good luck to everyone coming close to AF. I hope she doesn't spoil anyone else's month!

vanfurgston · 28/08/2011 11:03

J4D3 i had my fingers crossed 4 u :( guess it didnt help
she is a heartless witch indeed wen u need her to visit never makes an appearance

Pipbin · 28/08/2011 18:17

(TMI)
Friday night and all day Saturday!
It was for fun but I rather hope it wasn't in vain too.

J4D3 · 29/08/2011 11:33

Thanks Van :) I'm not going to get too cut up about it, at least it's a sign that this body of mine is working!

Wahoo Pip All day Saturday?? That must have been exhausting ;)

Pipbin · 29/08/2011 11:46

Well I say all day, three times, which is a close as one gets to all day after 10 years of marriage.

TomboyWife · 29/08/2011 14:01

Afternoon ladies,

That is, afternoon anyone who still remembers who I am. Blush Not had a lot of time to post, as bloody usual.

Lucy you may well be on an anovulatory cycle. Most women have them every now and again, but that doesn't make them any less frustrating. Angry

Pip "and three times on Sunday". Wow, I'm impressed. Grin

For my part, I'm in the weird position of hoping I'm not pg this cycle as I'm changing jobs. The timing on this is not ideal, but it was a now-or-never opportunity and I took it -- but not before we'd SWIed once already. I don't think I'm pg as I have no real symptoms, and ideally I'd like to remain un-pg for the next couple of months while I settle in. But on the other hand, I'm almost 37...

Pipbin · 29/08/2011 15:09

Tomboy I'm in much the same position as you. Really I could do with waiting a few months but as I'm 36 the ticking is too loud to let that happen. I managed to convince DH that there will never be a good time.
Our problem is that I am the breadwinner.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 29/08/2011 18:39

Flip Pip! THREE times in ONE day, AND you've been married for 10 years?!?!?
Shock I am in AWE!!!! Wink

I've been camping in a forest for the weekend and have tried very hard not to think about the fact that it's been 4 weeks since my mc and AF hasn't showed yet - it could either be good or bad, and I'm forcing myself to wait until Sat to poas... I don't want bad news and trying sooooooo hard not to get my hopes up!
Absolutely no symptoms, but then there weren't any last time either....

Pipbin · 29/08/2011 18:51

Late we have both been off work since mid July so I think it was boredom!

MrsSET · 29/08/2011 20:38

Hi there,

My cycles have flipped from 36 down to 23 days and but averaging 31/33 so basically I don't exactly know when my period would be due!

My last period was on 29 July and I ovulated on 14 Aug (so 15 days ago).

I assume my period would have been due this weekend and have done 2 tests with Internet cheap tests today and have had the faintest of faint lines on them (literally holding up to the light!). The one I did this morning dried slightly stronger but it says you should discard the result after 10 mins so I am not sure to believe this or not? The one just now is fainter.

But the weirder thing is that I don't feel ANY different at all - nothing. I have biggish boobs and would expect them to have changed?!

Anyway, will test again tomorrow AM but as you can imagine the wait is killing me so any guidance either way would be gratefully received!

Thanks!

Pipbin · 29/08/2011 21:56

Well the normal understanding is that a line is a line.
Don't trust ones once it has dried though.

At 15 days PO its would be very early for a test to pick it up.
Get a CB digital or First Response to be sure.

MrsSET · 30/08/2011 06:17

Another feint line this morning.... wishing others luck too!! :)

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 30/08/2011 06:39

It's sounding good MrsSET, fingers crossed the line gets stronger over the next few days Grin
I tend to wait until AF is a week late before poas, that cuts out the feint line conundrums! When I got a bfp I didn't have any symptoms at all, they kind of started a week or so after the test, at about 6 weeks I suppose. Wink

vanfurgston · 30/08/2011 10:21

hey guys i didnt know there was so much science involved (blush) can someone please explain wat OPK and poas and all the rest of it is.
thanks

Readynow · 30/08/2011 11:10

POAS is pee on a stick (either an ovulation predictor one - OPK - or a pregnancy test - sometimes referred to as HPT!)
lucy hope your temps have sorted themselves out. It may just be you are ovulating late this month?
I had a different cycle last month when my temps did not show a sustained rise until after CD17 so FF reckoned I ovulated on CD17 that month. This may have been the case but all other signs (CM/OPK etc..) pointed to me ovulating on CD14. If FF was correct & I didn't ovulate 'til CD17 then my LP must have been particularly short last month as I only had a 27 day cycle. I thought the LP was supposed to stay pretty much the same each month & every other month my LP has been 13/14. Now am very confused! Confused
This month we are just having SWI every other day & I am not going by OPK's/temps etc - they just confuse me too much!
