oh my goodness sparkly can't believe you're soooo close...............how exciting...but also how annoying that we can't keep up to date on your progress....as soon as you can please do update. I'll be thinking of you and sending dilating vibes....did you remember to pack a picture of an unfolding rose? Really look forward to hearing all about it, especially about the first snuggle.......
worm really sorry that you are still in limbo, I guess the good news is that those indications don't seem to indicate anything v bad and you can go back in at any time. I know that isn't that reassuring........as sparkly says it's so hard to keep track of movements. I woke up at 4am today and couldn't get back to sleep and have been feeling vaguely sick all day. So when I got home from work I realised that bump had been v quiet all day so started frantically poking her until I got a reaction.....Poor thing, she was probably just sleeping. I hope you are able to relax a bit and enjoy Xmas....and it's good you've got another scan and cs date. I have a scan next Thurs too, don't really know why but it was booked when I was 10 weeks so I might as well go.
harassed lovely to have you back on the thread, thanks for the tips. I've been making an effort to sit on my kneeling chair and ball but am just v tired. Can't go on all fours cos of sore wrists......sounds like things are in a positive state for you too.....hope sweep goes well tomorrow too.
wombat am loving the tips.......there is so much to know...i feel v underprepared for the baby part, I'm still working on the birth part!
kool we can keep the thread warm whilst the others are away giving birth. We've got a bugaboo bee, it seems to be the smallest/lightest but we don't have a car so can't advise on that aspect

I'm off to bed........soooo tired

wombatinwaiting · 22/12/2011 22:45

Goodness - this is more exciting than watching the announcement of which city would host the 2012 Olympics but the best bit is that it doesn't matter if it's Spaklyville or Harrasedtown first, we'll be celebrating them both with equal joy! Have settled in with large cuppa and copious mince pies to watch the final furlong!

So

wombatinwaiting · 22/12/2011 23:10

Oh, and we should probably add the Kurt G boots into the list of contenders since their appearance in coventry, their odds on being the next arrival have shortened to 4-1!

Sorry that you weren't more reassured by your appt worm. Good that you are being closely monitored and you have your c section date. Here's to miniworm having just the right amount of sanity-saving movements over the next couple of weeks.

How are you doing yellow? When does ml start and is your replacement in situ yet? Are you still getting your 9 hours sleep (envy.....)

Had another lactation consultant come see me yesterday as still having right boob issues. Fx all seems to be back on track but by goodness you have to work at it. 3 separate people have said that 6 weeks seem to be the magic mark.... Bring it on.... However, I don't want to miss these precious early weeks with gorgeous Jack wishing them away. If you guys get stuck too, the feeding threads here on mn are hugely helpful. He seems to only finally settle to sleep when he has a boob in his mouth and I'm worrying about creating a rod for my own back - suggestions welcome!

Waves to all xx

koolforcats · 22/12/2011 23:11

All the very, very best sparkly xxx

worm so sorry that you're not feeling more reassured. I think it's worth bearing in mind that if they were really concerned they'd have booked your cs for now, if not sooner, so hang in there, I know that it's going to be hard to not do any worrying but I'm sure it's gonna be ok.

yellow what good taste you have! I'm sold Xmas Smile

Good luck harassed!

wombat wishing you a lovely first Christmas with baby J xx

I had an impromptu listen to bubba's heartbeat today as I managed to go A over T after dropping off a letter at the doctors. Everyone was so lovely, I knew I hadn't fallen on my bump but I did go flying so it was quite a jolt and I was a bit tearful. A lovely doctor appeared and checked me over, commented on my "good size for 26 weeks" (did he mean whale?!) and even measured my bump which is the first time that's been done!

Sparklywine · 23/12/2011 07:02

Morning all, just popped on for a mn hug before I leave for hospital in (eek) less than an hour. Thanks for all your support everyone, couldn't have done it without you - send chilled vibes please, bit nervous!
Will hopefully be back before crimbo day, but if not have a lovely lovely Christmas everyone.
Wombat, no such thing as a rod for your own back at this early stage, just do what you need to do chick. Sounds as if you are coping brilliantly, and well done for seeking help where needed, hope I have the same open mind.
Kool, glad you're fine after a trip, bit scary.
Argh, faffing, later lovelies xxx

yellowtomato · 23/12/2011 08:15

Oooooh I feel all teary after reading all the posts this am. You guys really are the best, what a long journey we've been on together and so close to the finish line.
sparkly I know I've prob missed you but am sending you a big hug. Nervous is normal but how exciting that you are so close to meeting Monty. I'm so excited for you and look forward to your news.
wombat sounds like you are doing a fab job, I am starting g to feel a bit daunted by the whole actually having a baby to look after part but it helps to know illl have you guys to talk to. Yes I am still sleeping a lot, except yesterday when I woke at 4am which made me v grumpy indeed but I caught up last night! My mat cover has been in place 2 weeks andshe is good and v nice but a bit less experienced than me which is what I wanted Grin I am working until 13 th but that is only 9 more days in the office - yay!
kool glad all is well after your fall, dr was prob just being reassuring!
Right off for my last morning, love and sloppy songs to all. X

ILOUminatedXmasTree · 23/12/2011 09:11

wombatinwaiting · 24/12/2011 22:34

Gah! Why didn't I think of yellows contacts before? What news from hq please?good thinking worm. If you could spare the resources for both harassed watch and sparkly watch, the waiting public would be most grateful!

Oh and happy Christmas one and all! Xx

harassedandherbug · 24/12/2011 23:08

Nothing to see here! Just the normal Braxtons... Maybe it really is all cake...

I'm sure sparkly will be first and have a Christmas Eve baby Xmas Grin.

yellowtomato · 25/12/2011 08:56

Morning all
Merry Xmas!

Sorry have been slack, will get my people on it straight away.

Come on sparkly PUSH!

Wormshuffler · 25/12/2011 19:47

Hello Ladies
Hope you are having a lovely christmas so far, I have been stalking harassed on FB and it doesn't look like anything is happening for her yet.
I'm feeling very emotional an bursting into tears for the stupidest reasons today. I got all upset when DH opened his christmas preent, Coldplay concert tickets because he said he knew he was getting them. Silly old sod I am. At least I managed to get him one surprise............a professional window cleaning blade! Xmas Grin
I was also in a mood because I really love getting pissed tipsy while cooking the dinner and couldn't. I know a baby is worth it and felt like a brat for even thinking it. Then that made me cry!

On the baby front I am getting so breathless, if it continues I will be taking myself off to the GP on tuesday. I stupidly googled it and it came up that I could have blood clots on my lungs................ cue more irrational crying!!

Hope to hear some new baby news in the morning
Laters x

harassedandherbug · 25/12/2011 20:44

worm is right (you may have competition there yellow), nothing happening here! He'll have to get a shift on to be a Christmas day baby now lol.

Worm you do sound like me, breathless and hormonal. I keep blubbing over dd. She's so cute and loves us so much, and we go and have a baby. Hope she doesn't feel pushed out... See, teary again!

Just had a clary sage bath...fingers x'd.

yellowtomato · 26/12/2011 10:25

Happy boxing day

Ahhh worm have a hug. I was feeling a bit grumpy about not being able to get pissed yesterday as I watched DP down a bottle of champagne and then red wi e and tell me how lovely it was. We went for a walk yesterday but only managed about an hour before feeling all achy. I am resting and sleeping a lot but still feeling tired. Am also trying to be more upright on the ball and stuff, finding it difficult to get a comfy position. You should stay away from dr google worm he always comes up with the worst case. Could just be baby position, is the baby engaged yet? I was going to watch ET but that gets me hysterically crying at the best of times so I thought that wouldn't be helpful.

Come on harassed let's have some action!

Am feeling so cumbersome and bloated right now, only 5 weeks to go but that does seem like a long time.

Mince pies all round and some figgy pudding!

yellowtomato · 26/12/2011 17:07

I just realised worm that you told us before that your previous birth the baby didn't engage, I guess that is why you are a bit breathless as your lungs are squashed. Do you remember being breathless before?

Sparklywine · 26/12/2011 18:39

Ladies, just came on with a further update and realise my post of 24 Dec is not here! The Monts has arrived!
Gabriel James was born at 22.10 on Friday 23rd Dec. He is (was) 7lb 11oz and is a little cutie.
He is also screaming and dh panicking so have to go, back tomorrow hopefully with a full one handed update Xmas Grin!
Thanks to you all for your support, I shall certainly need continuing advice and some hand-holding x
What news of Harassed?
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas, will catch up properly at another point.
ps. boots arrived but ironically not had a chance to look at them!

koolforcats · 26/12/2011 20:15

Boots shmoots, you have a BABY!! Hugest congratulations, what an utterly, utterly adorable name. A great size too!

I'm sure you don't have long to read so much love to you and DH, super news Xmas Grin

harassedandherbug · 26/12/2011 20:22

Oh my goodness you've done it! What a gorgeous name too. So chuffed for you, congratulations and well done! God you deserve those boots lol.... Pooing will be fine honestly. Have you got stitches? Whether you have or not try holding a sanitary towel over your perineum. I don't know why this helps, but it does!

No progress here at sll

harassedandherbug · 26/12/2011 20:34

Bugger posted too soon!

No progress here. Went for a sweep this morning but decided to hold off until Wednesday. Reason being that its my third & final one. So I'm booked in for an induction on Friday, as apparently the induction will work better within 48 hours of sweep.

Tbh I'm gutted. It's as far away from my home birth as you can get. I've been induced before, albeit nearly 21 years ago, but it wasn't a good experience and I've been trying to avoid the hospital as much as possible. I need this baby to come before Friday!

Wormshuffler · 26/12/2011 20:43

Yey congratulations Mr and Mrs sparkly I am so very pleased for you .

wellieboots · 26/12/2011 22:29

Woohoo!!! Congratulations sparkly, a very happy Christmas present!! Gorgeous name!
