Brilliant news yellow!!! So pleased for you lovely. Isn't it just the loveliest thing to see them moving around?

Sorry I've not been on for a few days, been have a few days from hell. Feel like crawling in a box and staying there for a few weeks!!!

So, Saturday was dd's joint 5th birthday party with her best friend. Friends mum is booked for a cs on 28th, so we were dead cleve and booked entertainer/disco. Except they didn't turn up..... Well they were going to but they were going to be so late that they were told to do one. Cue, several irate complaining emails. Waiting for the boss to get back to us. They were a reasonable size, not a one man band type too. Anyway, one friend shot off to get cd's and another to get her facepaints. Dh organised all the kids and did party games with them and they all got their faces painted. They seemed to love it!

Sunday was a family christening, but by then I was just exhausted..... So yesterday I was sniffly and snuffly so had a day at home. Phoned my boss, and it wasn't what he said, it was the way it was said. Well and truly fed up!

And last night my car broke down.......

Sorry for me, me, me post. Off to catch up and post in a bit.

Star82 · 19/07/2011 12:34

Good news yellow, not so good for you harrassed. Hope you're feeling better soon. i feel like i could sleep for a week!

yellowtomato · 19/07/2011 19:33

Thank you ladies!

star good luck for tomorrow, what time is your scan? I am knackered too, really hoping to get some energy back soon.

harassed sorry you're having such a tough time, can the car be mended?

Can't remember who asked but I'm off to china and hong kong at the end of august. Surely I'll be feeling better by then?

Star82 · 19/07/2011 21:09

Midday but then have to go see this consultant after....much fun. Not!!!

Wormshuffler · 19/07/2011 21:11

Excellent news yellow really great Grin does that make you a january due date?

All the best for yours too star bet it is really interesting having seen yours from literally a bean to tomorrow with real arms and legs etc!

Sorry you have had such a shitty few days harassed they say these things come in three's so that's your three now all done and dusted, ready to face tomorrow fresh as a daisy!

mrsb I know we have discussed some filth on our various threads but fisting is a new low!!! Ha . Glad everything seems ok with the first look, hope you are well.

wombatinwaiting · 19/07/2011 23:26

Hurrah for great news yellow! So, so pleased for you - how very exciting. Have you told anyone else yet or waiting for bloods to come back? Good low measurements on the nuchal and yes please do let us know your due date.

Best of lick for tomorrow star.

Good to see you hear mrsb and thanks for lowering the tone again Grin -- we were getting way too clean and sensible! Good to hear that you seem to be functioning ok. Is DH going for any tests too?

I was really unsure about any movement I was feeling sparkly and it really didn't seem to be certain until about 19.5 weeks but some people have to wait until they're about 23 weeks. Fingers crossed for a goodie! All your worries sound completely normal.

Sorry you've been having some hassles harassed - hope your week perks up a bit.

How are you feeling these days worm?

Did you get the SWI in wellie? Hope it was both successful and fun Grin

Where's emma these days? Wherever you are, hope you're doing well.

Oh, on the asprin front, I think it's to 32 weeks but I'll be sure to check when I (hopefully) see my doc in a couple of weeks - I think I told you she broke 3 vertebrae and is out for some time - she has just cancelled her Sept deliveries and am getting nervous about her recovery in time for miniwombat at end of Sep.... The folic acid was to 12 weeks and then she told me to come off it and switch to Pregnacare. I bought flight socks for these journeys (7 hours) which I quite liked as I always get cold on flights!

Have been really enjoying my time here and it's nice not to have to cram everything in to a few days or worry that DH is getting bored as it's all about my friends. Met up with 3 old school chums today who have 7 between them so was asking them about best and worst bits of labour.... got some interesting stories which I will keep quiet on for now for fear of you all changing your minds!!

wellieboots · 20/07/2011 01:18

Very quick post from phone at work just to say yay yellow and good Luck star!

yellowtomato · 20/07/2011 08:13

Glad you are having a good time wombat my new dd is 30th Jan. Dont really understand as increased from 11+6 to 12+1 but dd moved from 3rd feb which is 4 days different.

I was wondering about stopping the folic acid, will be weird as have been taking it fir 3 years!

Not telling anyone yet, waiting until Friday to see if we get a phone call. Bit worried about that too but I did contact a few nurseries yesterday! It does feel much more real after seeing him dance about. Not very original but we're calling him Bob for now. Grin

Am really wanting my energy back, hopefully soon!

How are things purple and marathon?

Waves to all!

MarathonMama · 20/07/2011 11:23

Hi all, Sorry for being AWOL, at centre parcs with dd and 2 dsc in the pouring rain for the last few days. It's bloody hard work!

purple I'm totally in the same boat as you. 5+5 today and had a few symptoms but now they've completely gone Sad which is what happened with the mmc. Mentalling like mad and convinced it's all over. With dd I was quite queasy by now.

The wireless is shocking here so haven't read properly what people have been up to, hope everyone is thriving. Good news on the scan yellow

CuttlefishDramas · 20/07/2011 12:19

I think I'm 6 weeks now. Are there any stats anywhere?

Yellowtomato, good news about your scan.

Good luck with the consultant Star.

Marathon and Purlpebuns, I'm still mentalling over the lack of symptoms, though I'm occasionly feeling a bit sick now, and the boobs are a bit sore... Never thought I'd be so happy to feel like crud!

I've sent off my details to the midwives, but to be honest I think I'll fork out for a private scan at 8 weeks. I'm hoping I'll relax if I see a heartbeat.

Wormshuffler · 20/07/2011 18:43

Star everything ok???

Sorry to those of you on that dreaded 8 week wait, wouldn't it be great if we could just go to sleep and wake up on 12 week scan day....... try to keep busy, that's what I did, oh and tell yourself you are only half pregnant. worked for me until 12 week scan, now its a long wait until the 20 week scan too! Doesn't help that I felt loads of movement yesterday, but none today....... the doppler is going to need new batteries tonight!!

Centre parks in the rain does not sound fun! I bet the sports centre was rammed, next time we go I am definately doing the roller skating!

Contacting nurseries yellow that is definately a step in the right direction to accepting this is actually going to happen. When you have your baby in your arms in febuary you can think back to what that doom monger at Harley street said with a smug grin Grin I still have another week to wait for my blood results to come back.......

wombat glad you got access to a comp to catch us up on your trip, sounds like you are not letting the dismal weather spoil your fun. Here's hoping your OB is back at work in time to deliver mini wombat.

Star82 · 20/07/2011 21:59

Just a quick one as only just got in. DS has football league finals which got dragged out as 3 teams finished top.
All l

Star82 · 20/07/2011 22:01

On iPhone. Sorry hit send accidentally! Was just saying all looks well still. Dates the same. Nuchal was 1.6 which is low end but I am only 11+5 so not sure if that makes a difference. Had bloods sent off and I've been allowed pure midwife led care. Yay!!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Will have a proper read through when I get on the pc x

yellowtomato · 21/07/2011 07:54

Phew star was starting to worry. Hurrah for good scan, did you have bloods for the combined test too?

First nursery has prices of £1300 a month for 4 days a week Shock

Big hug to all those on the early waiting game, so tough but you just have to grit your teeth and do one day at a time.

I'm on the '3 day wait' as they will call me by Friday if I am high risk. Can't believe you have to wait 3 weeks worm I'm so jumpy around my phone, 2 days to go!

Glad you are having a good time wombat and really hope dr is back in time for you.

I am still v sick and tired. Was sick twice yesterday and fell asleep on the sofa at 8pm! Only got home from work at 7, what an exciting life!

Waves to all!

harassedandherbug · 21/07/2011 09:57

Morning! God I'll be glad to see the back of this week!!!

Has taken our local Vauxhall dealer 2 sodding days to repeat a 5 minute diagnostic test that our mechanic had already done, and charge us £50 for the privilege! The fuel pump has gone, and not covered under the part recall, so they quoted us nearly £500. So this morning dh and I have picked it up and taken it back to our mechanic who'll do it faster and cheaper! Dh wouldn't let me go into the dealer, I was going to give them my opinion Grin. Have a funny little hire car for now, a necessary expense unfortunately. Have a tiny Aygo thingy, it's like a trolley on wheels Grin.

Had mw last night and bug (as he/she is named) was very wriggly. I think she's developing a doppler phobia lol. As soon as the mw put the doppler in one place she whizzed to the other side lol. My bp isn't great at the moment, so seeing mw at 25 weeks instead of 28 weeks. Only because that's when they start testing for pre eclampsia instead of viewing it as preg related hypertension. Not too worried, I had this with dd and it all settled down during the 3rd trimester.

Star really good news!!

Yellow have a good look round at nurseries, many have long waiting lists especially if you want specific days. So it's good to do this early! Have you considered a child minder? This was the option I went with as I felt it was more of a home from home environment. They can only have one child under a year, and I really liked the one on one that dd got. I've also found her cheaper and more flexible than nurseries, although bear in mind that at some point she'll want a holiday! My cm's daughter is also a cm and she's always covered dd so far. And she's had about 5 days sickness I think, but dd has been there since she was 5 months old and is now 5yrs old! I've also found her more flexible on illnesses, and I've had to pick dd up probably twice.

worm it's normal not to feel movement every day at this stage. I'm only just beginning to notice a pattern.

cuttle I found my early scans very reassuring. I've had a mmc & mc this year, and they've scanned me at 6 & 8 weeks this time. It was brilliant at helping me get through to 12 weeks.

wombat glad you're having a lovely time! When you get home, can you please send us some sun??? Grin

marathon urgh at Centre Parcs in the rain, with loads of kids!

Sorry, this has turned into a mammoth post!!

wombatinwaiting · 21/07/2011 09:59

Yay for great scan news star and for midwife led care!

Agh re: the wait yellow - hope you have lots to distract you over the next 48 hours - it still amazes me how they can take quite so long when it is absolutely do-able in one hour..... You really have had it bad with the sickness and tiredness - feel for you. Is DP being supportive?

marathon, purple and cuttlefish - hang in there - one day at a time and repeat the mantra "symptoms come and go" - far easier said than done, I know, but it's the only thing that kept me sane(ish).

I know what you mean about the movement one day but not the next worm - I wake up each morning hoping for something immediate but he usually gives me an hour or so to mental before making an appearance!

Grabbing the PC while I can - the parents are always on it! I have been giving a few IT lessons while I've been here which is a tad painful at times but always appreciated!

wombatinwaiting · 21/07/2011 10:13

x-post harassed - Grin at your trolley on wheels. I'm going through a similar thing now borrowing my mum's 10 year old Nissan Micra - hilarious after our 4x4s in Dubai (everyone has one, please don't think I'm showing off or mega rich!) - feels like a roller skate! Great to hear that you're getting good care from your mw and hopefully your bp will settle down.

Will whizz over some sun on Saturday when I'm back in the sandpit. Even I was getting bored of the rain last night!

Sparklywine · 21/07/2011 13:56

Nowt wrong with a Nissan Micra Wombat, mine's a super-cute pootlemobile

Show-off! Grin
Yellow, that nursery is unbelievable, is that standard London prices then? MI5 not got some sort of child spy ring creche? I was quoted £850 a month full time last I checked, however am hoping to go back to work 3 days a week, and GrannySparkly and GrandadSparkly are excited about looking after the bean one day a week (though Dsis freaked the other day when Granny fed Dniece#2 some Blue Riband without checking for nuts Grin Funny to see my little sis get all bristly and mum-like, she's normally very laid-back. I'm going to be a bundle of angst by comparison)
Anyone come across Kri5ty on the pregnancy forums? She posts on everything, she is so excited about motherhood; anyway, she is also from Manchester and is organising a get-together on 13th August at the Trafford Centre. If any of you are nearby it would be lovely for you to join us. They've mostly met on the Due in December thread, which seems largely mucus and 'little friend' free so I had better watch myself (*MrsBB, you might want to give the meet a miss! Grin)

LittleWhiteWolf · 21/07/2011 14:09

Tentative hello...

I found out on Monday that I'm pregnantwas really too early to test as I didn't think I was due on until today, but I just had a feelingso very early days. I had an mc at 6 weeks in Jan and an mmc in April for which I had an ERPC. Since then my cycles gone a bit mad and I was sure DH and I had missed our chance this month, but apparently not. Am elated and terrified at the same time. Anyone fancy holding my hand for, oh, the next 9 months? Wink

I have a drs appt a week today and I'm going to ask him if there is a possibility I might get an early scan. I feel really cheeky asking it for some reason. I just want to try to put my mind at rest a little bit!

wombatinwaiting · 21/07/2011 19:08

Welcome littlewhitewolf and a quiet congrats. Your story sounds very similar to mine with 6/7 week mc then mmc with erpc a few months later. The first few weeks are really hard as lots of the ladies on here will testify - one day at a time is boring advice, but does seem to work and expect to be a massive symptom spotter too. The good news is that it can happen - I am now 22 weeks - eek! Hand-holding and lots of support available here - we are all at different stages - ttc, early pg (see marathon, cuttlefish and purple posts above), post 12 week and a wee bit more sane and old faces like nurse and mana who are coming close to term!

Meet up sounds fab sparkly - you'll have to give us the full low-down on everyone! Lovely that the sparklygrandparents are so excited to have Monty for a day a week - are DH's parents close too?

Waves to all - got to dash - mum has just cooked a pheasant casserole Shock !

mrsb33 · 21/07/2011 21:43

Congrtats yellow and star and the fab scan updates!
Worm, sparkly! You two defo have the wrong idea about me! I feel like a right old dirty birdie!!!! {Maybe I will give the trafford meetup a miss,

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 22/07/2011 07:07

Grin mrsb good to hear from you.

wombat with pheasant casserole I now relinquish my lady of the manor status to you! Hope the flight home is ok, and have a lovely day today meeting up with your pal.

sparkly meeting up ey? Envy but your our sparkly!!! you can't go off hob nobbing with the december lot! they won't get your jokes like what we do Grin I stalked had a look at the thread and it looks great that you are all living so close to each other, go for it, it will be fun. The nursery prices sure are ridiculous, I am with harassed on the childminder thing, the ones around here charge £3.50 per hour and as harassed says they are way more flexible than nurseries. My friends who are childminders have a whole week of activities planned for their little ones, joe jingles monday, soft play tuesday, library story time wed............ they are never at home really.

Hi harassed hope your blood pressure evens out soon, good that you arn't allowing it to worry you as that would only make it worse!

Great news on the scan star, has DH come around at all on the telling people yet thing?

Hi little wolf how did the docs go? you got that early scan?

yellow hope everything goes ok today for your results, rfemember us old birds are already a 1 in 400 on age alone, so if you get that then there is and 399 to 1 that all will be ok. Now that I know everyone else gets their results back faster I am getting quite pissed off at having to wait so long, if only my DF still worked in the hospital lab!

It will all be ok try to keep yourself busy today xx

Wormshuffler · 23/07/2011 08:17

Oh dear............I killed the thread :(

yellowtomato · 23/07/2011 10:50

Morning all!

Great news, I didn't get a phone call so that means I'm low risk - and breathe! And this is the third day I don't feel sick. Actually went out straight from work last night and had a glass of champagne and didn't get home until 10pm - party on!

sparkly yup that does seem to be the going rate round here, quite shocking. Unfortunately parents live too far away to help.

Welcome littlewolf it is indeed a tough time, I had 2 mmc and now I've made it to almost 13 weeks. My gp was v good about referring me for an early scan. I still stressed massively but it did help.

worm when do you get your results? How are you finding the Doppler, should I get one?

wombat you sound like you had a great trip, 22 weeks, wow!

Good to hear from you mrsb33 when do you get some more results? Has mr b33 done his test? I never could get dp to do that!

Off into town to meet a friend for lunch and tell her the news. Such a relief to be feeling normal again, or should I worry about not feeling sick now? Grin

wellieboots · 25/07/2011 04:41

Hope you all had lovely weekends and that's why its gone very quiet around here!

Yay for yellow on nuchal results. Hope everyone else is ok and wombat made it home safe.

Not much news here - cd25 but not holding out much hope for this month as due to new job and flu, swi was not frequent and ewcm was a bit
