So the last thread disappeared so here's the deal: I realised it's really annoying to drive yourself mad wondering if you're pg during the 2ww. Newbies welcome!

Hi babycarmen! [Ushers you in, park your feet, have a Brew ], sit on your hands!
I decided yesterday what I thought was ewcm probably wasn't. Temp has not peaked yet, may still be chance this month!
DH has his appt tomorrow. He is not happy bless him!

Bexamundo · 31/05/2011 18:36

pg clearly not sleeping is a positive sign you're up the duffer!! [Waves pom poms around wildly]

NinjaChipmunk · 31/05/2011 20:56

Evening all!
PG sorry to hear you are so tired, hope you get a better night tonight. I'll join in with the pom pom waving if you like, I'm all for a bit of positive reinforcement!
Bex how are you? Good luck for the appt tomorrow, have you and dp made up yet? At least the swi can commence tomorrow.
Hello to babycarmen, I'm due af around 7th or 8th so totally with you on the 2ww, although 13 months into ttc #2 I've now decided I have no idea whatsoever might be a symptom! Thinking back to being pg with ds, I didn't actually have any symptoms except gagging when brushing teeth and one morning of nausea. I'm seriously lurching between thinking I have symptoms and thinking I have no symptoms at all. I need some serious distraction for the next week!

PatientGriselda · 31/05/2011 20:57

Hi babycarmen! Did you know that an iPhone autocorrects your name to "baby semen"? That has GOT to be a sign!

Bex, brilliant news about not yet having ewcm. Is your DH likely to be able to perform appropriately after his appointment, or will he need a day or two to sulk and recover from the indignity? No offence meant to him, I'm just going on how I can imagine my DP being...

babycarmen · 31/05/2011 21:11

Wow, PG that has made my day! Haha :)
ninja i dont even remember the symptoms i had with Dd early on, but i do know my morning sickness didnt start until 12 weeks.. nightmare!

I am sooo tired, actually exhausted, putting it down to stress. 1 week and 1 day til af due.. not that im counting..

NinjaChipmunk · 31/05/2011 21:17

I shall wave my pom poms for you too! There must be something in this tiredness the two of you speak of.
I am craving some form of junk food but we don't seem to have any and I can't leave ds to run to the shops and dp is on a plane so won't be back for an age. Bugger, I really fancy some frazzles.

babycarmen · 31/05/2011 21:19

Im not shaking my pom poms yet. Too tired haha.
I just ate almost an entire bag or haribo and dont feel bad in the slightest.

Bexamundo · 01/06/2011 06:42

ninja I love frazzles but they tend to repeat on me so I've gone off them!
Seems I ovulated Sunday (according to.FF) so on the one hand Grr I wish we'd managed to do it Sunday night but on the other hand at least we did it Friday. Clearly I'm already pg!
Poor DH is not looking forward to today bless him!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 01/06/2011 08:04

What exactly does he have to do, Bex??

Bexamundo · 01/06/2011 08:30

Ahem. Provide a sample (not contaminated by me!) and hand it in. I think that's it!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 01/06/2011 08:55

Does uncontaminated include things like being spat out? Or does t just mean you can't, umm, syringe it out of yourself?

Does he have to go into the hospital to do it? Or can he do it at home and take it in?

NinjaChipmunk · 01/06/2011 09:40

If it's anything like the sample DP had to do then he was given a pot to fire a sample into and then told to take it straight to the hospital, and that it should be less than 2 hours old. I think the results took about a week to come back. Good luck to your dp, mine did say he found it a bit hard and that his sample was probably on the small side! Wish I could remember what the results came back as, we were just told it was normal and whenwe asked further we were actually in with the doc so didn't get a chance to write it down.
I feel rather period-y today which is worrying as I'm not due for another week and after mysteriosly coming on a week early last month I feel a bit nervous. Hopefully it's just me paying too much attention to what is going on and I bet if I wasn't ttc then I wouldn't notice it at all. At work today and tomorrow so BORING! What is everyone else up to?

PatientGriselda · 01/06/2011 11:59

Off work all week :) Currently lying in the sun in the garden, slicing courgettes to marinade for a nice summer salad this evening. Might see if I can persuade DP into sex as well. Currently he is WASTING this lovely day by sitting indoors glooming over his laptop. In fact, if we don't have sex soon, I will be too irritate by him to do it later :o

What about you?

NinjaChipmunk · 01/06/2011 12:22

PG that sounds lovely. Wish I was doing that. I am at work in an office with 2 rather unexciting people. I am trying to stay off the internet and its not working. Am looking at property porn whilst pretending to update a list of goods for a new shop opening. Ho hum, just think of the (small amount of) money!

Bexamundo · 01/06/2011 12:43

Yup working, updating cheekily on my smart phone so I don't get in trouble for using NHS computer! Am on lunch though.
Yes much like ninja sample had to be produced at home by hand! And dropped off within two hours. Can't believe It's taken SIX MONTHS! for something he did in 5 mins.3 months from initial referral to appt time then he had to rearrange due to work, another 3 months!!!!
I'm expecting a stupidly short cycle if I did ovulate on cd8, try not to panic ninja signs like that could Ho either way surely?
pg I am green with envy...I have a holiday booked for July but think I need a random few days off to potter at home before that!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 01/06/2011 15:07

Are you going anywhere nice in July? Definitely have couple of days to potter beforehand if you can. It makes a holiday so much nicer if you are relaxed when you start it.

Property porn is my favourite thing, ninja! Are you looking to move, or just enjoying yourself?

NinjaChipmunk · 01/06/2011 15:10

A bit of research as we would like to move in a year or so but generally a bit of 'what can we get if we really stretch ourselves' kind of thing. and upping the budget to ease myself Grin

PatientGriselda · 01/06/2011 15:43

I love that. You start off with your actual budget, and before you know it you are somehow looking at properties double that, and seriously considering how you could buy and live in them! Also, the bliss of assessing suitability for having babies in :)

Bexamundo · 01/06/2011 17:41

We went 20k over budget to get our house! Ironically thought it needed no work doing, we were so wrong!!
Off to Somerset with DH, Dsis her DH and Dnephew Smile. Taking my Dad's camper and awning. Should be lots of fun!

OP posts:
NinjaChipmunk · 01/06/2011 21:52

I know! I need at least 4 bedrooms I reckon. Got no chance of affording that round here, unless I come into some serious money (which would be nice). But nice properties round here are soooo nice, I want one!!!!

Ooh Bex when are you off? sounds like fun, I love camping (as long as I'm warm and dry). I need a holiday, must start planning a camping trip soon. Have you ever been to sandy balls? I might try and persuade dp to go there for a long weekend soon.

Bexamundo · 01/06/2011 22:00

Off in July 10th I think. Having the camper makes camping for civilised! Nice to have a shower and loo!
We bide our time with our house, bought from a couple splitting up.so got a bargain! Shame for them, great for us. Pushed the boat out to a 4 bed.
Where are you ninja?

OP posts:
NinjaChipmunk · 01/06/2011 22:19

surrey/ south west london borders. It's very nice but our 2 bed flat with garden and garage cost us £288K in 2007. Its crazy. We'd like a 3/4 bed do-er up-er if we could afford it but not sure where we'd have to go to afford it!

PatientGriselda · 01/06/2011 22:43

Dying of envy of Bex's 4 bed! I'm in a London 2 bed flat too.

NinjaChipmunk · 01/06/2011 22:54

underneath all the twizzly curtains this house would be nice....loving their kitchen. I might have to work more than 3 days a week to afford that though!

Bexamundo · 02/06/2011 06:23

Beautiful!! We paid 110k less than you for our 4 bed!! Move to Lincoln, houses are bargainous! We're in a pretty village about 5 miles from the city centre.
On a ttc note, temp.has dropped so FF not sure I've ovulated yet/at all. Will keep.poas opk wise and see if it's gonna happen later....
