fx olis

melies dh sure is around and under strict orders to perform as and when required!
(giggles at mental mage of dh as performing monkey :o).

have fun later Wink

lily06 · 19/05/2011 17:19

Afternoon ladies,

Keeping fingers crossed for you Olis, how long are you holding out before you test??

Laylas good to see you on the bfp list!

Stitch fx this is your month then.

Mel how are you doing?

I'm ok here. Very tired but otherwise NO symptoms at all yet. Bit the bullet yesterday though and phoned GP and both consultants, so now have a scan booked for 2 weeks today and an appt with the other consultant (endocrinology) for the week after. Eeeeeek. Convinced it is all going to go wrong before I get that far. Gave up on the asda cheapies and did another cb digi this afternoon and its gone up to 2-3 so trying to keep focussed on that.

Loup23 · 20/05/2011 09:20

Good news lily, hope everything goes well with the scan and appt - hope these two weeks fly by for you!

Good luck olis really hope this is it for you. Good luck for this month melies fx. Hope AF passes soon stitch.

Had a huge row with DH last night, probably all caused by AF showing up again and the continual stress of waiting for the peak then waiting for AF..... I've had brown bleeding for two days not enough for a tampon but when wiping (sorry tmi) and now nothing again. Am going to see if I can see a gynae in the next few days to just have some basic tests done and then I suppose try and crack on again this month......

olismum23 · 20/05/2011 10:24

Morning all,

No af today but i dont "feel" overly pregnant either we will see boobs are big and firm mind you? only 7/8dpo here so i will wait till next week i just hope it sticks because i ovulated late last time and obviously lost baby bean so even nervous if i am Confused things are never simple!

OP posts:
Bumpwanted · 20/05/2011 10:28

Morning ladies

Lily I so know what you mean with the whole keep thinking its going to go wrong. I have another scan in 12 days (will be just over 8 weeks then) and I can't wait for the day to come...but on the other hand I am dreading it.

Loup you poor love you must be so frustrated. I would def go to the docs just to get checked out. Maybe they can give you something to kick start your AF properly so you know you are having a proper cycle. Is there anyway of finding out if you are releasing an egg when you ovulate?

Olis def let us know when you are testing!

Hi Melies and Stitch

Not a lot going on here. Same old same old with the pains. Not too bad during the day and worse at night (I wake up at least once a night with pain) but its not as bad as it was a week ago. I can def cope with this level of pain a bit more. Just hoping its my insides stretching and the scan will show everything is ok....

I don't have any symptoms except sore boobs, being tired all the time and ratty as hell. I'd love some morning sickness just so I felt like things are going in the right direction!

xx

lily06 · 20/05/2011 11:51

Olis I still haven't any symptoms, so will keep fx for you.

Bump the pains must be hard to cope with, especially if they are causing you to wake up every night. Can you take any pain relief that helps? I know what you mean about wanting morning sickness, I'd give anything to feel sick right now!

Loup I would definately ask for some basic tests. Your gp can request a full spectrum of hormone related tests without you needing a referral to a consultant. That's what mine did and discovered high prolactin and low progesterone. I was then referred to two consultants and they sorted out the right medication. Just be forceful with them and tell them that you want things looking into.

I'm having lots of weird twinges today, but just have no idea what is normal. Some feel similar to what I had with the ep and ep/mc, but I've not had a normal pg before to compare. I just want to fast forward 2 weeks and make sure its not ectopic again.

Loup23 · 20/05/2011 11:57

Thanks girls - I have an appointment this afternoon with a consultant so will go armed with a list of questions as long as my arm!

Fx olis sending you lots of virtual good luck. Hoping your beans continue to progress well lily and bump, glad to hear the pain is better of sorts bump. Nearly the weekend!

ciwi · 20/05/2011 12:24

Hi everyone, cab i join you? especially liked the tears part in the thread - i have shed plenty of those! Am picking myself up (again) though and I am determined to be positive!
I had a mmc at 10 weeks (bean 6-7) in March. I had an af about 4.5 weeks later but fairly light and then 2 weeks after that had a proper af (just on the end of it now) do you reckon my cycles might go back to normal now? Its so frustrating. I lost my 1st baby (a beautiful little boy) at 24 weeks due to pre eclampsia last year and I am so desperate to be a mummy again x

CuttlefishDramas · 20/05/2011 12:36

Hope nobody minds me jumping on the bus? I've miscarried at 5+3, and I think my bleeding is starting to ebb away now. Not sure if I'm ready to try again yet though because all the conflicting advice about waiting/not waiting!

Sorry to hear about your experiences Ciwi.

hi ladies

loup I have a few days of spotting before af, and a few months where it all stops for about a day before full flow starts. Good luck with the consultant, it'll be interesting to hear what they say.

Glad the pain has settled a bit bump, keep strong till your scan.

Stretching pains are normal lily, I know it's not easy not to panic at every little thing though! Well done on getting a scan sorted.

Is the pain settling stitch?

Sounds promising olis, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hello and welcome to ciwi and cuttle. I had a few really short cycles post mmc in feb, things are just about back to normal now but it took 3 months.

Not much to report, had fun last night Wink, working tonight. Still keeping fairly chilled, I'm actually enjoying not having to think about the sticks. Dd has been challenging for the last few days, I think because of our busy weekend but she actually slept in till 7:45 this morning which was lovely and we've had a nice morning together. I'm starting to realise just how much I'll miss these mornings together in september, especially as I was meant to have a newborn to focus on then :(

stitchinline · 20/05/2011 14:00

welcome ciwi and cuttle, sorry you are both here but everyone is very lovely and helpful

my cycles have normalised pretty well (MC1 was in feb and a CP last month) but they are longer than before which is frustrating

melies pain is much better and managing with panadol - which is good as that's pretty much all i can take. Lovely that you can spend time with your dd, hopefully by september you'll have something else to look forward to :)

olismum23 · 20/05/2011 17:45

Well i tested i know im only 7dpo but got some of those internet sensitive ones not sure how sensitive they are but i thought hey ho it was BFN of course I will wait till at least monday it think lol Grin

Welcome ciwi and cuttle sorry for you loss but this is a great thread for comfort and support i have been here a few months now since i MC in early Feb.

melies really glad the relaxed approach is working i wish i were as good Blush

Sorry af came loup if mine come this month i am also going to see the GP for a hormone panel

stitch glad the pain is subsiding

bump and lilly strechy pains are normal i have had them when i had oliver very bad in fact the thing i noticed that was different for the MC is that i kind of knew it was not viable, different for everyone im sure but i found it overwhelming especially when i no longer was pregnant

OP posts:
pigletmania · 20/05/2011 18:31

So sorry cwi Sad, big ((((((hugs)))))), I am a bit more optimistic about this pregnancy as my symptoms are much stronger, I am getting morning sickness which I did'nt with my 2 MC. I have been feeling too sick to knicker check so have left it, this is how I felt when I was pg with dd so fx. Fx for all of you two, I had a MC at around the end of January, it was a lighter one than the first as I was only 6+4 weeks gone so more like a period, my cycles went back to normal quite quickly which is good Smile

olismum23 · 21/05/2011 10:56

Hope everyone is ok today and having a wonderful weekend!

quick update 8dpo still BFN Im not sure what i am going to do if its not this month like melies said 27 months is a long time :( I might just cut my losses and accept i will only have one DC it serves me right for saying as long as i can remember "i want more than one" (i am an only child, it was awful)

OP posts:
meliesmummy · 21/05/2011 15:18

Your symptoms sound promising piglet.

olis sorry you're feeling down...is your gp likely to be sympathetic and give you some support? Remind me, have you had any investigations?

Dh has been telling me that he's read some new research online that says that sunshine is good for little swimmers...shame it's raining here! Meant to be a heatwave mid week though....as I'll be day 17 by then it might be a bit late by then! Looking forward to some Wine later...

olismum23 · 21/05/2011 17:42

I have had blood tests melies to rule out pcos my thyroid is borderline but no pcos had my womb checked a few times during and after MC/pregnancy and as i said before i have a "textbook" womb and ovaries so much so some students are studying it.... I think my LP/Progesterone may be the issue.

not sunny here either but a bit late for me lol have AF type cramps today so its prob on route......

OP posts:
laylasmummy09 · 21/05/2011 21:45

sorry you are feeling so down olis i hope you get some answers soon,
welcome newbies but very sorry you for your losses,
sounds good for you piglet its the only time you would hope to be sick but it is reassuring,
bump i keep thinking the same because my sister just had an ectopic pg so if i get a twinge i panic and wonder if its ectopic but trying to keep positive ti at least 8 wks when i will get a scan i hope you can keep positive too,
bump i know what you mean about wanting some morning sickness its proberbly too early for me but it would be nice to feel pregnant,
hello everyone else
im feeling quite good today got a 3+ on cbdigi wich i didnt think would happen til at least tomorrow just need to keep positive for 3 more weeks til i get a scan then to drive myself mad til 12 weeks x

olismum23 · 22/05/2011 09:10

There has been a big temp drop today definitely think that AF is on route although just to mess with my head all cramps have gone and boobs hurt but still BFN :(

laylas glad things are going well :)

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend Brew

OP posts:
laylasmummy09 · 22/05/2011 15:20

sorry olis i hope if af turns up its soon and lets you move on to trying again,
im still pretty much symptomless apart from pains wich im hoping are strechy pains never had them before so i hope thats what they are, just had a fry up and a nap thanx to my oh lovely, hands out BrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrew and choc chip cookies baked by me and dd x

lily06 · 22/05/2011 17:38

Olis really hope you're wrong about it being AF, but if it is I hope she arrives quickly for you. For what its worth, I'm not convinced anymore about the cheapies, poas with an asda cheapie again yesterday, now 25DPO and still only faintish line. Will NOT be using those again.

Layla sorry to hear about your sister, is she doing ok now? Pleased to hear you have got to 3+ on the digi, planning on doing my last one on Thurs when I should be 6 weeks and really hoping it will have gone up to 3+ by then.

Mel glad you're feeling more relaxed. I gave up temping for the same reason, it made it too much of a chore.

Cuttlefish welcome and sorry for your loss. You're in good company here, the ladies are lovely and we'll help you all we can.

Ciwi sorry for your losses, its difficult to say re your cycles as everyone seems to have a different experience. I think the main thing is to record everything then you can see if a pattern emerges again and you'll know where abouts in your cycle you are.

Piglet glad to hear you're feeling happier, having morning sickness is a great symptom!

All my stretchy twinges and pains have disappeared now - which I find even more alarming that having the pains in the first place. Got a little indigestion which could be a pg symptom? Or possibly the large brunch I had this morning. Just got to wait it out until my scan, which is exactly 11 days away sometime the week after next.

laylas yay to 3+! stretchy pains are normal.

lily hope your next 11 days fly by!

olis I hope you're wrong about af, if not I'd get to the gp for day 2 bloods to get your progesterone checked.

Just looked at the list and noticed I'm day 14 today...eek. Dtd earlier, guess it's probably out of my hands now then!

googietheegg · 22/05/2011 20:46

Hello all, I'm just dipping my toe into this friendly-looking thread. I had my MMC confirmed on Monday and I'm steadily getting over it and DH and I are starting to think about trying again. It was our first pregnancy so my main current worries are if we'll ever have a baby and when to start trying...any top tips wise people?!

Congrats all on your BFPs- Let's hope there are loads more on their way.
