manda (trying to put a positive spin on it!) but if you have a 10 day LP then at least you can get your cycles over with quickly IYSWIM - that is what mine are like.

However from my point of view - bugger and shite and all things crappiness - AF announced her surprise arrival at 7am this morning, the old bitch Angry welcome welcome into my home (and dont trip on your arse on the way out!)

aaaand relax. ah well at least it means i can get hammered on Saturday night at my friends party, and can get shitfaced on champagne when me and DH have a rare night away together without DS at the end of the month (pre wedding anniversary celebration).

sorry for my rant ladies - off to find some blue cheese and port (yes at 9.15am!) Smile

MandaHugNKiss · 04/07/2011 12:41

Sorry af got you, summer

I think this is cd1 - it's a light flow with a few small clots in it now... and I'm officially more pissed because I've realised that made my lp 9 days this month. Which is officially lpd territory. I know I've got to be patient and it's probably my body is still sorting itself out but for crying out loud.

Another confession, I took an ic this morning and there's a hint of something - both DS1 and DP could see it too so I wasn't imaging it - but even so, this can't be ib, it's too much.

Time will reveal exactly what's going on, I suppose. But as I say, pretty sure it's cd1.

Somebody else had better get a bfp to cheer me up!

MandaHugNKiss · 04/07/2011 12:42

On a positive note, I didn't pick up the half price pate I saw yesterday... I feel pate and toast might be featuring on a plate near me soon!

whatsoever · 04/07/2011 12:43

Grrrrrr to all thsoe with messed up cycles and AFs where it was hoped no AFs would arrive.

I am currently on day 10 of my AF. That's right, 10 days. I had to cancel a bikini wax appointment this weekend as it was still going on. DH goes away with work again on Thursday for 2 nights, it better be gone before then or we are doomed on the SWI malarkey!

Summerbird73 · 04/07/2011 13:01

manda what are IC's and IB's? Confused sorry you got the crappy AF today too, at least we can hold hands this month as we should be testing (yes testing - i am being positive) together in a month! but yes i guess that is your body just getting back to normal, i wouldnt count LPs for the first month or two as being normal.

oh whatso that is crap - just crap Angry for you!

just went to the loo and virtually sneered at the tampax wrapper Blush

i need pate and blue cheese!

MarathonMama · 04/07/2011 13:25

Oh Manda what a confusing state of affairs. Do you think it could still be hcg left over from the mc? I have no idea how it all works. I got spotting as you described during my last cycle a week before AF. This cycle it was much much lighter so I'm hoping it means things are settling down.

Summer I think ic means "internet cheapie" as in a pg test (correct me if I'm wrong Manda) and ib is implantation bleeding.

Pass some pate this way Summer, I LOVE pate on toast with a glass of Wine

Grrrr whatso, that would drive me mad, hope it ends soon and the SWI is back on track Wink

It's so frustrating for us all at the moment but at least we're in it together Smile

No news here, no AF yet but hoping it will come soon. We're away on hol w/c 15th July so it could be a good week for SWI if AF arrives early or on time. Got three (s)dcs in tow so may not have the energy though!

Summerbird73 · 04/07/2011 16:04

thanks marathon it makes sense now - and makes my last post a bit garbled! why dont you get a clearblue digital manda? they are usually pretty on the money

crappy rubbish time for us all - and i could have done without a colleague telling me all about another colleagues baby announcement from the weekend Envy i wanted to tell her to STFU but smiled sweetly and said 'that is wonderful' [grrrrr]

BlueCrane · 04/07/2011 18:28

Hello all! Back from a wonderful weekend in Southern Ireland - the weather was great and the scenery just stunning...though am a little sun-burnt as forgot about the suntan lotion when we went on a 4hr boat trip Blush Really really good time with DH to re-charge our batteries, enjoy some SWI and take it easy after all the crap of the last couple of months!

So sorry to hear about AF coming to visit for some of you Sad but good symptom spotting going on I see Wink here's hoping for some good news and bfps soon Grin and I'm all for the blue wee proposition!!

I'm now 3.5 weeks from ERPC and got an almost bfn before we went away on Friday...the line was there but soooo faint so I decided to take it as a bfn so we could have some fun at the weekend Wink Will test again tomorrow and should be full bfn then...and then I guess it'll be a 3-5 week wait for AF?! urgh...though think we may SWI, I know it's a little risky before first AF but at least I know I've got to bfn status before we go for it again Hmm

Right...off to a BBQ so best go and get everything ready...and do the ironing ready for work again tomorrow!

eve34 · 04/07/2011 19:22

Evening all

Finallly back to work today - and don't know where to start! working all this week to hopefully catch up on stuff!

Sorry to hear AF have arrived - at least your bodies are getting back to normal and you know all is functioning as it should. Not what you want to hear I know.

Blue glad you had a great weekend and BFN so frustrating this waiting. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ.

I tested and got BFN till ten mins and there is a faint line. Although only had ERPC on wed last week - the bulk of the pg passed on 10th June so hoping that another few days and we will have a def negative.

DP is so keen to TTC bless him he almost has me convinced :-0

Hope everyone is ok.

MarathonMama · 05/07/2011 07:13

Hello girls, Brew all round...

Well, I was feeling really quite woozy last night and couldn't sleep so got up this morning and POAS I had left over from last time, it was a very very very faint BFP! It was first response so super sensitive. Does anyone know if it could be hCG left over after last time still? It is so faint, blink and you'd miss it and I didn't use FR to test after the erpc, I used a cheapie from Boots so less sensitive, I guess I'll just have to wait till the weekend and test with a Boots one again. Rambling nonsense, sorry it's early, am I making any sense?

Poppyjen · 05/07/2011 07:22

Hi ladies well I guess my symptoms must have been coincidental or imaginary this cycle....12 DPO and a massive temp drop this morning and a BFN. Expecting AF any moment Sad ...

Marathon that sounds interesting - FX for you!

Summerbird73 · 05/07/2011 09:05

marathon remind me when you had your MC? sorry but am all excited for you if this is a 'real' BFP!! I really need to hear some good news Smile

poppy that happened to me at the weekend - although i dont do my temps i was convinced of sore boobies all last week and imagining 'uterus stretching' pains - then got the BFN and AF soon after. Sad innit?

blue glad you had a good weekend - sounds like you and DH had lots of - erhem - 'fun' Wink

Missgiraffe1 · 05/07/2011 09:06

Hi!! Have had busy weekend at wedding and getting house ready for guests arriving tonight. I am off to this tomorrow!
www.worldwidefestival.com/
Excited! Grin

Still no AF! Grrrr. I thought I felt the wee pinch on my right side that I have always considerd to be Ov pain a few days ago (wish I could remember what day Angry. Have been having SWI (a lot Wink) and this morning had some pinky/orangey CM. Really want to think it's related to implantation, but realistically think it's too early for that if I did Ov when I thought I might have. POAS this morning, bnf.

ho hum. Just got to wait it out I suppose, but will def be going to docs if no bfp or AF by time I get back from France. Currently 7 weeks 1 day since ERPC. Will need to go easy on the wine (will prob be POAS every day too!).

Marathon could you be our next BFP???? Very exciting Grin. How many weeks ago was your ERPC? I had HcG left over at 4 weeks 2 days after ERPC, but am I right in thinking your past that??

Eve hope you get caught up ok.

Sorry about evil witch's arrival for a few of you. Next month is THE month. I think this is good timing. Would mean due dates of aroung beg. March (I think). Weather tends to be good in April, so I am now imagining us all pushing our prams around the park in the spring, rike the radiant yummy mummys we are/will be Smile Smile

And, sorry not to name check, have missed a lot but last day at work means I don't have much time to read back. I will have missed loads by time I get back. There may be a new thread by then! Don't forget me Wink

Summerbird73 · 05/07/2011 09:07

i am feeling pretty blue today, me and DH were both so fed up last night with my AF, it is now 4 months post MC and 2 months of TTC so i know i am not by any means 'elderly' yet! just feeling fed up Sad

but having a nice skinny latte from Pret Brew Smile

Summerbird73 · 05/07/2011 09:09

missgiraffe not that i have worked it out to the day but my AF came yesterday which gives me a due date of 9 April 2012 Blush Wink so we will have easter babies!!!!

Missgiraffe1 · 05/07/2011 10:46

I'm with you summerbird! Lovely easter babies we can dress up as tiny easter chicks. My body is being a little shite and not giving me anything to go on so, whilst no dates to work from here, I'm happy with the general Easter timing (not that I'm getting way ahead of myself or anything Smile)

And sorry the arrival of AF is getting to you. That sinking feeling when it comes is just awful, isn't it? It won't be long before you're back to making fun SWI, Ov spotting and 2ww mentalling again.

I really should be working but I'm too excited about my holiday to concentrate!

Summerbird73 · 05/07/2011 11:37

thanks missgiraffe i do love this thread at times like this,

i am meeting my friend for lunch today and dreading it as she always gives me this look Hmm if i refuse a coffee or a glass of wine just in case i am about to jump up and down and announce a BFP, i swear she is waiting on her heels for it, and then the [concerned head tilted sigh] when i say 'alas no'. she then regales the time old tale of her friend who had a MC and then a BFP straight away (this is all to make me feel better obviously but it aint helping!)

anyway this will make you laugh (possibly). DS (age 2) came running into our room at 5.38am this morning with a big smile on his face and a book to read, so we sleepily put him in between the two of us so we could have a nap whilst he read his book. He then proceeded to jump up and down on his bum and shouted poo! poo! Thank god the nappy contained the evidence but was rather squished! Grin

as you were!

Missgiraffe1 · 05/07/2011 11:56

haha, they are funny aren't they? I love them at that age too. My nephew (14 months) seems to like pooping in my bath. He has done it way more times here than in his own house. I swear he sees it as a game.

I know what you mean. I was at a wedding on Saturday decided to drive as had a lot to do on Sunday. Of course, when my FIL, step-MIL, SILs etc asked how we ere getting home and I said car, all eyebrows were raised immediately. Gets a bit wearing, doesn't it?!

Never mind, next month we'll all have to be employing our best cover-up excuses as we enter the 12-week gestational insanity period after getting out clear, strong BFPs!! Wink Wink

ShimmeryPixie · 05/07/2011 13:13

Hello All.

Glad you had a good holiday Blue. Sorry to those who got AFs they didn't want. I am (for the first time since starting TTC) please to say that AF arrived for me on Friday. This was a surprise given that I didn't get my BFN until 23 June! Am currently hoping this means everything is back in working order and praying that I still follow the same pattern - though this may be too much to hope for.

I am also please to announce that the 30 day shred does indeed work. I've lost 1.5kg and still have a week to go. I'd probably have lost more if I paid more attention to my diet...

MarathonMama · 05/07/2011 14:10

Shimmery I've just bought the 30 day shred so will get onto it asap! Well done on the weight loss and glad the witch arriving is a good thing.

Summer, MissG my ERPC was on the 13th of May so 8 weeks ago on Friday. I've had one AF since, 28 days after the ERPC, I did a cheapie HPT two weeks after the ERPC and it was BFN. Will have to wait and see what happens next. Feeling totally normal today, no symptoms whatsoever Hmm

Summer your DS sounds hilarious. My DD runs around the room shouting "no poo, no poo" when she's got a full nappy. It kind of gives the game away!

MandaHugNKiss · 05/07/2011 16:09

marathon Omg, from your last post I don't see how the bfp you got could be anything other than a new one! Woman, test again! And, I had no symptoms whatsoever last time (after always knowing before I could even test with my other three)... until the nausea kicked in at 7 weeks, that is. So don't think if you don't have symptoms that it cant be true. I am so excited for you!

And, boy, do I ever need that good news. AF is beyond horrendous again. Much less pain than last month (when it crippled me for two days, this time it's enouh to take painkillers but not totally debilitating) but so so heavy. Like, coming through a super plus tampon in about an hour. I'm just really concerned at a crappy 9 day lp - will be hoping for an improvement this month - ideally back to normal given it's 3 months post erpc now.

I may start the shred again after my failed attempt too soon after the erpc. Absolutely nothing has changed in my diet/general activity since the erpc and yet I've put on another 1.5kg for some reason. I'm still very much in my 'healthy' bmi range but it just feels horrible; my clothes don't fit and I refuse to buy a 'fat' wardrobe!

MandaHugNKiss · 05/07/2011 16:11

Pushed send too soon!

Also meant to say quite a few of us seem to have af within a few days of each other - a nice coincidence Smile

missG Have a fab time!

MandaHugNKiss · 05/07/2011 16:14

ALSO! marathon In a much as you cite 'no symptoms' I give you exhibit A:

'I was feeling really quite woozy last night and couldn't sleep'

Grin
Missgiraffe1 · 05/07/2011 16:20

marathon, I think I'm going to have to log on to check what's going on with you whilst in France! Not sure I can wait a week to find out! FX its a real BFP and it will be congrats all round Smile

Thanks Manda . Guess what arrived 30 mins ago - just in time for my holiday??? Evil EVIL witch!!! Angry Angry Angry. On the plus side, at least it means my body is recovering and getting back to normal (I hope), and I can get completely sloshed on wine and champagne for a full 7 days without worrying!

Have a good week everyone, hope to hear of more BFPs and symptom spotting on my return! x (might need that 30shred shimmery when I get back!)

InsomniaQueen · 05/07/2011 21:46

Feels like I've been away ages......loads seems to have been happening!!!

Ladies sorry to all of you suffering from the dreaded AF.....damn her and her terrible ways to hell!!!! Angry

sending a message of cheers to everyone feeling Sad - I'm adding myself to that list as I currently have the sore throat from hell but am avoiding painkillers (just in case.....don't think there is much point but hey ho)

blue glad you had a good weekend - sometimes you just need some time away from it all!!!

eve hope the bfn comes soon so you can start getting everything back on track.

poppy damn - I thought you were gonna be my lucky one this month.....well next month will soon come around and I shall be keeping my fingers extra crossed for you and all other AF sufferers next time round!!

summer sorry your feeling sad......glad your working on future due dates though - need to stay positive through these things!!

Well to update you on things here - sickness seemed to disappear after two days and had pretty much given up on things. Currently watching a documentary on babies - making me feel dreadfully sad and depressed but still feel so glad for the family......4 babies - crazy times!! Sickness has returned now but am convinced it's part of the sore throat.....refusing to let myself believe it is anything else. Additionally have been feeling REALLY tired the past few days but it might be my insomnia getting to me again.

Not sure what to do with myself at the moment!!!!
