Newly updiffed and freaking out about spotting, cramping, the wait until your first scan and each little twinge? Settle in for lots of hand holding and supprt until you're ready to move to grads.

Pinkey pink Oh hon, you must be scared but if the consultant was not concerned then take that as a good sign and as s/he said, should it turn to red, call him/her immediately. Big (((hugs))) mate xxx

Just popping in to give (((hugs))) to pink - don't panic, lovely, stay strong. Pink doesn't necessarily mean anything and backache is very common. I know you must be panicking but please try to keep calm.

Have you tried ringing MWs to get a referral and set your mind at rest? Sometimes they're easier to deal with x

Hi Pink I can imagine you are really worried, hope you manage to get some reassurance before panic sets in. Could it just be a flutuation in hormones? You did say that your prog level dropped and then you started taking a higher dose - could that cause it?. I really hope this doesnt mean anything sinister at all. much love xxx

Thanks everyone, really appreciate your kind words. I've had nothing since (fingers crossed) so am trying to stay hopeful that nothing sinister is going on. The people at the clinic think I'm mad now though-went over to ask for an emergency scan on Friday and also to get more drugs because I'd run out of progesterone, but for some reason asked for 2 week's worth.... Don't think I'd made the link in my brain that if it has gone wrong I won't need all the £££'s worth of drugs I've just bought.... Maybe my subconscious is more optimistic than I thought.

Digi I am so, so sorry to read your news. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Thinking of you and your dh and wishing you lots of strength xx

Pink ((hugs)) I second what TTT says. I went to the EPU at UCH (pretty sure it's a walk-in in the mornings) and they were absolutely lovely. I saw Dr Hoo twice. Fingers crossed it's just some light spotting and will pass v soon xx

Pink sorry you've had a panic, glad it all looks like it had settled down.

I went to the nurse yesterday, had a swab and a good old chat. She had an mmc before her 3 kids so was appalled at my MW. She said if I need to talk, just book in with her to have blood pressure done and she'll do her best to help with my mentalling.

I still haven't booked a scan for next week, I'm too scared. It seems like it's coming around too quickly now!

Pink glad panic is over.

No news from me, just the usual constant nausea and occasional vomiting which really freaks DS out if he catches me. And I could sleep all day long if I had the time. I can't believe how slowly the days are going, it isn't even time for my booking in appointment yet and I feel like I've already done a trimester.

Hooray for Lent though, I have an excuse for not drinking when my next lot of friends come to stay. The lot we just got rid of guessed immediately and I couldn't lie.

Daisy sorry your head hurts! Headaches are horrible.

velvet at least you have made it to a mw. I still haven't been to the doctors yet so minimal chance of an NHS early scan - must go tomorrow.

AandR I didn't make it to one, I called the one I had last year to ask for advice but she didnt want to talk to me til I am 8 weeks! My scan next week will be a private one. I am defo not booking in til after then.

Velvet glad to hear you have a nice nurse. I know what you mean about scan, sometimes it feels like tempting fate, but must be done so you're not! But, for the MC board-cruising I must administer this large Cornish sardine to your left nostril!

All seems ok here, but I suddenly feel a bit big and showing, plus from the top of my ribs-down feels like it's being squashed. I think/hope this is normal.I spent an hour googling pg women pics to compare

Glad you are well - and showing - wow! Have you seen these moving pics of a pregnant ladies insides? Its really spooky how all the internal organs get squished up and still manage to keep operating! I'm pretty sure what you are feeling is normal.

Irene I am crap at lying too, especially about this. When people ask me jokingly I smirk like a right muppet and give the game away.

Daisy hope your head recovers soon; it's difficult when you can't hit it with the full monty of usual painkillers isn't it. I had a headache for 3 days a couple of weeks back, I read somewhere they are really common in early pregnancy.

Orange I've got a fairly short body so everything is already squished to the point where I am wheezing like an old giffer and if I eat a large meal it feels like I might explode. Which is quite exciting :)

Pink sorry you had a scare and fx for tomorrow's scan

I was on a training course yesterday so didn't post at all - hope you didn't miss me too much. Also i finally got my pancake fix this morning as DS requested them for breakfast....!

Daisy my top tip with headaches is to drink an amost obscene amount of water... My theory is that if flushes out the nastyness that is causing the headache... Don't forget you're drinking for two now too :)

Hope no-one minds but I think it's a bit sad to just delete those not sharing the journey any longer from the list. Thought it would be nice to remember those less fortunate than us who have not made it with their beans, so suggest we just have a little note at the bottom of the list that we keep updated... Open for being shot down in flames though (or a change to other wording)...
