Lovely news Ali - so happy for you... Do you feel confident enough to go on the stats yet? I could do with some company in the 8 weeks pg range... :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/03/2011 15:53

Lovely friend of mine called just me as she'd had a 12 week scan so was starting to tell everyone she's pg.

She didn't want me to hear by email or facebook and so called - so nice of her. She MC'd just before me in the summer - but at 6 weeks - then had a hideous natural MC ending in ERPC in October! She'll be due about 3 weeks before me - assuming all goes to plan with my bean... FX :-)

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/03/2011 16:12

Should have added that it took every atom of willpower to not tell her that I was pg too...

Feeling more optimistic again today - thanks for the support when I wibbled earlier in the week. Womb feels heavy again and the animation thing that someone posted up was very helpful in reminding me just how tiny womb and bean are at the moment... I suppose I'm just thinking back to when I was in the latter stages of being pg with DS - bump was massive then :)

OrangeGloss · 17/03/2011 16:23

Wombat I agree about the scans, especially with Mummya. I didn't have the same experience but if I had had an early scan last pg the problem would have been picked up and dealt with much sooner, instead if waiting to miscarry at 12/13 weeks, so I am all for them. Pg hormones make you think crazy things, you poor thing, don't worry you'll be ok (((hugs))) I've gone through some phases myself as you all can testify to
Emoo a spa might not be much use, we were thinking about going but knowing I couldn't use the sauna, hot tub or steam room (temp-related I think). I'd considered dangling my feet in the hot tub and sitting by the pool reading. Good to hear FMU ok today
Knitter 18 hours to go now? :) glad to hear you in a positive place
Hi Ali glad your scan went well, it's magical isn't it? You've made me want fish and chips tho :)

Sorry I've been quiet, been lurking tho. I just heard the heartbeat at MW's so feeling a bit more zen, and looking for a yoga class for when this awful cold has gone

Happy Paddys Day Shamrock

MummyAbroad · 17/03/2011 16:29

Ali lovely news! So pleased for you xxx

Hey knitter if my uterus is the size of a tennis ball then yours must be pretty big by now, no? Are you signed up to one of these week by week pregnancy guides by the way? I used www.babycentre.co.uk for DS (top tip - sign up your DH so they get weekly emails telling them how you are feeling and what you are going through!) but I also like looking at this site because it has a 3d rotatable image of bean (lots of annoying american video ads too though) Well done for keeping schtum. Smile

Emoo · 17/03/2011 17:27

Orange - hoorahhh for the heartbeat, and I hope your cold is feeling better soon.

Ali - congrats on your scan. Definitely time to add yourself to the list, I agree with knitter

Wombat - glad sanity has returned.

Owl - you have me sussed Wink

Thanks for the spa comments. I think I'll wait until after my scan, then I can book it as a consolation if things have gone wrong, or happily phone them to find out what they have that's suitable if I am indeed going to be pregnant. A good book and a lounger by the pool whilst tucked up in a fluffy dressing gown sounds quite good!

I can report that I have learned this afternoon that reincarnated tooty-frooties are not nearly as nice as the first time round Shock. In fact, it was all so acidic that I tried to have a glass of plain water afterwards and it tasted SWEET - yeughggghghghhh!

katherine2008 · 17/03/2011 20:18

Everyone has gone very quiet - hope you are all having a nice dinner, feet up, watching DIY SOS! Mentalling on temporary hold Wink

MummyAbroad · 17/03/2011 20:20

Hi Kat I think everyone is off looking at 3D rotatable images of their beans!Grin

Emoo eyeuugh! poor you xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/03/2011 20:30

MummyA amazing site - love it... So hope my bean looks like that tomorrow ... hope... hope... hope...

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/03/2011 20:31

Should have added that i'll post here after the scan tomorrow to let you know what happened; but then I'm off in the Lake District for the weekend so will go all quiet for 48 hrs!

Daisybell1 · 17/03/2011 20:46

Ooh Knitter good luck for your scan. And where are you going in the Lakes? That's where I live!

hairylights · 17/03/2011 20:46

just checking up on y'all :)

Af has arrived and I eagerly await the 29th when we go to clinic for referral for mc testing and the 30th when we go to Lazagrotty for a
week - hurrah!!!

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/03/2011 20:51

Daisy I'm staying in Grasmere YHA Friday and Saturday night. I'm taking about 20 people from my orienteering club to Skelghyll near Ambleside and Great Tower Scout Camp on the Sat and then they're doing an event at Eel Tarn on the Sunday... Anywhere near you?

Hairy lovely to hear from you - good to know that 'normal service' is resuming in the AF department. Testing sounds great as does early sun - have a sangria or two for us :)

hairylights · 17/03/2011 21:41

knitter I will have a few sangrias for all of you! And a toast to wish you easy peasy pregnancies!

OrangeGloss · 18/03/2011 07:07

Hairy thats good to hear I'm glad things have settled down. A good end to the month then, tests then a hol to relax. Will you ttc in the meantime or do you have to wait for the tests? I hope you have a wonderful time on hols in the knowledge that the drs are working hard on your results :) xxxxx

Knitter good luck with your scan, and anyone else I've missed

Daisybell1 · 18/03/2011 08:44

Ooh Knitter that sounds lovely. I work in Kendal and have just moved to Kirkby Stephen, so am just outside the main lakes now. The forecast is looking lovely for the weekend too, so hope you have a fab time.

And good luck for your scan today, and good luck to other scanners too.

Wombat sorry you had a few freak out moments. I wonder if its something to do with the 13/14 week period? I've just had my meltdown too and I wonder if its something hormone related?

Still feel I'm skiving, but feel soooo much better, its obviously doing me good Grin

Collie2 · 18/03/2011 09:06

Hello!! I got a faint line yesterday Smile and again today Smile . Feeling rather wobbly about it yet though, as AF due Sunday and have had various cramps yesterday, so not ready to come in yet..... But would be nice if someone could fluff up a bean bag for me and keep their fingers crossed?? Grin xx

wombatinwaiting · 18/03/2011 09:41

I wonder if I might be able to join you lovely ladies? I have to admit to having lurked for a while in the hope I would be fortunate enough to get a bfp and lo and behold one turns up this morning! It's been great inspiration reading your stories and I've gained particular value from hotnspicy's zen-ness.

No DCs yet and despite 2 MCs (one natural around 7 weeks June last year and one MMC around 11 weeks with ERPC in Nov) I am feeling remarkably positive this time around (tinged with nervousness of course).

wombatinwaiting · 18/03/2011 09:42

P.S. I know wombat33 is here already, so very happy to be referred to as WIW - would hate to tread on any toes at such an early stage in posting Smile

cep · 18/03/2011 09:47

morning all.

wombatinwaiting congratulations and welcome. (were you on the jue in june thread?)

collie hello hon, plenty of beanbags all fluffed and ready.

knitter good luck for your scan today.

well i've had a bit more blood this morning, not loads but more red in colour. but again not since, i don't understand why i'd only get it after fmu. is driving me crazy am starting to dread scan on monday.

mattsmama · 18/03/2011 10:22

morning girls

Welcome WIW and Collie congrats on those BFP's! I will keep that beanbag well and truly plumped for you Smile It is so nervewracking isn't it? Got mine last week and constantly "knicker checking"!!! By the way those AF style cramps are quite normal - I was a little worried myself yesterday morning as I had them quite strongly but they went after about an hour - phew! They do keep coming and going though - just to keep me on my toes.

cep try not to worry too much (far easier said than done I know!) FX for that scan on Monday.

Lots of positive mental attitiude and zen like calmness to you all x

mamapower · 18/03/2011 10:28

knitter good luck with your scan Smile

Collie and WIW congrat's on your BFPs and welcome Grin Grin

cep I think it's just some residue blood my love, if it were anything untoward I am sure you would be getting it more frequently than just after fmu. (((hugs)))

mummy great link, even dh got into it... think the alien looking 11 weeker freaked him out a bit!!

Hairy great to hear from you and glad you have got the tests lined up, good luck with them and keep us posted as your beanbag is still reserved in the hope you will be joining us again really soon Smile xx

Waves to dachs wombat pink emoo owl nix orange daisy delilah katherine Ali velvet onions teacake tigger love irene hills hafertee Hope I didn't miss anyone x

owlbooty · 18/03/2011 10:28

Oooh :)

WombatTheSecond and Collie - hoorah! I will plump up some fresh beanbags for you both and get the cakes ready :)

cep I wonder if the blood is leaking in a non-serious way, v.v.slowly overnight and thus pooling somewhere & falling out first thing in the morning? Sorry to speculate on your inner workings but tis just a thought, I am aware others have had similar. I found when I was getting the spotting early on that it was mainly first thing in the morning.

Hairy lovely to see you, missus, hope you have a top holiday & a good appointment at the clinic beforehand. Enjoy the sangria!!

Knits good luck with the scan!

I'm also off for the weekend; sadly tis not a lovely romantic break, tis a mandatory visit to the inlaws who live in the arse-end of beyond. Am looking forward to 5 hour drive with at least 6 wee-stops en route. Yay. Yay. Etc. Grin

owlbooty · 18/03/2011 10:31

Ps. Am 20 weeks on Sunday and Owlet is becoming quite noticable due to kicking/tap-dancing on my bladder. However, I am still checking knickers. I think it's become a habit.

Pps. Anyone who hasn't started on the pelvic floor exercises, I'd heartily recommend them Grin

mattsmama · 18/03/2011 10:34

ps got my date for my first scan - 30th March. God only knows how I will last till then and how I will be on that day - I have had such nightmare experiences in the past with my previous MC's. I think I will be shaking like a leaf when it comes to it. Please cross your fingers for me ladies Smile
