MummyAbroad I love that link. Good luck with your scan!

Brian has been bothering me this morning! I've been frantically cleaning the house in preparations of some guests coming to stay. We're opening the house as a B&B so I'm doing a dummy run with friends up from London. DS was following me round 'helping' Smile. It got to 12.00 and I thought, must get DS some lunch, then immediately forgot to do it. Cue panic half an hour later making emergency sarnies (he's a very slow eater). Then I think, better not forget to take him to nursery at 1.00. 3 Mins to 1.00 and I remember. Cue me picking him up and running down the street to the school. Thank goodness it's close by. Forgot his book bag too. What's the matter with me?

I've also got a cold, so muggy, stuffy head and look as gormless as I feel. That accompanied by the crap clothes that I have no choice but wear due to in-between size and I'll look a peach for my friends.

cep · 16/03/2011 13:58

mummya do love that link, but it does make it look like the baby goes out her bum. Grin good luck for the scan later.

MummyAbroad · 16/03/2011 14:01

cep if feels like the baby goes out of your bum too! Grin

cep · 16/03/2011 14:08

it is a very strange feeling. I remember last time telling dh that i didn't want to know if anything else came out at the same time. but then of course asked afterwards and didn't believe him when he told me. Grin

KnitterNotTwitter · 16/03/2011 14:33

OMG... just had lovely lunchat wagamama's. Friend then had coffee afterwards and it was as much as I could do not to vomit then and there in the middle of the restaurant. I'm taking this as a good sign :)

cep I asked my midwife if i'd pooed as having DS and she swore blind that I didn't... don't believe her though Grin

cep · 16/03/2011 14:46

knitter Grin it's something you never think about until your pg isn't it. DH keeps going on about the fact i threw up on their bed. i was with my first inhale of the gas and air, i did it too deep and quick, it was only once though and he makes it sound like i didn't stop. i've never eaten at wagamama's is it good?

KnitterNotTwitter · 16/03/2011 15:38

cep Gas and Air was the best thing ever... Consumed so much of it - two cansiters full on the way to maternity ward and it's a 7 minute journey.... couldn't get enough...

Wagamama is good - excellent for lunch as the food comes quickly and not too expensive for London prices. About £10 for food and a drink for lunch (although mine was £20 as I had two amazing freshly squeezed juices which were rather over priced)... It's asian bowl food - so soup and dumplings for me today - and I managed to not splash soup all over my outfit which was a result.

Still amazed by my extreme reaction to the smell of the espresso - eugh...

KnitterNotTwitter · 16/03/2011 15:41

cep and re: vomit I hurled my guts as i went through transition - into the little paper bowls they have in hospital - as I was in the maternity ward waiting room to be seen by the obstatrician (sp?). Then the prat sent me home as I was only 2cm dilated... I was back there 1hr later in an ambulance 8cm dilated much to his amazement... Hah - I told him I was progressing nicely.

I loved giving birth so much - my birth story still makes me laugh to this day (one of my shoes ended up in the fridge in A&E for example)... so want to do it again this autumn....[wibble emoticon]

Chloe55 · 16/03/2011 16:03

Grin am lurking and you have to elaborate Twitter??!!

Wombat33 · 16/03/2011 16:23

Yep - Knitter, I agree with Chloe. You can't say something like that and then not give us all the gory details!

owlbooty · 16/03/2011 16:49

I third that - c'mon, Knitter spill the beans Grin Also - two canisters?? Bloody hell woman you must have been absolutely out of your tree by the time you got to the hospital :)

Yesterday I had a pork pie then a cheese ploughman's baguette. Then 3 malteser bunnies. And half a bar of green and black's butterscotch choc. And a massive fruit salad. That was just lunch and I'd already had an accidental cake for elevensies.

I have only put on a couple of kilos so far and I still have no idea how, I ought to be like a beached whale the amount I am eating. The only thing that stops me eating is that I run out of room and then have to sleep sitting up. NOT recommended.

cep · 16/03/2011 16:57

knitter i was ok after that first inhale. they couldn't pry it out of my hands. Grin Agree with others you're going to have to tell us about that shoe.

wow wombat and owl!!! owl how do you have an accidental cake??? did you fall on it with your mouth open? Grin

owlbooty · 16/03/2011 17:05

Yeah, me and Nix have pretty much accidentally fallen on every iced bun in the UK between us I think. Grin

cep · 16/03/2011 17:11

they are tricky statistics do actully show that most eating accidents are caused by slippage onto iced buns. terrible shame.

Wombat33 · 16/03/2011 17:15

Mmmmmmmmmm iced buns! I'm a bit Shock Blush as I've been eating so moderately so far. It seems four days in to trimester 2 and I've turned into a piggy! Maybe the bub is going through a growth spurt...??

delilahbelle · 16/03/2011 17:16

Dammit all to hell.

The bleeding is getting heavier and crampy, exactly like AF in fact :(

So, a week of testing, crying etc will follow, exactly like my past two chemical pregnancies.

Of course, I am not going to completely lose hope until I test negative, but it's not looking good right now.

:(

katherine2008 · 16/03/2011 17:19

i have just polished of a horrible Tesco chicken wrap - my second lunch of the day. I could eat another three. Starving. Where are those iced buns? Wink.

katherine2008 · 16/03/2011 17:20

oh delilah I missed your post. sending you hugs and love and look after yourself.

Hils74 · 16/03/2011 17:24

so sorry delilah fx

cep · 16/03/2011 17:26

oh delilah i'm so sorry. fx it stops.

delilahbelle · 16/03/2011 17:26

Yeah, who would think getting pregnant would be so hard? I wish at times I had been less responsible when younger and had had a slip up.

Ah well. Feeling slightly numb, but I know from past experience the real tears and misery start when my hormone levels crash.

cep · 16/03/2011 17:32

if it's your 3rd speak to the dr, they should hopefully be able to start tests wouldn't they? will keep fx it doesn't happen though.

mattsmama · 16/03/2011 18:02

delilah fingers well and truly crossed for you. Hang in there x

delilahbelle · 16/03/2011 18:21

Hey cep I have already had the tests because I was going through fertility treatment. They all came back normal, which is good, but it doesn't leave me with anywhere to turn now.

Thanks for the positive thoughts everyone, it means a lot.x

nickstermum · 16/03/2011 18:39

Delilah sorry you are bleeding honey, i really hope it buggers off my lovely xx

Although i am still being sick occasionally would you believe?! at nearly blardy 20 weeks! Cannot brush my teeth if i feel hungry! My bean is going to look like a tomato!

knitter i consumed lots of G&A and also heroin!! Before my epidural... never having heroin again though..... G&A i was raving round the room pretending i was at the hacienda...Shock Grin giggling my tits off! Nutjob. I did not enjoy birthing but this time i am hoping i may.... going to invest in a hypnobirthing cd just to make me relax!

Had a very important meet today. Went very well. DH surprised me by buying me some new isabella oliver mat togs which are so yummy... painted my nails, intense conditioned my hair, put on my new togs and new make up and off i went...! Felt like a bloated million dollars! What a difference than normal tramp-like appearance Grin

velvet good luck hon, for friday. Agree with MP re japan. Sooo much devastation, tourists will be the last thing on their minds. I wouldnt :( such a god awful state of affairs!

Hope everyone else is good.... great to see lots of progressing, little wriggling beans and positivity x

mummyA dont worry about the sickness. My nausea and sickness this time is fecking worse. Sick in pg 1 twice. Sick this time maybe 100 times....!! Every pg is different. Try to relax about hyperemis - wine gums/ice buns/fizzy orange/croissants/white stodgy bread helped me... but may not work for everyone!
