velvet hugs to you - your scan is Friday though itsn't it so i guess you'll find out then... only two days to go ... I'm fx that it'll all be fine...

Mattsmum i had the heavy womb thing when first pg - was one of my favourite symptoms... Twinges are womb and ligaments stretching...

cep fx for you too a little spotting isn't a big worry from what it sounds like from what the other ladies have experienced....

delilah brown goo is unsettling but I think the concensus is that it's just your body spring cleaning and not a bad sign... Just keep an eye on it i guess... I've had a go at adding you to the stats - can you check if it's right...

daisy good to hear youve been signed off. I've been off part time sick for months now and it's great - highly recommended :) Make sure you take advantage of the time off by napping, having long (not too hot) baths and generally chilling out...

Obviously ignore the bit where i've left in the tuesday's stats title... Brian's fault :)

katherine well done for spotting mummya's scan... I think she said that due to the time difference between here and Costa Rica her scan isn't until 9pm tonight or something like that.... hopefully we'll have good news at bed time :)

Knitter - thank you - it's very reassuring to know someone else has the same feelings and it's NORMAL. Really does go to show we are our own worst enemies with all this worrying!

delilahbelle please please try not to worry - no pain is a good thing. I know it is far easier said than done - but I have heard so many stories of women who have bled and actually quite heavily and everything has been fine. I'll keep everything crossed for you x

i've just had my app with gp and he said as it's so early he can't really do anything yet, but i have booked in with the midwife for 31/3.

he did say i will need a dating scan at 10 weeks as no AF but no early scan unless i start bleeding etc...

not sure DP will go for a private scan :(

mattsmama just to warn you thought my 'heavy womb' feeling has now gone away - hence fretting earlier in the week.... But it's probably just that i'm used to it rather than anything sinister [hopeful emoticon]

hi all I mentioned the possibility of a uti to dr over the phone, mentioned that i only seem to get this blood after fmu. he's sending off some urine and giving me some antibiotics (just incase as it were) should take 3 days for results to come back. (although last time they did a diptest in office and showed infection so don't know why have to send off this time.) They can then change antibiotics if needed.

deliah I had spotting for pretty much all of week 4 that completely freaked me out as it started the day AF was due, but in the end it tailed off - it may well be the bean settling in. x

Daisy yes please to soup... although in RL I'm going to Wagamama with a friend so that'll be nice too :)

delila definitely sounds like the right time for implantation bleed or just a AF residual bleed... Will the doctor test your blood HCG levels to check they're rising if they own't let you scan?

Busy busy day at work so not much time for thinking!

Delilah, don't worry too much about the spotting. It is still just spotting and it is happening at the stage you would usually have had a period no? V. common for this to happen, and as Knitter says, implantation bleeds can happen. Just try not to freak and hope it goes away, then do a clear blue in a week if you're still worried.

Can I just say, I'm fat! Is bump growing, is it water or am I just putting on weight? Bit early for having to change into different jeans isn't it? I've had to dig out my post c-section jeans, not in maternity yet. Gratifying that the cs jeans are still baggy, but normal clothes are a bit tight atm.

TEACAKE Fab news!! So pleased for you honey!!

Deliliah I agree with the others that chances are this is you implantation and you will have no more bleeding after this. I had a big gush at about that time and it scared the pants off me but have had nothing since. Fingers crossed it stops soon. xx

If you look closely at the first trimester bit, the ladies intestines get pushed up and out first and she has a paunch before it becomes a real bump made of baby and womb. Made me feel a bit less like a plain old fatty anyway

My scan is in 4 hours - feeling too sick to even get nervous about it, cant wait to get in there and ask if I can have some anti nausea meds - at least being ill all day takes my mind off the mentalling!

Mummya that interactive is amazing - now I can see why I have an upper tummy bulge when I was certain the baby is not that high yet!! Makes me feel much better!
