Oh and I don't have ms either and I don't want it (although lack of is a freak out reason for me)

mamapower · 15/03/2011 19:19

awww Dachs only having some banter with you my lovely (even though I am actually very big and sick) ...

mummya it's shite isn't it! Someone recommended those travel sick wrist bands today... I may as well give it a go! I've had it since about week 4/5 Shock 11 weeks today though so hoping sick free times are round the corner!!

velvet I'm so glad you shared that... hee hee! Made me giggle!

MummyAbroad · 15/03/2011 19:30

Hi mamap 'tis very shit indeed! I used those acu bands last time, I think they did work a bit. SIL has mine now - i want them back! I have also tried:

olives - apparently the salt dries up your saliva and stops nausea but you have to catch it before it starts (bit sick of eating the things now)

fizzy drinks - burps feel nice.

ginger - rubbish, no effect whatsoever for me.

hope its nearly over for you. xx

PinkFondantFancy · 15/03/2011 19:39

Phew hello ladies! I will try and catch up but you can't half natter!!!!

dachs my bloody midwife spent my entire booking in appointment obsessed about whether I am being beaten up and have female circumcision and didn't give me a bounty pack sob! Will definitely be having words about that!!

cep did you manage to organise a scan? I agree that your doctor is ridiculous!

onions your little one must have looked very sweet in his Ben10 coat :) Envy of your coffee with friends lifestyle!!! Oh and your savoury cupcake was lush!

tunnocks I think you'll be ok with waiting for booking in appointment. Only problem is that it might mean that your 12 week scan is at more like 13 or 14 weeks as round my way, the midwife books your scan at the booking in appointment. Might not work that way at yours though so maybe not a problem.

tigger fabulous news on the scan!! I was ridiculously excited to see my one so I can't imagine how amazing it must be to see two little ones bouncing around in there!

Welcome delilah hope the spotting stays away although as you might have noticed, I don't think any of us have got away scot-free on that front this time around... Did the clinic oblige on the blood test front? I found seeing the HCG rising really comforting in those early few weeks before you can have a scan. Fast forward button would be gratefully received!!!

mamap I have got a sneaking suspicion that at your scan you're going to be bumped back to the same date as me and tigger. We have to have the same EDD, we are life twins Grin

mummya hope your scan today goes well.

Thanks all for the help on the breathlessness front - it's been a bit better today. The progesterone thing makes a lot of sense as I am also shoving 400mg of the stuff up my arse twice a day, so if the placenta has suddenly had a bit of a spurt of it too, it's not surprising it's affecting me. I texted the midwife in desperation today (silly lady didn't block her mobile number when she called to arrange my booking in appointment mwah hahahaha) as couldn't get any sense out of the community midwife centre (they're the ones with the unhelpful "not normal" comment) and she texted back to say she's made me an appointment to see the ante natal consultant next week Confused. Fingers crossed the scan on Friday goes well, as I think the clinic will stop the progesterone then, and then I'll have a few days to see whether I feel better without it.

More later, DH has made me steak and chips!!!! Grin

delilahbelle · 15/03/2011 20:03

Hi PinkFondantFancy, the spotting has stopped, ish. I am on Cyclogest pessaries too and the gunk coming out is brown tinged white. Consultant said no to HCG tests :(

cep I hope the days until you scan go quickly. Fingers crossed you don't get any more bleeding.

AFM, finally got in from work after a long day. Still having stabby pains on and off, but only in one spot, and they are nothing like my usual AF pains. I'm still hoping they vanish overnight.

Could someone please add me to the stats list too?

PinkFondantFancy · 15/03/2011 20:07

mamap are you getting a tum too? I was convinced mine's bloating but now I'm thinking maybe it's not. It's v. exciting either way!!

dachs that midwife sounds hopeless! Lucky she?s moving on I reckon. Fab news on the scan as well, v. v. exciting!

mummya and mamap I find that lime cordial and grapes and tinned pears seem to work a treat when I?m feeling grot. In fact that reminds me, better put more grapes by my bed for the 3am needs!

delilah did the consultant say why? Hopefully it?s a good sign that he?s confident enough your bean is sticky that no bloods are needed??

delilahbelle · 15/03/2011 20:15

Pink basically because it wouldn't change the outcome. They only do them if it's a suspected ectopic, which it isn't at this point. So I am just having to wait. Oh, and no sex - not that DH has been getting much anyway recently Grin

oh tunnocks i hope not. fx for you.

PinkFondantFancy · 15/03/2011 20:58

((( tunnocks ))) I really hope you're wrong :(

delilah why no sex (if you don't mind me asking! Ignore me if you do!!)

Velvetcu · 15/03/2011 21:02

tunnocks I hope you are wrong, fx for you and your bean.

I just had some red too when I went to the loo. Just a couple of drips but enough to make me miserable :(

mattsmama · 15/03/2011 21:04

Does anyone have a heavy sort of feeling in their tums? It's a bit hard to describe - but I keep getting the odd twinge and occasional period type pains but when I'm walking it's like I'm really conscious of this "feeling/sensation" slightly higher up than my pubic bone. It's not their all the time but it is there a lot. I can't remember this when preggo with my DS only when I was a LOT further on. I am only about 4/5 weeks (LMP 10 Feb). It's starting to worry me a bit!

Ninunina · 15/03/2011 21:10

Oh dear tunnocks I hope it will be ok! ((hugs))

cep sorry that the epu wouldn't see you. Maybe you could do a digi test in the mean time- hopefully it will confirm that your hcg levels are at the right level.

tiggersreturn · 15/03/2011 21:11

Thanks for all the good wishes.

It was incredibly exciting to see 2 little people turning around in there and jumping when she pressed the scanning thing harder.

Hils - I went to my first scan convinced they would tell me I was only pg in my mind and even last night I was asking dh if he thought I looked thinner and maybe they'd disappeared. I have felt intensely tired but I have a ds already which is more wearing than the last time although I'm working less hours.

delilahbelle · 15/03/2011 21:18

tunnocks I'm thinking of you, really hope things are not as bleak as they seem. FX for tomorrow.

Pink the nurse at the clinic told me that changing hormone levels may make everything a bit more delicate inside, and that DTD could bring on bleeding. Her actual words were to tell me I might like to avoid it, just to save unnecessary stress. it's good enough for me.

mattsmama my stabbing / tugging sensation is just above my pubic bone. I really hope it's my embryo burying in deeper and getting comfortable. Strange pains are all part of pregnancy, oh lucky us.

velvet un mnet ((hugs)) I hope the red you are getting is nothing bad.

I am now in bed, early night I think.

mattsmama · 15/03/2011 21:28

delilahbelle thanks for that. I am probably worrying too much I know! It just feels soooo heavy sometimes?!!

tunnocks thinking of you. I hope everything is okay for you. You too velvet. Thinking of you both x

Hils74 · 15/03/2011 21:47

tunnocks and velvet fx things are ok

OrangeGloss · 15/03/2011 22:08

((( Tunnocks ))) I hope tomorrow only reassures you all is ok, my fx for you

Velvet sorry you're having more red, has it stopped?

I'm falling asleep, so will have a proper catchup tomorrow

MummyAbroad · 15/03/2011 22:10

tunnocks I really hope you are wrong. I have everything crossed for you and will be watching for news tomorrow xxx

Velvet its awful having your emotions tied to knicker checking! Hope the spotting stops and you can distract yourself with something else.

mattsmama Was your DS your first pregnancy? If so that might be why you didnt feel that sensation until later on? I think your uterus gets a lot more baggy and stretches easier after you have had a baby. I got the feeling that you describe pretty early on too. I also get a sharp twinge everytime I stand up quickly, as if I have moved too fast and the bean has bumped against the sides! Obviously its far too early for that to be the real cause, wonder what it is?

mamapower · 15/03/2011 22:17

teacake ((((hugs)))) be thinking of you in the morning, good luck x

pink my tummy is huge... I started wearing maternity clothes last week and I gotta tell you they are soooo comfy! It would be nice if they put my date back Grin

mattsmama sounds like the early days of my pregnancy... I was told by EPAU nurse that it was the ligaments stretching and all very normal Smile

Night all, sleep well Smile

mattsmama · 15/03/2011 22:23

mummy yes DS was first pregnancy (not counting MMC before him at 12 weeks) so that makes a lot of sense what you say. mamapower thanks - every little twinge and I'm worrying myself silly. God help me when I go for that first scan - don't know what I'm gonna be like! Thanks though ladies I do feel a bit better after reading your posts Smile Night night ladies

cep · 16/03/2011 07:05

morning

tunnocks how are oyu this morning fx for scan.

velvet hope you're ok, have you had anymore?

well i had watery red on wipe this morning, was weird had wee wiped no blood wiped again blood. so wiped again ofcourse and lighter watery red. needed a wee a bit later wiped no blood. Why would i only get blood in fmu??? At the moment still nothing on st, for those of us who have had a lot of blood or spotting was it always on wipes or was there some on st's as well?

delilahbelle · 16/03/2011 08:17

cep I'm just getting a bit of brown when wiping. Happened again this am :(

tunnocks am thinking of you today.

velvet how are you?

I felt nauseous for the first time today, but I'm not sure whether it's ms or just nerves/stress. I've waiting for some clearblue preg tests ordered online, hopefully if I can see the weeks go up I will feel better.

Daisybell1 · 16/03/2011 09:33

Hello all

How are you?

I realise I haven't been here for ages, but have been lurking watching the natter.

Tunnocks I'm really thinking of you this morning- FX for you this morning.

How is everyone else doing? Dachs can't believe your midwife, and Pink's too! What is it with these people????

Pink I also get puffed out easily at the moment - last weekend when we were staying in a B&B I stood up from the breakfast table and went into climbing the stairs to the 2nd floor - I couldn't make it! I'd just put it down to too much grub over the last few weeks Grin

I'm feeling a real fraud this morning, for some reason everything got too much over the weekend (moving in with OH into his dead mother's house, to a town where I don't know anyone except his family, studying for my final exam in 6 weeks, parents stressing me out over dealing with my house, and then lambing kicking off early when we're not ready) and I sobbed down the phone to my midwife. Result is I'm now signed off work for two weeks. I feel really, really guilty but am convincing myself that my blood pressure must have been high which isn't good for LO.

I realise its minimal to what you're all going through, so I feel even more of a fraud Sad. On the upside, I now have two weeks free to plump your beanbags, polish the floor and keep you all supplied with food and goodies.

Yet again, me me me.

Sorry Sad
