That's for the welcome. I have just called the clinic where I had treatment to beg for a couple of beta HCG blood tests. If I am going to lose this preg I want to know as soon as I can.

Anyone else wish for a fast forward button?

and because it seems they need an hour for the next scan actually

Delilah fx for your HCG levels staying nice and high (and getting higher!) - definitely know what you mean about the fast forward button... I'd like to be in a nice long sleep for the next 6 or so months :)

I'm ok thanks, just feely VERY pukey. Its the all-day-all night-queasy-but-non-vomiting variety. I have been keeping up with everyones news but finding it really hard to concentrate on anything so not joining in much. First scan is tomorrow - I am not really worried about this one as I feel that if something is going to go wrong it will be later rather than sooner. Because of the time change I'll wont be updating until about 9pm UK time, so dont wait up for me.

Pink that seems a bit naughty of the midwives to tell you that its "not normal". I have never heard of the breathless/progesterone connection, and it sounds like they havent either. I have heard about (and experienced!) 2nd and 3rd trimester breathlessness which is related to the baby taking up your lung space. Perhaps the midwives were thinking about this kind when they said its not normal "so early"? Hope they havent got your too worried. Does your clinic answer emails? Perhaps they can put your mind at rest?

Tunnocks don't worry about the (ahem) dampness. You get lots more cm when you're pregnant. Not helpful if you're paranoid. So really it is a good sign.

Pink I'm breathless too.

Nin my symptoms are stronger this time. The sickness kicked in earlier than with DS as far as I recall. I only got nausea from about 8 weeks with him. Also getting fatter earlier although am heavier this time to start with sadly.

Wave to everyone I've missed. This thread is so hard to keep track of. I'm off to rest and watch some horse racing while DS is at school.

Pink i have had first trimester breathlessness. Climbing stairs was a real challenge! I had to have an inhaler last time i was pg... its definately not not-normal.

Here Pink show this to your midwife

"Shortness of breath is not an uncommon symptom during pregnancy ? although it is more often than not associated with later stages of pregnancy rather than early pregnancy ? although it is not limited to this stage only..."

well basically epu won't scan me until i'm 7 weeks, which is next week. i have to do a pg test on friday to make sure it's still showing a strong +ve if it is i can have a scan on Monday. Surely though unless i have a really heavy bleed (and even then for a little while after) would come up +ve anyway wouldn't it? so i'm in limbo. dr found it nice to repeat the stats of how many pgs end in mc, as if i didn't already know.

cep Doctor is an arse . next week will be here in a jiffy so try to stay strong.

Ah, cep, I know exactly how you feel. I have an early scan booked for the 4th April when I should be 6+6. One moment I am sure I will get there, the next I am convinced I am not.

I've had my hair coloured - yey!! No more random white bits!

Cep that's horrible. I had my first scan at exactly 6 weeks in the fertility unit so no reason why you have to wait till 7 or do any extra tests. If you have been seen for anything fertility related I'd advise going through them. They get very excited by pregnancy unlike antenatal....

i don't hink i have a walk in one in our area. apparently it's the epu who won't do it before 7 weeks. I don't think dh will go for a private one if had one booked in epu for monday he'll just want me to wait.

cep your doctor sounds like a right charmer. Bypass him and go for the Epu. Where are you in the country?
