Great news owl

I think those of you with a nervous disposition better look away! I have told lots of peeps I'm pg, all in my inner circle and all who supported me through last year... I figured if it goes wrong again I'll need them again! Oh and those on FaceBook, beware... if my scan is good next Thursday I intend to scream it from the the roof tops! I am so chilled about this... and the main reason is because I refuse to let my past impact on my future, I'm gonna damn well enjoy every second I carry this baby, come what may.

velvet Depends where you were planning on going but I am assuming Tokyo was on the list and with transportation links down, and rationing of electricity I can't see it'll be great, I also think you'll be faced with the people of a devastated country and tourists will not be top of their lists!!!

Anyway, there is no way I can catch up on todays banter as mainly you've all talked too much today but mostly cause I'm exhausted! Me and dh are practically functioning on minimal sleep and the business to do list and house move to do list is just not getting shorter!!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 14/03/2011 20:44

aandr I'm really sorry. There's nothing we can say to make it better, but I hope you have lots of RL support and you know where we are if you want ot vent.

velvet I think it's prob advisable to avoid Jap right now - there are warnings of aftershocks and there's no clear story on the nuclear situation. Hope things go OK with bil! :)

knitter I think you'd have got a second line even if you'd used the ov stick - hcg activates the compound in ov sticks as well. :) So, if you're desperate and need a quick poas fix and all you've got is ov, go for it! Wink

thanks for all the support on my due date wibbles.

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow and I'm a teensy bit nervous about it. I didn't get this far last time and it feels like it should make it all feel real, but it still doesn't. :)

Can someone tell me what a Bounty pack is? I have instructions to ask for one at the gp before my appointment and fill the forms in.

Ninunina · 14/03/2011 20:50

A&R I'm so sorry about your loss. I hope you're getting the support you need. What did gp say?

Velvet I think it would be way too risky to go to Japan. The aftershocks can be huge after such a big disaster.

Talking about pregnancy symptoms, I'm feeling mine a lot more than last time. I didn't have such a strong sense of smell, such sore boobs, and a lot more tired too. I'm also feeling sick. I'm hoping this is a good sign.

I really hope this bean sticks! Anyone else getting. Stronger symptoms this time?

Velvetcu · 14/03/2011 20:54

Dachs it's a pack from Bounty.com and gives you loads of free stuff coupons etc. Good luck with the booking in, mine is next Wednesday! It's all too scary, I'm dreading friday.

I'm going to look into how much money we can get back from Japan. It's really annoying but you are probably right. DH and I said that we'll wait to see what happens on Friday - if its just the 2 of us to worry about we will still go Confused

Ninunina · 14/03/2011 20:59

dachs the bounty pack is a bag which is given to new mums which is filled with free samples of products like nappies, washing powder, baby soap etc. I think you get 1 when baby is born, and 1 when baby is about 6 months old. Products will change depending on which companies want to feature their brand. Check out their website. It has some good information on it. I would insert the link but am on my phone.

getawiggleon · 14/03/2011 22:08

Thanks for your lovely messages everyone. Unfortunately HCG was down to 12 today so this one hasn't stuck. I thoroughly enjoyed feeling pg for every minute of the two days that it lasted though Sad.

Keep that beanbag pouffed up for me, I'm still hoping to be joining you all v soon (and dragging all my fellow common-room ttcers with me!)

Waves to everyone and admires all the lovely bumps xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/03/2011 22:21

dachs as others have said your Bounty pack is a bag of free stuff/leaflets/vouchers. There are 5 pack in total!

My only comment would be to be careful what you sign up for - lots of them are opportunities to sign up for baby clubs. With the MMC I signed up for them all to get the freebies and it was then difficult to stop them all contacting me after the MMC... I had someone phone me up offering photography services 8 months later... V. awkward for all concerned.

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/03/2011 23:15

Sorry dachs if that last message seemed a bit negative - didn't mean to.... What I was trying to say was don't sign up for everything straight away - I was too quick off the mark and should have waited a few weeks....

MummyAbroad · 15/03/2011 00:43

Massive cuddle for Wiggle promise to dust the bean bag every day for you, you will be back before you know it xxxx

OrangeGloss · 15/03/2011 06:10

Dachs good luck for today, I didn't get a Bounty Pack last time but MW gave me one this time at booking app
Ninunina my symptoms have been stronger this time, which I'm hoping is a good thing

Wiggle your bean bag will stay ready and I hope it won't be empty for long xxxxx

Mamap I really admire your positivity, I could learn a lot from you and Onions Envy :)

I don't think this cold is helping, but at least yesterday went quicky as I was asleep for most of it!

cep · 15/03/2011 07:03

morning all,

i've had bit more blood this morning, not bright red but a bit redder than pink. so am caving and calling dr this morning to ask for a scan. This is too much like last time for comfort.

PinkFondantFancy · 15/03/2011 07:51

CEP sorry it's so worrying-hope they sort you with a scan soon.

TTT good luck for your scan today!

onions and mamap fabulous attitude-I am working on being more like you!!

Sorry just short message, got to shut my eyes and concentrate on not throwing up on train....

Ps. Is anyone else really breathless? I had it before that I'd get out of breath walking but yesterday even sitting at my desk I found it really hard to breathe....

mattsmama · 15/03/2011 08:02

a&r so very very sorry to read your news. Getting that news is really the most awful feeling - stay strong.

cep fx for you. Hope all goes well.

mamapower · 15/03/2011 09:18

wiggle I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you will be back here with us really soon. Big hugs xxx

pink it's quite common, I had it a few weeks ago but it's passed now. Is caused by an increase in progesterone causing an increase in breathing rate!

cep will be keeping everything crossed for you Smile

Mummy how you doing chicadee?

Welcome newbies hope you are not fretting too much Smile

hotnspicyonions · 15/03/2011 09:19

Morning all! Another lovely sunny day and dare I even say it, slightly warmer. Sent DS off to school in his lightweight Ben 10 coat this morning. Much admiration from fellow school buddies!

Cep FX for today. Here's hoping you're one of the many that bleeds for no reason at all.

AandR hope you're getting lots of love and support in RL.

TTT good luck for your scan today, am v v Envy, but mine will happen soon enough!

And for any wobblers out there I have left a cupcake stand with a mixture of carrot, chocolate, lime & coconut & vanilla cupcakes. And for those of us who like the more savoury option Welsh Rarebit Muffins, fresh from the oven. All sprinkled with some Zen Dust!!!

Have a great day ladies, I'm off to meet my bestest for a naughty Costa Massimo Latte Shock

hotnspicyonions · 15/03/2011 09:24

Pink yes I've been feeling quite breathless recently. Even the walk to school is doing me in and it's only 5 minutes if that!

Orange glad you're catching up on your sleep. Sometimes you just have to do it. I missed my afternoon nap yesterday and was knackered all evening. Went to bed with the most painful indegestion imagineable, couldn't straighten my body. DP had to wind me like a child. It helped greatly and luckily came up the top end not the bottom!

owlbooty · 15/03/2011 09:36

Good luck today TTT :)

cep hope you are okay & it turns out to be nothing - it seems to be so common to bleed during these first weeks but it's still so scary

Pink I am wheezing like an old bugger and have been for weeks. It only gets worse, sorry. Grin

velvet buggeration re. Japan :(

tunnocks dampness an issue here too.... Blush

Thanks girls-I called the community midwife centre and they said faintness at 12 weeks=normal, shortness of breath so early on=not normal. That is clearly rubbish though if so many of you have been having it too. Do any of you have it when you're not exerting yourself though? I can understand getting out of breath quicker when I'm walking but does anyone else have it when theyre just sitting down?

Morning all.

A&R and Wiggle I'm thinking of you both and sending hugs xxx

Tunnocks I have turned into a snail Blush not pleasent or good for the freak out factor, but seems normal?!

Cep hope things have calmed down for you this morning.

TTT good luck with the scan today. Same to any other scanners today!

Velvet sorry about the Jappan trip. Can you plan an alternative trip somewhere else lovely?

Mamap - loving the optimism, telling people and the enthusiam to enjoy your pg! I'm going to try and manufacture some of that!

Dachs good luck with the booking in appointment. Hopefully it will make it all feel more real once you're there. I didn't make it as far as mine llast time either and it did up the excitement levels to be talking about delivering and so on. The MW was so resolutely talking in terms of there being a baby at the end of the proocess (or in your case, two) that it her certainty was [momentarily!] contagious!

Ninunina I have much stronger symptoms this time than with my MC, but even so they came and went a bit especially in the early weekks - enough to send me into a blind panic quite a few times as the ladies on here will attest!

Wombat33 · 15/03/2011 10:33

Oh and PS: just passing on some gentle encouragment from those on the grads list in the pregnancy section for those reaching the top of the list in here to pluck up the courage to graduate! Smile
I think I'm going to make the leap after my scan next Weds (assuming everything's okay), although of course I'll still keep an eye on the goings on in here!! Grin

tonythetyger · 15/03/2011 11:12

Scan was good. They're both still there, measuring nicely and moving around in a very cute way. I'm very relieved. I hope everyone else's day goes as well.

delilahbelle · 15/03/2011 11:16

Hi all

I got my BFP today, am 4 weeks exactly. This pregnancy is after fertility treatment and two chem pregs last year, both before 5 weeks. So I am terrified rather than happy.

Am currently stressing as I have had the smallest amount of dark reddish spotting when I wiped. No more, but have a stabbing pain too. Nothing I can do except pray and try not to freak out! X

KnitterNotTwitter · 15/03/2011 11:46

TTT sounds good

cep fx for your

delilah lovely to meet you and welcome. Spotting is all too common over here and is not always an indication of doom...
