Truff that does make sense, not preachy at all Grin I'm starting to eat more fruit and drink more water (I've given up fizzy drinks for lent) and although I can't say I feel any better, it's coming naturally, I didn't make a conscious decision to do it and when I'm thirsty I crave water not fizzy drinks now Hmm

DH's older brother was an accident, they were 17 and subsequently got married. These people must just be super super fertile. Me and my best mate used to wonder if we were super under-fertile people as we missed loads of pills over the years but never a wiff of an accidental pg Hmm. Never used to bother me but now I think there's probably some truth in it

Truffkin · 16/03/2011 13:18

Josie sounds like a good start. I trained myself to drink 2L of water every day and get headaches if I'm dehydrated so my body is definitely used to being saturated.

I knwo what you mean about accidents. Clearly my Mom had the right idea having me when she was so young and still super fertile, rather than stupid me waiting until I'm a wizened old hag and expecting it to happen so quickly Wink

I seem to have developed a cold overnight as well, so I am off to the canteen to feed my cold with stodge! (I am clearly not practising what I preach Josie Grin)

Daiso · 16/03/2011 14:10

Afternoon all

So AF was due today and if I add the 2 tests from yesterday morning and the one this morning all saying the same, I thought I'd let you know that they were....

Can't believe it - am over the moon but also very nervous as know its v early stage

Sorry if you've already read this as I'm on 2 threads.

Truffkin · 16/03/2011 14:15

Great news Daiso fingers crossed for an easy ride for you!

Imps7 · 16/03/2011 14:35

Woo hooo!! Great news Daiso - congratulations!!

This is a lucky thread indeed!

maybebabyR · 16/03/2011 15:21

Congratulations Daiso really chuffed for you Grinx

Daiso · 16/03/2011 15:49

Thanks all. Smile

Wishing you all lots of luck for your POAS times and SWI and all the like. Still in shock mode - although i woke up at 5.15am and it took about 20 secs for me to remember and it was a bit surreal. Not getting too excited at min but hard not too i suppose. x

weimy · 16/03/2011 16:25

Congrats daisio!

I'm 36 my mum was 21 and I was an accident. I never wanted children until last year.

phooey · 16/03/2011 16:30

OMG amazing news Daiso , big congratulations! Does it feel real yet?!

I confess to being Envy that you got lucky in your very first cycle, I was looking forward to being testing buddies for a while!

But this is indeed turning into a lucky thread Smile

Apologies all for drunken postings of last night!

CaveMum · 16/03/2011 17:02

Congratulations Daiso Grin

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 16/03/2011 19:05

Yay Daiso come join me and Truff in antenatal!

Josie hold on to it being your thread, its a good one, but there is not limit on BFPs in one go, you could easily be next.

CaveMum · 16/03/2011 19:06

LateToTheTTCParty · 16/03/2011 20:09

BFPs like buses at the moment! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 16/03/2011 22:04

Congrats Daiso!!!

I'm glad I started a lucky thread. Gotta be my turn soon. Still no signs of oving but I've been drinking loads and I'm getting weird period type feelings as if I should be due ERTD soon Confused (toddls off to buy easter eggs)

OP posts:
cookiemoo · 17/03/2011 07:10

Good morning and happy st Patricks day to you all!! Huge congratulations on all of the BFPs!!
I'm still here, and checking in from time to time. No sign of anything for me yet but ERTD is due and unusually no sore boobs????
I've got my appointment with the specialist next week when I'll hopefully start meds.
It's been a long journey so far and I'm currently feeling as if it'll never happen for us, that's why it's so lovely to check in here and see people getting their positive results. I can then tell myself it will happen! :)
Xxx

somebeans · 17/03/2011 08:07

Good morning all, this is an informative thread, congrats to all the BFPs!

Re charting vs OPKs - I'm only on my 1st cycle but First Response were BOGOF in Boots - they may still be. They come with a HPT - now 9dp - will probably wait until Sunday, no point otherwise.

Came off pill in November and had light ERTDs until January, then REALLY heavy ERTD. Decided to use OPK as convinced myself that I was not ovulating, however First Response say otherwise - will try to believe them.

DH went to work at 6am this morning, made FATAL mistake of watching One Born Every Minute on 4od.

phooey I'll be testing buddies with you don't worry. I'm 30 and also trying to accidentally seduce DH at the right time.

Daiso · 17/03/2011 08:55

phooey am so sorry - thought we would be testng buddies and thought we would get our BFP's at same time too.

lizzy i'm going to come join Ante natal right now Grin

Daiso · 17/03/2011 08:57

Thanks again for all the congrats. It doesn't seem real yet but it does if that makes sense?

I've got all sorts of weird goings on down there!

Hoping to hear of more BFP's very soon

somebeans · 17/03/2011 10:26

Why oh why did I give in?

Tested, and....... BFN. Obviously.

Grrrr Angry.

weimy · 17/03/2011 10:28

sorry somebeans maybe too early fx

somebeans · 17/03/2011 10:33

Thanks weimy we should all buy shares in HPKs, I'm sure we use a fair few between us!

CaveMum · 17/03/2011 11:22

So, here I am! My appointment was 40mins late starting - consultant was 25 mins late arriving at the hospital and then didn't call me in for another 15 minutes.

We had a long chat about what has been going on, I had an internal exam (oh joy) and they took a few swabs and some more blood. There was a bit of a faff calling up my ultrasound results on screen and while she was doing it she said "the report said no sign of PCOS, but we?ll have a look anyway?.

Needless to say she took one look at the screen and said ?Well she got that wrong, this is classic PCOS?! So ladies, we have a diagnosis AT LAST!!!

I?ve got a prescription for some tablets that will induce an artificial bleed and once I have had that I need to go to hospital for a minor procedure to check my tubes (I can?t remember what she called this). If that, my blood and swabs come back ok it is Clomid ahoy!

They also want to test DH to be on the safe side. There is no indication that he may have a problem, but she said it is best to get him checked out at the same time as me rather than wait even longer to fix me and THEN find out he has issues too.

You may think I?m mad, but I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I may still be broken, but at least we know why and that it is treatable.

Wine for everyone Grin
