Cloclo abnormal could mean so many things. It could and likely does point to something odd about this particular cycle that's just a one-off. Our cycles really are rather fragile and prone to disruption by outside stresses. I didn't even bother to collect the results of my day 2 and 21 bloods as I know I didn't ov that cycle. (I should really ask for them to be done again...)

Sorry about AF giraffe. Sad

Not much going on at my end. I'm pretty sure I laid an egg on Monday or Tuesday; I just hoped we timed SWI right and didn't miss said egg.

cookiemoo · 14/04/2011 22:57

Oh joy what a day!! Another bookface pregnancy announcement!! On the plus side I'm cd2 so first day of clomid...
I'm still lurking in anticipation of our next run of bfp's which I'm sure is just around the corner. Baby dust to all you lovely ladies, goodness knows we deserve it!! Xxx

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 07:03

Good luck with your appointment today CloClo (it is today isn't it??). Fingers crossed for you.

I second you Cookie - we need another BFP run!

Sorry the witch got you Giraffe. Glad that it's been a little bit easier for you to take this month.

CaveMum · 15/04/2011 07:39

Morning all, gearing myself up to talk to my boss this arvo about my hospital appointments [nervous]

Cloclo try not to worry too much, I know it is easier said than done. Quite often Drs use the term "abnormal" to describe anything that is not 100% perfect, so it does not necessairily mean there is a problem.

Cookie fingers crossed for the Clomid - I'll probably be joining you on the stuff in the next month or so, so prepare to be questioned!

Happy Friday everyone!

LateToTheTTCParty · 15/04/2011 07:48

Good luck Cloclo, fx it turns out to be nothing much

Hope Clomid does the job for you Cookie Wink

Fx Tomboy, enjoy the 2ww Grin

Today's temp is still up and AF is due tomorrow. DH is absolutely convinced his swimmers have hit the mark and wanted me to do a test this morning - honestly, what a bad influence he is! I've told him, Sunday at the earliest. We're going to be away for the w/e at a wedding...

Who else is testing this w/e?

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 07:58

I will not get over-excited on your behalf, Late, but it's all sounding very good. Remember though - keep your pee to yourself until Sunday!

My chart's looking a little more normal since I started temping fadgily and at the same time each morning. Trouble is, because I haven't been consistent I can't really compare temps post-ov to current temps. At least it will be more clear (hopefully!) next cycle.

Good luck Cavemum. If he or she is a decent boss then he or she will be very supportive.

goodegg · 15/04/2011 08:11

Hello all! Been lurking this month as I got a bit depressed at people getting BFPs before me Blush and also too busy to post much so got out of the loop really.

Anyway thought I'd update yous - BFP this morning! Grin period 1 day late, no spotting which was weird, slight white discharge, not cramps but funny tummy, PMT-like symptoms gave way to energy and serenity yesterday so thought it was worth POAS this morning. Also weird taste in mouth, not really metallic, just queasy and weird. Doesn't feel real at all!! Off to stay at friends' for weekend, ok need reasons why not drinking...! Hope my symptoms help people who frantically symptom spot.

xxx

FX to all xxx

goodegg · 15/04/2011 08:12

Oops phooey here btw!

cookiemoo · 15/04/2011 08:21

Wahay!! Congrats!! Knew it was time for a bfp! What a lovely start to the day. Xxx

JosieSmith1 · 15/04/2011 08:34

Ah that's fab goodegg huge congrats!!!! Good luck with the no drinking stories this weekend. Stomach bug perhaps?

I have also been lurking, just haven't got around to posting. Still feeling canny rotten, my head is all bunged up so I conveniently can't hear a lot but I also haven't slept much due to arguing with DH last night, for which he has apologised and I told him he owes me a clean house tonight Grin to his credit, he did say he owes me a lot more, bless Grin. Shall I tell him he owes me a good seeing to Grin

Cloclo15 · 15/04/2011 10:57

Congrats goodegg that's fantastic news!

My appt is this afternoon. I was already fairly sure I wouldn't be successful this cycle because of receptionists abnormal comment, still no sign of af but my boobs are feeling a bit sore today - usually a surefire PMT symptom for me so now I'm pretty much convinced :( will keep obsessively checking for any signs of spotting...

Got my fingers crossed for you Late, think you might be more successful than me this month!

weimy · 15/04/2011 11:02

Goodegg Congrats!!!!!!

Away to scotland till sunday, fx for anyone about to poas!!!!!

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 12:44

Phooey!!!! Congratulations!! I'd was wondering where you'd got to. All that hair messing up was worth it then???! And only a few more months before you can take a break from work! Brilliant news.

Re: weekend drinking - depending on the circumstances may be you can get away with not drinking by pretending to drink. A friend of mine did this the other week (I wasn't supposed to notice, but being the eagle-eyed observer that I am, I did! OH didn't though). She poured herself a large glass, and took a tiny sip, then held the glass for ages without drinking, then put the glass down...her DH then subtley replaced hers with his own (which was empty) so she poured herself a refill...and so on and so on. Then a bit later in the evening she said that she'd had more than enough to drink and fancied a cup of tea. Clever....but not too clever for Imps! Ha! Grin Expecting her pg announcement any day now.

Hope that this BFP is the start of a roll...

Cloclo15 · 15/04/2011 12:46

Spotting has begun. Guess I'm out :(

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 12:46

Oh, I didn't out my friend btw - I'd never do that.

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 12:47

Sad CloClo.

JosieSmith1 · 15/04/2011 13:43

Sorry Cloclo Sad

I have to watch my pg colleague walking around sporting an unseemingly large 4 month baby bump, which she is annoyingly carrying off really well. We have discussed names, labour, the works, although obviously my participation has been kept to a minimum and as soon as it gets too much I'm out. But hey ho, paste that smile on and off we go

Very cleverly spotted Imps Grin let us know if an announcement is made

Cloclo15 · 15/04/2011 17:49

Back from docs, not great news.

My levels were 13.6 - apparently they need to be over 30. Not sure if this means I haven't ovulated or egg just extremely poor quality. I've been referred to gynae and should get appt in next 6-8 weeks.

Feel totally devastated - I suppose the next few cycles are going to be totally pointless even trying.

On that cheery note... :(

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 19:21

Oh CloClo hang in there matey. I'm sorry it wasn't better news. Did the GP explain what would happen next/what the options are?

Cloclo15 · 15/04/2011 19:32

No, to be honest she admitted she didn't know a lot about it and needed to talk to a specialist, I suppose that's why she is referring me on. It feels so quick. She said that normally they wait a year and a half but seeing as there was clearly a problem then she would send me now.

At least low progesterone would explain the awful pmt I get! Trying not to spend too much time googling as I'm already worried I'm going to get breast cancer, osteoporosis and the menopause! The is really not a good thing sometimes...

Imps7 · 15/04/2011 19:36

STEP AWAY FROM GOOGLE!!! It honestly won't help you.

It's really positive that they're acting on it now - however hard it is now, it means that you don't have to wait for a year before they look into what they can do for you.

Stay strong CloClo. Have a lovely glass of wine and try to relax, if you can.

TomboyWife · 15/04/2011 21:43

Cloclo it's also worth remembering that even if your progesterone levels suggest you didn't ov this cycle, that was just this cycle. You can have a one-off duff cycle for all sorts of reasons. Hopefully the specialist can shed some more light.

Huge congrats to phooey! Grin

Imps I remember observing a similar thing a few years ago with a friend who brought a six-pack of non-alcholic beer to a party, only drank from her private stash, and tried to hide that it was non-alcoholic by crushing the cans after she was finished with them. When she announced her pregnancy a month or two later, I had to try very hard not to say, "Well, duh!"

Cloclo15 · 15/04/2011 22:20

Well I'm guessing I can't be too messed up as I have never missed a period and they aren't wildly irregular - average 29 days, though have been anything from 25 to 33 days at times. I said this to the doc and she said I might have ovulated but the egg may not have matured properly or something like that - hence I produced some progesterone but nowhere near enough.

Who knows? I know it's probably just the shock of finding out etc but I am feeling a bit of a failure - hubbys sisters seem to fall pregnant at the drop of a hat. He wants to tell his mum and dad that we have been trying and what has happened but I'm not sure. My family all know we have been trying and my mum is really supportive, but I feel a bit inadequate next to his superfertile family. I know it's just in my head but I can't help it!

LateToTheTTCParty · 16/04/2011 09:04

Cloclo, you haven't failed, you just haven't succeeded yet. At least it's been picked up and you have a gynae appointment (and fx you get a good one), it's all positive stuff. So you need a bit of help with things, lots of people do - lots of us on this thread need / have needed help for a variety of reasons. Keep a positive attitude, it's so important. Wink & (hug)

Congrats Phooey, this thread was turning into a bit of a BFP Desert! Grin

Well, AF is due and I'm pretty sure she's not going to be putting in an appearance today. Having said that, I do think I've been having some dull abdominal aches, so I absolutely refuse to get my hopes up. Still no symptoms so interesting to hear from you Phooey.

We're off to a wedding later & staying in a hotel overnight. I'll take some tests with me, will have to get up the nerve to do it though - I'm beginning to freak out about it a little and there's a bit of me that feels safer in ignorance! I had a moment of clarity the other day (when DH was bouncing off the walls with excitement because this is the first time since TTC that I think I may actually be in with a chance) that the moment the second line appears, everything changes. Everything, forever. Eeek!

LateToTheTTCParty · 17/04/2011 15:28

LateToTheTTCParty TTC#1, Cycle 5, UCL 26-ish, CD1

Gutted, AF showed up this morning, about 2 hours after I tested & got a BFN.
Had a really good w/e away though, great wedding & good company, can't complain Wink Rool on Cycle 5.....
