Wow ochaye bfp! Congratulations Grin did you do anything different this month?

jaggy Sad I'm sorry don't feel silly. stupid evap lines drive me crazy. I swear to god I ALWAYS see them now-never knew such a thing existed til TTC.

No poa£5 for me mahoussive temp drop this morning, now way below coverline so FINALLY AF must be on route. I've never had a cycle as long as this before and have kept track for over 6 monthsConfused

Wow essence 73 shops! That's a lot of driving, you could ask for pee sticks instead of claiming back mileage costs Grin

Hi Nancy, bossy I hope you've had a successful morning

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 07:55

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/jaggythistle

chart not looking to hopeful now if I'm being realistic though.

why did i break my no Poas rule? none till af late next month.

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 08:01

too hopeful even!

evap line on test today in case you thought i was bin raking twizzle Grin

Scrummybumb · 03/03/2011 08:21

ochaey wow! Congratulations!!!

jaggy it ain't over till it's over....and don't feel stupid, we've all been there. I tested 5 days after af last month convinced it had all just been spotting Grin

MrsArch nice to hear I've got fellow laters...I kind of thought it might take us couple of years but you can't help hoping you strike lucky earlier. And as for accountants, my best friend is an accountant and she's a HOOT! I'm a bus exec in IT

Hi truffkin and a warm welcome to Nancy

My temps up again this morning, nothing else to report

Scrummybumb · 03/03/2011 08:25

I have become a temp robot though, woke up at night, stuck the thermo in like it's some sort of self defence mechanism only to find out that the noices that woke me up werent DH getting himself ready, but only just coming to bed!!!! It was 1.40am Grin

bossyboop · 03/03/2011 08:27

I was so excited to update my chart Hmm of course bfn. Jaggy dont feel bad we all do it and really get that feeling its different this time but it aint over till its over as I say. I had 78 really scientific points to back me up! Spotting was dwindling to nothing but typically after poas its heavier now so just classed as cd1 as changing colour too and of course temp dip.

So a nice shiny new chart, but on the plus side if im ovulating cd11 I will be back in the game again in no time!

Congrats ochaye!

Newgolddream · 03/03/2011 09:48

jaggy - sorry to hear about your BFN and your temp drop, waiting is agony but CB digitals arent that sensitive, I would only use 1 if I was late, and since I can never resist waiting that long - Ive never used one lol. Superdrugs HPTs are recomended. I will keep everything crossed for you, and there is no need to feel silly - youre not silly, your just like all of us here desperate for a BFP, theres nothing silly about that!

essence - thanks, starting to feel a bit better today but tired already thinking about next weeks swi marathon, have decided to try and do it every 2 days from tomorrow until FF has confirmed ovulation.

Your job sounds so interesting to - its funny how other peoples jobs always sound better than your own lol.

twizzlestix - sorry that you feel AF is on the way, thats how I felt a few days ago and sadly I was right, but you just dont know.

bossyboop - sorry about AF and yes roll on next cycle! I generally ov around CD11 to like you, so hopefully wont have too long to wait either.

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 09:54

i think i am just annoyed because if i had just waited and watched temps like last month, I'd have been much less stressed out!

i think it's because i have had the cramps for about a week and been weeing lots for a couple of days etc, just got carried away as you do. :)

Newgolddream · 03/03/2011 09:59

Of course we do lol, all part of our obsession interest in ttcing Grin

bossyboop · 03/03/2011 10:00

I am actually considering this being my last cycle. I dont know what the consultant will reveal at the end of the month and even if it is nothing after what will be a year and a half I think im ready to admit defeat so we can all move on and dd can have her room to herself instead of sharing it with an empty cot and we can get rid of all the baby stuff weve had stored away and actually move forward with our lives as I feel we are suspended in time waiting for a new arrival that just may not ever come. And that is me being rational and sensible which I prefer to feeling so desperate like I am each 2ww. Im a full time SAHM and ive seen a job I would like to apply for subject to it fitting in with DD and school and childcare and so there may be something else for me to look forward to which I just wouldnt do if I was pg.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 03/03/2011 12:48

Oh jaggy don't be hard on yourself and you are not stupid! We've all had cycles where everything looks right and then it doesn't.
That's what I hate about the 2ww, it can be so cruel. But as you know, until af arrives....

Have you thought about temping till ov then stop temping and wait for af? I am considering this next cycle.

And am curious, what is your job? U have to tell us something!

OP posts:
jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 12:58

I work shifts in a lab - not very mysterious or exciting! eek - need to leave in 5 minutes - better get out of here :O

I am just going to do the same as last month, just temp and not pee on anything, no opks either. Started checking my cervix intermittently this month, might keep doing that, it was not as odd as I thought!!

I think I would find it hard to resist temping after ov! Will consider it though :)

Thanks for making me feel a bit less daft. Ds has been very snuggly today which has cheered me up a bit.

Truffkin · 03/03/2011 14:59

Jaggy sorry for the BFN and I know what you mean about waiting for ERTD rather than testing. I did it one month and although I do struggle a bit with CD1, seeing the BFN was so much worse. My rule now is NEVER to test before ERTD is due and so far, I have not needed to test as ERTD has arrived around the predicted time. It does help slightly for me that I don't have clockwork cycles so ERTD due date is predicted to within a few days, but still I think a good benchmark to set for yourself.

Bossy sorry you are feeling defeated, it is really difficult keeping up the momentum after so long and I know what you mean about putting your life on hold. We've had a few 'just in case' moments about 'should we really do this' or 'should we plan for that' but have decided to plan as if we remain child-free and deal with any plan changing if anything does happen. This way, we have lots of things to look forward to and focus on all the time, instead of just TTC! Good luck with the job application (you see, you'll get your BFP just after you start [grin )

I work in HR and am currently employed by a large media company in London as a business partner. We are originally from the Midlands and thinking of relocating so am currently noseing around the job market back home!

weimy · 03/03/2011 16:24

Jaggy Bossy, sorry you feel low :( ttc certainly is a rollercoaster.

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 17:42

Well AF is here a day earlier than expected, kind of relieved to be honest - couldn't take the wierdness any longer!

I genuinely have been having cramps for about a week and weeing loads the last few days and had Odd Nipples. Who knows what your body gets up to to confuse you eh!

So my new rules...

  1. No POAS ever unless really necessary (ie AF properly late).
  2. No symptom spotting, it WILL make me go mad.
  3. Just look at the frickin chart like last month.
  4. In the event of POAS, don't buy the + ones, I have decided they are evil.

That is all. Grin

Woo CD1

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 17:51

PS is it weird that I knew AF was approaching as I have had different cramps this afternoon? Hmm

weimy · 03/03/2011 18:25

Oh jaggy sorry :( not weird at all.

I am going to follow your rules too this month. xxxx

Scrummybumb · 03/03/2011 18:34

jaggy sorry to hear about af ariving. Sounds like you had what I had back in Jan. I even had loads of nausea, hightened smell, sore everything and then some.

You'll have good months and bad months. Just put this one down as one of the bad ones.

bossy most defenitely go and enjoy your life, and as long as you don't birthcontrol, it can still happen. It apparently took my parents 3,5 years to conceive me, so go and be happy, have a holiday and relax.

mrsden · 03/03/2011 18:40

this thread moves so fast I can't keep up. Sorry if I've missed any important news. I'll give everyone a wave and a nice St Davids

I agree that this is a lovely and friendly thread. I feel very much at home here! I tried it on the buses but then I had to keep hopping on and hopping off, far to complicated for me!

Congrats ochaye. Well done! Any top tips to pass on to us?

Jaggy I'm so sorry AF got you. You are not stupid, we would all have done the same. I like your rules.

I've just written on the thread about trying for over 6 months. The last couple of days I have been getting myself worried that there must be something wrong. It just feels like everyone else can get pregnant within a few months. I'm on 9dpo but I have no hope for this month, my temps have been strange and low the whole month, does not look promising. And I sort of feel like AF might turn up any day.

Scrummybumb · 03/03/2011 18:47

MrsArch just wanted to say thanks for asking about to professions, it's been really interesting finding out what people do and can I just say, what an interesting, smart group of women we are

mrsden · 03/03/2011 18:52

I second that scrummybump I wonder if there is a link between the types of jobs we all do and the fact that we like to be so in control with our charting.

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 19:09

Thanks ladies :)

I'm just starting on month 6 mrsden, which feels a bit depressing to write down, but only because we were so lucky to conceive DS within 2 months.

I waited a couple of months after coming off the pill to ttc, but I know that fertility can be increased when you stop so might have helped then. (not going back on it again to try it though!)

I am also bf this time, and trying to fit SWI round a teething 17 month old, so a whole different set of circumstances for me and my body.

trying to reamin positive, got a special occasion next week so at least I can enjoy lots of Wine Grin

jaggythistle · 03/03/2011 19:10

I like being a scientist Grin

twizzlestix · 03/03/2011 19:25

Sorry I haven't had time to catch up but need advice, finally got AF today or so I thought...TMI ALERT

Normally, 1st day v heavy bright red and clotty this peters out to brown blood by day 3 then not much on day 4.

Today I'm just spotting never even knew spotting existed until joined mn, I NEVER spot! It's brown or pink mucus when I wipe only. I ve poas bfn what's going on? No cramping just a really full heavy feeling which is making me feel Sicky. Could meds I have to take everyday suddenly effect my period? If same tomorrow is it worth calling the dr to check or is this normal for non medicated people? I have Graves disease ( may as well have posted under own name!)

Sorry for me, me, me post but genuinely confused. Will catch up with Fred later

Scrummybumb · 03/03/2011 19:46

mrsden I think you have a point!

twizzle I've seen a lot of women have spotting at the time of their period, when in fact pg. Not trying to put your hopes up. Do you temp? Cant recall. If you do, what do your temps say?
