This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

cep · 01/03/2011 16:51

oh totally collie Grin ok i think it was on ff (can't remember) which said that cm can change throughout the day and to note the most fertile cm. (i have to admit i got a bit addicted, and checked about 3-4 times a day.) Blush

Blackkat · 01/03/2011 18:04

banana87 · 01/03/2011 19:42

Hi all!!!

Well done on another +ve Hils.

olis good luck for Friday :)

Collie I agree, best save a true result for FMU.

Well managed to SWI this morning so not all is lost. Still having EWCM...this is day 5 of EWCM...surely it should go creamy at some point, no? I do usually have an abundance of EWCM, which I guess is a good thing :) Didn't do ov tests this cycle as I find them too difficult to read and they were out of digital ones in Sainsburys.

cep · 01/03/2011 19:50

i had about 6 days of ewcm , glad he was in the mood this morning. banana

Ninunina · 01/03/2011 22:52

Grrr...I just typed a really long post, each with a nice personal message for everyone, then accidently deleted it all.

I'm ready for bed soon, so I'll just and send lots of good luck charms to Olismum and Hils

Sounds promising Olismum- can't believe how quickly that's happened since you mc 1 day after me. Do you usually have a short cycle?

Now for the me me me: I've never been like this before, but I'm only 3DPO and I'm already symtom spotting. I'm feeling very similar to how I felt before my BFP.

  • A bit crampy
  • A little bit constipated (TMI- but I'm usually very regular and don't normally have to strain)
  • Slightly slightly nauseous (but that's quite common for me)

I'm sure I'm imagining everything, but kinda hoping I'm not.

cep · 02/03/2011 07:11

morning all, hope everyone is ok.

blackkat i meant to ask, are you hinting i'm talking to much?? Wink Grin

ninu i'm afraid just because it's so early i'll have to give you this. < (but i'm keeping fx for you. Grin

ZamMummyInGabs · 02/03/2011 07:33

Hello all, just a quick one on phone. Congratulations Hils - top news!
This is an all-out cycle for me - took soy isoflavones cd2-6, started grapefruit juice cd6, and was planning to start SMEG today, but had EWCM yesterday (cd7!!) so started a day early. DH won't know what's hit him Grin
Anyone else used soy isoflavones?

cep · 02/03/2011 07:36

hi zam how was your trip?? i've never heard of soy isoflavones (but then i hadn't heard of most of anything until i was on here.)fx for you.

Ninunina · 02/03/2011 07:40

I know, I know...I deserve that wet fish! I'm not usually this hopeless. I'll try to make up for it by not testing like a mad women from 7 10dpo. Anyone think I can do it?

Chloe55 · 02/03/2011 07:51

Ninu I have been like you this month and am only on 4dpo! I'm trying not to convince myself as that only seems to end in misery, the time I have been pg have been when I don't think I am! Although every little twinge throws a new thought into my head - I am on Clomid though and it seems to give me every pg symptom under the sun from my second week into my cycle Hmm

Hils Brilliant news for you, you must be over the moon.

I am a bit crap at taking supplements, I'm one of these girls who always forgot to take the contraceptive pill too (I always did wonder how I managed to get away with not falling pg - guess I know now Sad) Anyway, I have been good at remembering to have brazil nuts and have just checked the nutritional value and they are a good source of folic acid so am feeling quite pleased about that.

OP posts:
Collie2 · 02/03/2011 08:04

Hi ninu yes you are very early but it's hard to not symptom spot when you desperately want something. I hope you have lots of cheapie pee sticks stashed away?? Grin

chloe fx for you this month xx

Right, more me me me I am afraid. My jolly mood has been zapped this morning. I'm on CD23 which is my expected ov day. Had slight temp rise yesterday but dropped again today. Still a -ive opk and cm drying up. Tested cm again last night and very dry, but was just after gym so thought it was that. However there is not much today, a little bit of sticky, that's it Sad Really confused and down beat about it. We are still swi every other day but....well, it's hard to keep positive.

If you want to see my chart it's here ... Any wise words anyone?

Chloe55 · 02/03/2011 08:29

When I click on yours collie it take me to mine - how do I see yours? Do you have months when you don't ovulate that you are aware of? I know all woman have the odd month they don't ovulate but for me it's most without a bit of help iyswim. Try not to lose hope though, maybe you just haven't produced as much cm this month and as people say on here the opk sticks aren't very reliable.

OP posts:
Ninunina · 02/03/2011 08:40

Chloe I'm glad I'm not alone with the silly symptom spotting. Glad Brazil nuts are also a source of topic acid.

collie Ive got 4 cb tests and and a few cheapies, guess which ones will get used first.

meliesmummy · 02/03/2011 08:45

Good morning ladies!

Step away from the sticks ninu! Altho I can hardly talk, it's a bit like the pot kettle black thing, fx for you tho, the last few weeks have been lucky after all!

collie sorry can't help you there, I've got no idea about charting. I hope someone who can will have words of wisdom soon.

We dtd last night, I was really nervous bcos I've had so much prodding and poking down there over the last 3 weeks but it was fine. I am officially back on the horse!

Ps is anyone else completely addicted to the am I being unreasonable thread? I love the funny ones and can't believe how angry some people get on the serious ones! (Altho I couldn't help myself from commenting on a lady who had perfect home births and said awful things about those of us unfortunate to have needed a c section who want another one next time)

Collie2 · 02/03/2011 08:54

chloe try this link think I posted wrong link. I'm not sure about not ovulating although that's what I am disheartened about. Did your fetility problems start after your ds or mc? I didn't chart b4 my miscarriage and had only really figured out how long my cycle was. I don't think I ovulated in my ETF cycle although I can't be 100%
