This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

So so pleased for you both! Haven't dropped in for a few days, and is so nice to hear some lovely news!!

Well, still no AF for me. Had a BFN yesterday morning, so don't know what's going on really!

Patience is a virtue though Smile

olismum23 · 24/02/2011 10:43

cep what brilliant news!! congratulations and hope GP sorts antibiotics for you soon.

Please stay, lurk whatever's best for you Smile x

Collie2 · 24/02/2011 12:04

Arti so sorry to hear your news. I don?t know much about molar pg (apart from a quick google) and reading your thread. I hope that your tests go well though and you can recover and move on quickly.

blackkat what does PIL stand for?? ? I assume they are family so I am so glad they are ok. I hope you hear from your friends soon, I can imagine everyone out there knows someone effected by it. It must be terrible.
Hope your AF comes soon and good luck for Friday I?ll be thinking of you. X

Melies I am sorry you are still struggling. I think going back to work is hard and some days its really the last place I want to be, but it really does help to take your mind off things (well a bit anyway). Monday will be difficult I am sure but it will get better after that. I was going to suggest the same things as cep why not have a night in with a friend while DH away? And could a friend not babysit for you to give you and DH some time together? I think it would be good for you. I can imagine its hard for you not having any family near. X

Mouse nice to hear from you. sorry to hear you are still testing positive. I suppose that?s a worry 4 weeks on. I hope your tests come back ok.

I know what you mean about feeling like your chances of getting pg are about as likely as winning the lottery. It really did seem so simple before didn?t it. But, as they say ?you have to be in it, to win it!? Grin

Zam sorry AF found you in the end. I don?t think I ov?d last month but I was in my WTF cycle so suppose that doesn?t count. I think its common for most women not to ov every now and again.

hmmmm brazil nuts?!!

Just about to go to the dentist to have a filling Sad

mummyabroad · 24/02/2011 12:44

GrinC GrinE GrinP Grin Great news!!!! Well done lady!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Right just gonna change the stats, 'cos I am on twice. (I put myself in the wrong place first time, doh!)

afternoon all, Thank you so much for your messages. still can't believe it really, thought we'd dtd in all the wrong times this month. i now have hurdles in my mind firstly this weekend as is the date af due. Have added stats again as mine was today, and didn't want to come before mummya on the list as she was bfp first. (if that makes sense.) Thanks those who remembered am waiting to call dr as can only call between 2-3.

i will also add, i was drinking g/fruit juice, pineapple juice and pommegranate juice up to ov was then eating brazil nuts after ov. I also used preseed a couple of time although only a little, cause as someone else said on here a little while ago a little goes a very long way.

mel so sorry about your argument with dh. Did he say it without thinking? i think in a way even when the men are being as supportive as they can be we're still to a certain extent going through it alone cause they won't feel the way we do, (both emotionally and physically)

zam sorry af got you, and that you're feeling down.

oli sorry you're still having a bad day, it does get better hon.

maybe when did you stop bleeding hon? it took 5 weeks for mine to arrive after the mc.

i have dentist on monday, i wonder if it's free already. Grin

Afternoon all, sorry not been around for a few days.

Cep I'm over the moon for you, so pleased for your BFP!!!!! Grin Hopefully your Dr will sort out the meds etc - have your results come back yet?

MummyA You too, congratulations, sounds like you really gave it everything this month.

Collie Hope dentist went ok Smile

Oli sorry to hear you're not having a good time of it? If you want to share you know where we are. (((hugs)))

Maybe Hope AF stays away

Chloe Sounds like you had a fun birthday!!! Definately a story you'll be able to tell for years to come. Hope you and DH got things sorted out after your fight.

Zam Sorry you're feeling so down. Hope this cycle is the lucky one for you.

Hadrian How was Thailand? Have fun with the SMEG plan, any maybe buy a lottery ticket too!

Mouse sorry work is so crap at the moment, hope this week has given you a bit of breathing space. Fx you get that BFN soon.

Blackkat Will be thinking of you tomorrow, hope it is everything you need it to be. ((((hugs)))) Any news from your friends in NZ?

Arti if you're still around on here, sorry to hear of your diagnosis, must be a worrying time for you. Hope they get your treatment sorted quickly. x

Nina I'm with you on the grapefruit juice, just can't stomach it. Do you think chocolate brazils count just as well as the plain ones???

Mel What a horrible day you had, hope you are having a better one today. Its always hard going back to work, but hopefully it will help take your mind of things once you get back into the swing of things.

Sorry if I've missed anyone, hope you are all ok x

Does anyone know if FF still shows the coverline and crosshairs etc on standard membership? Has anyone paid for vip, and if so was it worth it?

laylasmummy09 · 24/02/2011 14:10

congratulations i havent been on for a few days and its full of BFP's please stay, good news and positive vibes are needed here, im feeling a bit negative atm as im still waiting for first AF and the due date of my first lost baby is coming up on 8th march my SIL just had her 20 week scan shes having a girl Grin she has a lovely bump and im so envious, my friend is also pg there were three days between us with my second loss, i took my dd to playgroup monday with my mum who seemed to have forgotten about my losses and started introducing me and dd to all the newborns in the group wich was lovely but so draining, MIL is soo exited about SIL having baby, its their first and im finding it so hard to be around her as she runs a pub and seems to tell every customer how great life is, shes one of those people who say oh well its just one of those things, lets move on, it seems to be baby baby baby all the time and its so hard to Smile i hope it gets easier after the 8th, sorry about the rant, i hope you are all feeling positive today x

cep · 24/02/2011 14:41

grrr bloody annoying results service phone just rang and rang apparently if she's on the phone it'll still just ring and ring. now i'm on a list for her to callback. i wonder how many hours that'll take. then if pos i'll have to try and get the dr. what fun this is.

thanks lily

layla poor you it's everything at once isn't it. Maybe it's best to just stay away for a little while. just have some you and dd time. (and dh ofcourse)

meant to say i'll be here for as long as you ladies want me here, i just don't want to upset anyone. Smile

Youremindmeofthebabe · 24/02/2011 15:44

Bloody hell, have I missed it all again?!

Congratulations cep SmileSmile

cep · 24/02/2011 15:50

thanks yrmotb how are you? haven't seen you for while.

ok so apparently even getting a bfp doesn't stop me testing, i did another this afternoon and showed another +. Although until this weekend/next week is over will be worrying af will start still. If i get no proper blood then already will be starting better than last pg.

nurse called back said everything was neg i said well could have caused the high ph number, she said i need more reassurance so am now waiting for dr to call me back from list like last week. been an hr already. Smile ho hum.

olismum23 · 24/02/2011 15:58

Hi ladies i was wondering if i dont concieve on this wtfc cycle when should my af come 4-6 weeks after bleeding stops or 4-6 after thr day i m/c?? a little confused it will be only 2 weeks on Sun since my bleeding stopped and it will be 3 weeks on tues coming since i m/c.
all advice welcome

Youremindmeofthebabe · 24/02/2011 16:05

good thanks, my love. I fell off the November bus, and lurk here and the freak out room and post in the common room. But still here! I believe some ladies have been known to do 10+ tests in the first few weeks.Grin

Velvetcu · 24/02/2011 16:08

I've done 4 tests this week and will do a cb digi in the morning to make sure the number has gone up :)

Collie2 · 24/02/2011 16:37

Oils I would expect it's from when your mc bleeding stops as some people bleed for quite a while as part of there mc.... Not me just over a week. My AF took about 4 weeks after my bleeding stopped. Hope you're ok? Sorry you've had a hard couple of days. We're hear if you want to off load talk.

olismum23 · 24/02/2011 17:00

Thanks Collie Its is very strange i feel pregnant but got a definate BFN yesterday hoping its just early or what i have been feeling sensitive boobs cramps etc is either Af although feels different or me actually ovulating who knows on the WTF cycle i have decided i will test again on the 4th and then every friday till my AF comes or i get a BFP.

I had a big argument with my mum on her and my wee boys bday (yesterday) and it just seems like every pay day money never goes as far as you would like typical life stuff!

Plus even though i was only six and a half weeks i miss my bean i miss her a lot sounds silly i know :(

cep · 24/02/2011 17:24

yrmotb and velvet i have a feeling i'll be buying tests secretly cause dh won't understand now that i've had the bfp.

oli i mc'd on 2/12. bled for approx a week and af started 7/1. so 5 weeks from mc. It doesn't sound silly, it sounds completely normal. From the moment you get a bfp you start picturing them and imagining a life with them, when that gets taken away you miss it. It could be just early, 2 days ago i was bfn. orry about the argument with your mum, i hope you made up.

dr called me back and has given me some cream, (yeay) but then mentions that they don't really like to treat it in early pregnancy, so i said about waiting another month or so and he said that by then there would be even more of fetus that could get effected and therefore to do it earlier. of course reading on google (and info sheet) say not recommended for early pregnancy (1st trimester) as insufficient evidence of safety. Hmm does also say to discuss with dr first and as it was on dr's say so while it's so small and not connected yet.......

Just bobbed back on to ask a quick question whilst madly trying to get organised for the trip tomorrow - did an ovulation test about an hour ago, checked it after all of about a minute as didn't think i would be considering my cycle is normally roughly 35 days although it is random and there wasn't a line, went back to throw it away and there is a def second line now. How likely do you reckon it might just be an evap line do you think it is?

OP posts:
cep · 24/02/2011 17:34

chloe how long did you leave it?? i'm probably the wrong person to ask, i've made it clear i've never had a +opk, might be worth dtd just to be on the safe side.
