This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

Stats to follow.

Hello everyone. I've been in hiding a bit as had some not-so-good news but lovely Blackkat tracked me down. Wink Unfortunately been diagnosed with a molar pregnancy (don't google it, it always sounds worse than it is!) so I need some specialist follow up and no TTC for me for a good few months. I was very shocked and upset yesterday when I found out but feeling better today and trying to think of lots of positive things I can do over the coming months so that whenever I am finally given the all-clear I am in the best physical and mental health to get going again.

So, this is a bit of an au revoir! Although I'll pop back every now and then to see how you're all doing and I'm sure that you will all graduate very soon anyhow. I have my own special thread [preen] to whine on over in Miscarriage section so do drop in for a Wine and Brew.

I would sprinkle babydust over you all but this is Mumsnet so I'll just say GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

mousebacon · 23/02/2011 20:29

Arti just saw your thread in mc and wanted to find you! It was only a couple of days ago we were talking about how similar our circumstances were. I wanted to wish you all the best. I know exactly what a mp is (have wondered about myself too) and I hope the hospital are lovely with you.

Good luck with your treatment. Let us know how you get on. Lots of love xx

Ninunina · 23/02/2011 20:58

So sorry for about your diagnosis Arti. I'm not really sure what it means to have a molar pregnancy, I will do some research, but I wish you all the best and hope your body bounces back to normal fast.

Blackkat · 23/02/2011 21:10

We're all still here for you ASmile and will most certainly be dropping by for Brewand Wine as long as you promise it's not Baldrick style.

Glad you are feeling more positive today ((hugs))

Mouse good to hear from you, have the symptoms calmed down yet?

Oh and brazil nuts good for swimmers so get DH to eat them too!

mousebacon · 23/02/2011 21:18

Hi blackkat I'm ok thanks. I'm still testing positive unfortunately so I've been to see the nurse at the gp surgery today to get my blood hcg levels checked. I'm a bit worried I'll have to have another erpc to be honest. Not great news considering the hassle I had with work!

How are you? xx

mousebacon · 23/02/2011 21:19

Should have said - erpc was 4 weeks ago x

Blackkat · 23/02/2011 21:21

mouse oh no so sorry to hear that you're still testing positive - FX that the HCG is dropping and you are spared another ERPC. ((hugs))

Doing ok, just about - thanks again for support and advice about Friday, will be thinking of you next week too.

x

mummyabroad · 23/02/2011 21:25

Hello to everyone who still remembers me. This thread always did move lightening fast so I wouldnt be surprised if the entire cast list has changed since I last looked. Thanks for keeping me on the list these last few days, its with great pleasure that I announce I will be updating it shortly to reflect my BFP GrinGrinGrin. Its been 11 months since my mmc, and most of the ladies I first started talking to on this thread have long since moved on but Big thanks to the thread itself for providing so much brilliant support over the last year and best of luck to everyone on it at the moment. Hope you all get sticky BFP's very soon. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

cep · 23/02/2011 21:26

arti so sorry about the diagnosis, hope you're ok.

mouse good to see you're ok, hopefully you won't need another erpc. fx for you. how have work been now you're been back a little while?

YAY MUMMYA!!!!! Sending over some industrial strength superglue :)

Make sure you pop in every now and then to let us know how you're doing (and give us your words of wisdom).

Did you do anything this month vs. previous months? Is this yet another SMEG baby?

cep · 23/02/2011 21:41

not too bad thanks. Smile

mousebacon · 23/02/2011 21:44

I was at work for a fortnight until half term - this week. It gradually got better as the days went on. HT has more or less ignored me but I suppose that's better than being shouted at and made to feel like rubbish.

Aah, I just want to be pg again...why's it so bloody complicated? Might take up smoking - seemed to work for all the 14 yr olds outside antenatal after my op [bitter emoticon]

Collie2 · 23/02/2011 21:46

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS MummyA!!!!! I am so so pleased for you!! It couldn't have happened to a more lovely person. Happy birthday too!!!

keep us posted mummya xx

Ninunina · 23/02/2011 21:52

mouse I totally know what you mean about the 14 year olds. I'm generally not a bitter person, and am genuinly happy and excited for all my pregnant friends and I love hearing news that people are pg....but when I see these teens who seem to get pregnant at the drop of a hat, don't take care of themselves and don't even know the meaning of miscarriage....it makes my blood boil a little Angry

mummyabroad · 23/02/2011 22:05

thanks ninunina

I started doing SMEG but ended up having a bit MORE sex than you are supposed to on SMEG. I had an HSG in Jan and they are pretty famous for improving your chances because your tubes get a bit of a "jetwash" so there is a good chance that helped. Also I did The Great GrapeFruit Juice experiment AND used pre-seed but not every time. All in all it was a bit of an all out mission-impossible-style-take-no-prisoners-i-am-going-to-get-pregant-if-it-kills-me-hurculean-effort.

(Did I mention the Evening Primrose Oil, bromelain, red raspberry leaf tea and Vitamin E supplements before ov and 1000mg of folic acid?) Here is my chart if anyone wants to do an overlay Wink

getawiggleon · 23/02/2011 22:33

Hello lovely ladies. I was always rubbish at keeping up with this thread as it moves so fast and I've been ttc for a while post mc so I've shuffled over to the common room thread now. I'm sorry to see so many new names on here but hope that you all get those elusive, sticky bfps soon.

I don't want to mess up the list by lingering at the top any longer (I'm back to CD12) so I'll slide down to MIA and lurk from time to time if that's ok?

Just a quick note before bed to say a huge HURRAY for mummya and her new bean! No one could deserve it more, I'm so pleased for you.

Also lovely to see velvet popping in and wiggle please do lurk! We'll miss you and will be here whenever you need a hand to hold.

Sorry to hear about the molar pregnancy arti but glad you're feeling so positive.

I'm on CD8 today so the mighty SMEG plan has begun but to be honest right now the thought of getting pg seems like such an impossible mission. It all seemed so simple this time last year and now I feel like I've got a better chance of winning the lottery. Maybe I should go and get myself a ticket...

Waves to collie and chloe and cep and everyone else x

cep · 24/02/2011 07:37

morning all.

mouse so sorry you're feeling so frustrated. I find it really annoying the teenagers that seem to get pg without even trying.

hadrian oh hon it will happen again. are you taking anything to help?

collie me too Grin i just couldn't help but want to see how they're doing.

now my mememe moment, firstly i wanted to appologise as i have absolutely no patience and although i didn't take a test yesterday (yeay for me) I did this morning. BFP 1-2 weeks. i'm really excited, scared and now don't want to go into work. am dreading the results later today and wondering if positive if it's going to be a nightmare getting hold of the dr again.

I don't want to move on from here if that's ok i feel so comfy here like family really. If it's awkward having me around please tell me and i will then only lurk.

meliesmummy · 24/02/2011 08:09

Big congrats to cep!!!!! I'm sure now you're pg the drs will HAVE to take you seriously, aren't your results due today? And congratulations to mummya, you sound dedicated!

Sorry to hear about your sad diagnosis arti, I hope your treatment goes as well as it can x

mouse I know exactly what you mean about smokers outside clinic...the day I went for my scan (the one that diagnosed my mc) I walked past a hugely pg 'lady' puffing away , it just felt SO unfair that I did it by the book and lost my baby and she couldnt even give up smoking for hers...am I becoming bitter and twisted?!

Had a huge row with dh last night, can't bring myself to speak to him this morning, he said something that really upset me and he's said he didn't mean it but can't explain what he DID mean so I can't forget it, it's made me feel really alone thru this, but then he started saying how lonely he feels bcos he doesn't feel he can talk about it with his friends and no one he works with knows, and then I also started feeling guilty! I just don't know what to do now!

meliesmummy · 24/02/2011 08:10

cep I forgot to say please stay!

ZamMummyInGabs · 24/02/2011 08:13

Hello all, can't keep up but just wanted to say HUGE congrats to MummyA, AandR, Velvet & Cep* - WOO HOO!!

I'm very down in the dumps as now feeling like crap on CD2 after previously-unheard-of 32 day cycle. [humph emoticon] Looking at my temps it seems as though I may not have ov'ed last cycle - has this happened to anyone else?

Thinking of trying agnus castus this month to sort my hormones out (as well as EPO & B6) - anyone have experience with this?
