This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

afternoon all. you'll have to forgive me if i miss anything i had a bad memory at the best of times.

chloe Smile thanks. if clomid does mess with hormones (i have no idea unfortunately) you've talked previously of your moods being all over the place on it so it's perfectly reasonable to assume it could make you depressed. Unfortunately counsellors do tend to have quite a waiting list through gp's, when i went to see one a few years back it took about 5-6 weeks before my first appointment.

aandr glad to hear from you fx for friday.

hadrian so good of you to come on and rub it in. Grin and to go 1 step better i only rode an elephant Envy. seriously so pleased your enjoying it.

tokyo brown means old blood. glad work wasn't too bad.

zam am very Envy of all your trips. sorry about the bfn but you still have a couple of days don't you??

maybebaby fx you're not coming down with something.

oli so sorry you're ill, and how sweet of your dh.

mumtum your nickname is down to you. certainly doesn't bother me. Grin and 36.4 is fine mine's lower than that, although i have mine in farenheit so that discuises it a bit. Grin

blackkat am glad you were pleased by chloe calling you a lady, always Confused when woman seem to take offence by being called a lady, i'd take offense at being called not a lady.

mouse hope you had a fantastic night.

if at first hope you're ok

yrmotb hi glad to see you. hope you're ok.

someone asked about becoming a friend on ff, if you go onto someones chart when they link on here top left says add to friends, press that and it'll invite the person.

hello to lili, lily, collie, wellie those in common room. much appologies if i've forgotten anyone else.

oh and my pains seem to have eased a bit, still a little bit but not as bad. still seem to be getting creamy, watery or eggwhite cm so goodness knows.

cep · 16/02/2011 16:29

zam mean to say have a fantastic time.

MumTumWanted · 16/02/2011 16:52

hey cep glad your pains have eased a little never nice having them x Glad i dont seem to be the only one with low temps..Not sure i could deal with farenheit though i really would get confused ... ( doesnt take much at the best of times let alone whilst obsessing about TTc) Grin

Blackkat · 16/02/2011 16:52

Hello all, glad 1st day went of tokyo it's a relief isn't it! Smile

mumtum, tokyo WTF truly is WTF. I had my ERPC nearly 3 weeks ago and bled for one week after (I'd been waiting to miscarry naturally and so had bled for nearly 2 weeks before) I've had some dark brown blood and loads of cm over the last 2 weeks, my GP and EPU nurse said it was stil the last remnants of the m/c working their way out. I think as YRMOTB says you will know when AF shows up!
Cep posted this the other day, but it is a good description of WTF
www.pregnancyloss.info/waitingforaf.htm

cep glad symptoms have cleared up a bit

zam have an awesome time

mumtum it was me wondering if you should change your nickname to reflect your "secret MNer status" I shall stop making jokes on here now!! Grin

chloe hope you are feeling ok, Clomid can have side effects like you're describing, can you head back to lovely GP?

lily how are the pills going?

MumTumWanted · 16/02/2011 17:11

blackkat oops Blush should have picked up that it was in relation to my covert operations - speaking of which i shall be off shortly as OH is due home.... (was just worried i was upsetting people which was never my intention... therefore v glad was just in jest and no need to have that stern talking to yourself perhaps i should though for having become too sensitive and lost my SOH...Blush)

lets have ourselves an early Wineand recommence the obsessive TTC thoughts...

still deluding myself that i have had af even though i know its 99% that it was just wtf mc type bleed Sad and instead cheer self up by already working out due dates for IB based on 9th Feb being af [there is no helping this mad woman emoticon}

Blackkat · 16/02/2011 17:12

Good idea mumtum clinks Wine x

MumTumWanted · 16/02/2011 17:14

ooo he is home see you all later x

maybebabyR · 16/02/2011 17:21

Thanks Blackkat, I think I deserve more of a tuna though!!!

Im a scientist as well, I really should know better!!

Am going to cook all my worries away instead with a pork goulash and large Wine for DH and I!

maybebabyR · 16/02/2011 17:24

Oh, and mumtum I had a similar experiment, but with a hot water bottle.
DH thought it quite sweet until I got up to go to the toilet and it fell out of my PJ bottoms on to the floor. DH nearly died laughing.

Hopefully the same won't happen when there is actually a DC up there nstead!!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 16/02/2011 20:23

yey! could someone move me up to the proper list (dodgy keyboard wont allow me to do anything fancy like lists), AF arrived today - which took me by surprise, but I'm so relieved! :) xx

cep · 16/02/2011 20:58

Ok someone throw a fish at me, i'm 5 days past ov (according to ff) just been to loo and had a drop of blood when i wiped which i have started to imagine is implantation bleed. Some websites say implantation can happen between 5-10 days after ov some say 6-12. Anyway please throw something at me/hit me.

Oh cep, you poor thing!! It would be hypocritical of me to fish slap you when I am even worse!!

You never know though, stay positive Smile

Collie2 · 16/02/2011 21:12

cep I know i really should throw a fish at you..... but i can't. Do you normally get spotting so early before AF? Lets hope those temperatures stay high! [Grin] In the meantime, heres a little Mackerel!!

MumTumWanted · 16/02/2011 21:15

cep i have everything crossed for you and will not be using fish in any way a hope is a hope is a hope x

maybe i nearly got caught again LOL at the water bottle incident,

if yay for the AF but not for if you get one next month Angry

cep · 16/02/2011 21:18

maybe thanks Smile

collie i don't remember ever having a spot before. Last cycle i started getting a bloody cm a few days before af started but i checked cm and no blood. Was just a drop of fresh blood, wiped again and there was a lighter one then a ghost of a one, then that was it. grr is going to drive me nuts until either af starts or bfp. Doesn't help that cycles are different length each month.

LILI80 · 16/02/2011 21:29
cep · 16/02/2011 21:35

lili ah bless. unfortunately if it's going to be a full 28 day cycle this month then not for forever. i'm only on day 19 at the moment.

Blackkat · 16/02/2011 21:54

I have FX for you cep but also have goldfish at the ready...anyone else remember A Fish Called Wanda and the goldfish (or is that just my age and bad sense of humour again?? Blush Grin

ifat so pleased AF has shown up - for once only! Smile

lili it sounds more friendly when you tell us what we're supposed to take thank you Smile, Zita always sounds so bossy Grin!!

Big hellos to everyone else xx

Mamapower · 16/02/2011 22:02

so much to learn... < use it freely and wisely Grin

lily06 · 16/02/2011 22:21

Evening all
Just a quick one, supposed to be doing accounts....
Thanks for asking, Blackkat, have just taken the first tablet an hour ago (cd2) so will wait and see! Oh, and my first goldfish was called Wanda Grin, love that film.
Hope everyone is ok, sorry for the post and dash.

meliesmummy · 16/02/2011 22:23

I have officially HAD ENOUGH! Less than a week after I have a miscarriage my daughter has fractured her foot and after yet another few hours at the hospital (all be it a different one) she is in plaster up to her knee! When is this going to end?!!! I hope it comes in threes and that the kitchen ceiling falling down 3 weeks ago was the first, now we've had our 3 can you leave us alone now bad luck? Please?

Anyway, rant over, cep I hope this is your month!

Collie2 · 16/02/2011 22:44

A&R hows the boob prodding? Still no AF? I?m very impressed with your will power to wait till Friday! Only one day to go really!! Did you stick to SMEG?

Chloe switch was ok, the charting was only a bit at the beginning, but made us laugh. I don?t think I even knew what charting was 6 months ago! If you want to be friends (ahhh feel like I?m in primary school) i'll post the link to my ff page ? same goes for anyone else. Smile - will have to do that form my phone though as i can't rememeber my login.

How are the clomid side effects today chole ? Still not as bad I hope. Obv glad you think that your ups and downs are the clomid, rather than just you?.but a little Sad as I think that might make me the only one going nuts!! Grin

Lily glad you got your AF, a 57 day cycle is unbareably long. Good luck with the clomid tonight i hope its kind to you

Tokyo glad your first day back went ok, that was good of your boss to be so nice and say you can leave early.

Melies I think everyone has reassured you plenty about not trying to understand why you mc and not to blame yourself. I did it, I kept thinking about the coffees I had had that week and the fact I?d been to the gym. But I doubt any of those things made a difference, and even if they did, I can't change anything that?s in the past. Although I suppose I?ll be more cautious next time?. But I think that?s bcs I?ll just worry about everything, as chole said I think we have been robbed now of the fun of being pg
Your shrub sounds lovely, such a nice thing to do.

Blackkat glad your first day back at work went well too ? hope you?ve given that bloke a good kick up the backside. Sorry AF won?t hurry up and arrive, I know how frustrating waiting is.

Zam your moster trip sounds AMAZING. Not at all Envy Sorry about your BFN but you still have a couple of days so fx for you.

Hils sorry work yesterdat was shit, how was today?

Hadrian lovely to hear from you. Glad you are having a nice relaxing time.

Oils very Envy of your dh cleaning your house before work

Mumtum sticks to pee on can be expensive ? have a look at ebay or try amazom ? I got about 50 OPKs and 10 HPT for about £7. That means I can to my --OCD?hearts content!

I had to go back to work after Christmas too having everyone ask did you have a nice Christmas. And I am such a shit liar!

Grin at your mad woman emotion

Ninunina · 16/02/2011 23:01

So sorry to hear your daughter has hurt her leg Meliesmummy. You're very right about bad things happening in 3's, but good things happen in 3's too- so that might be just around the corner.

I hope everyone else is doing ok! I can't seem to catch up with all the posts over the last couple of days. I guess it shows I'm back doing my crazy manic job!!!

I took my last blood test this morning, hcg levels are down to 8 now, so I'm pleased that I won't need to go back. I really want to start TTC straight away, but I don't know if I should. I hear you are more fertile straight after, and that the main issue is dating the pregnancy, so its very tempting to just jump back into it- but then again, there is a reason why doctors advise people not to!!!

Collie2 · 16/02/2011 23:12

I?m a lot better than the beginning of the week. Been to Holland and Barrett today and stocked up?.. I should seriously have shares by now! Who mentioned Selenium? I?ve bought that too, but for HD as well. I?ve also got Zinc for us both and L-Carnitine for him. I?m taking folic and EPO too?and grapefruit juice!! I?ll be rattling away too ! Grin Have a look at this link it was suggested to me in the thread earlier.

Who else is taking EPO? cep you are right? How much are you taking? I take 1500mg a day and a mediums sized glass of g/f juice. I noticed a big difference before my AF, and I?ve still got some cm, but not so much.

Going back to the should you drink Wine or Brew topic, I?ve moved to organic decaf and herbal, limiting myself to the odd coffee as a treat once or twice a week and I?m going to stay off the Wine (apart from one small with a meal at the w/end] until I get a BFN (or BFP). I could do with a bit of a detox anyway Smile Been to the gym tonight for the first time in ages which was good?.although expect I?ll ache tomorrow.

?.as you can see CD9 and I?m gearing up for SWI?. I need good sperm and a hospitable uterus please. Grin Lots of greens on the menu from now to next week!!

Had another pg announcement today. A friend of DH (well his mates OH) actually, so I don?t know her that well and we don?t see them too often but still?? I only have two friends with babies?.and now since Christmas every tom dick and harry are having them. Sad

Anyway, I best go as DH is home from being out and I think he thinks I send my life on here?.although I think I?ve not been on much lately. Work is just too busy and I?ve not worked from home this week, which make popping on easier.

Sorry if I missed anyone on my replies before, but I hope everyone is ok.

Collie2 · 16/02/2011 23:14

Grin at mammap 's fish!! Thanks, i have a feeling we're going to need that!
