The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Hi everybody! Hope you are all fine.

Thank you for all your positive thoughts, but I think ERTD is sneaking up on me now. Sad

I have had a bit of a rubbish weekend as DP and I have been constantly bickering about money. It's not either of our faults, we're just so stressed about it. I know things will improve for us, and we both really want a baby, but I'm starting to think it's a bad idea when we are so skint. Anyway, DP has disappeared to bed having got a bit drunk, and I am getting ready to bath DS soon and get him organised for school tomorrow.

Sorry to be a downer. Glad your horse is on the mend nelly.

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 13/02/2011 17:13

I'm here, after a long boring day marking and planning a lesson for an observation on Friday (last day of the half term).

I think ERTD is starting, because I've had a bit of spotting today, but it is about a week early by my calculations. Pants pants pants. I've been convincing myself that if I don't think about it, it'll just happen, and I'm gutted that it looks like it didn't happen this month. It is so hard not to get sucked into thinking about nothing else.

Still, glad things are on the up for your horsey Nelly

[trying to think of something more interesting/less depressing/actually worth saying to say emoticon]

BamBam21 · 13/02/2011 19:00

Oh lizzy you never know. Could be implantation! Smile That would be a nice surprise for the half term break! Grin

deemented · 13/02/2011 19:37

Hey folks,

Sorry to be AWOL of late. Lots of stuff going on here.

Bloody manshapes mother Angry

I tolerate her at the best of times, but by jesus she winds me up. Have had to spend the entire bloody weekend with her as her DP and manshape were working on the car.

She is very very adamant that manshape and i do not have any more children. Apparently i'd find it hard to cope, we can't afford it, it wouldn't be fair on our other children, she just doesn't want us to, i'd be 'trapping' him Hmm

She's rang before now to make sure i've taken my pill, and reminded manshape several times that antibiotics would knock the pill out and to take extra precautions.

I swear she'd have a fucking coronary if she knew we were SWI Grin

I may tell her yet....

BamBam21 · 13/02/2011 20:47

Oh dee that's just awful. It's bad enough when you are weighing up all the pros and cons between yourselves, without anybody else sticking their oar in. Angry Does Manshape know how you feel? Absolutely shocked that she would phone to make sure you took your pill! Shock

Well, DS is now in bed and DP is still asleep. Not good. I hate hate hate money. Sad Really hoping the ice cream van comes soon, because I need a fag like never before!

I can't believe that, Dee! That's so terrible. If someone rang me to tell me to take my pill, I don't know what I'd do, but I could probably be arrested for it Grin. You deserve a medal for being so tolerant Wink

My family know we're TTC (blabbermouth mum Angry), and they've all started gossiping about it. My cousin told me the other day that my aunty said I was "selfish" to try and have another baby considering how "stressful" it was to my mum when I got pregnant last time (various complications which were definitely more stressful for me than anybody else).

People should mind their own business.

Still no ERTD here, but also still no BFP. Maybe my cycle has decided to stop again for a few months... Hmm I'm definitely noticing lots of symptoms though, so fingers crossed.

nickelbabe · 14/02/2011 10:11

morning all!

jsut checking in - no news, but catching up on everyone elses.
dee silently tell your MIL to butt out (not to her face, obv, or you'll lose a baby-sitter! Wink )

BamBam21 · 14/02/2011 10:43

Morning everybody.

Glad ERTD still hasn't pounced babylann. I have my fingers crossed for you. It seems to have got me, and I feel really low. I'm not usually this bad, but I think the horrible weekend has something to do with it.

I still can't get over your MIL dee! I think I would have exploded by now!

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 14/02/2011 15:49

Oh God, I need a slap with a kipper! My ERTD hasn't materialised 24 hours after spotting, which is unheard of for me, and at a week early, I can't help crossing everything, although it is clearly to early to test... which didn't stop me... BFN obviously.

Found out today that another teacher in my department is pregnant, due in September, which means if I am pregnant as well we will both be off, taking two teachers out of Maths, when we are already one down. That only leaves HoD and an NQT... would not enjoy telling the boss... But would still by far prefer to be pregnant than not!

How can I stop thinking about this? I have no idea how I managed to teach today, my brain is at that stage where I may just shout out BABIES at any given moment! Hmm

BamBam21 · 14/02/2011 16:36

I definitely have my fingers crossed for you Lizzy! It's so distracting though when it's all you can think about. Have you any other symptoms? (Sorry if I'm encouraging the madness! Grin)

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 14/02/2011 16:50

Not really got any other symptoms, other than if this was going to turn into ERTD I would be usually am in excruciating pain...

I am totally mental, and will definately POAS in the morning, its all I can do not to do it again now!

BamBam21 · 14/02/2011 17:01

I'm excited to know how it goes Lizzy! Another BFP is just what we need to keep our JSing spirits up here! Grin

ERTD still hasn't come on properly here, but I'm convinced it will, as my boobs are sore and that's normal for me.

Anyone preparing for any nice Valentine's things tonight? We are having a quiet one, but it should still be nice! Wink

crowette · 14/02/2011 17:16

Hallo Ladies!!

Fingers crossed here Lizzy :)

Am on the 2WW now ... holding out no hope whatsoever still Grin

As for Valentine's ... I'm just out of the bath, all fresh(ha!) faced, damp (sexy?) hair and wearing my lovely satin chemise for when OH gets in, in about 15 mins!!

We're ordering an Indian takeaway, and having a massage later. No gifts, just token cards.

BamBam21 · 14/02/2011 17:59

Sounds great crow! Wink Have a lovely time.

crowette · 14/02/2011 18:22

ha! well that WAS the plan Hmm

OH got in 30 mins late, is bunged up, doesn't want Indian or made no comment on how I was dressed and is currently crashed out on the sofa with the cat.

Fuck sake.

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 14/02/2011 18:54

Sorry Crow men can be so oblivious when it comes to making an effort!

I think I got a BFP this afternoon!Shock It was teeny tiny, and very faint and has now disappeared altogether, but I'm pretty sure I saw it! Now I'm really scared because its such early days, and I almost wish I hadn't noticed the implantation bleed so I wouldn't worry about it for a few more days. I'm going to leave it for 48 hours and do another one in the hope that its a darker line eek!

Thanks for the support, don't know what I'd do without this thread, and I really mean that!

crowette · 14/02/2011 20:01

Eeeeek Lizzy!!! Definitely do another, but yes wait to give the chance for the line to go darker. Everything crossed for you here (aaprt from legs of course Grin in true JSing style!)

Well, OH is feeling better - we've decided to have pizza delivered instead, as we don't actually have the menu for the Indian, lol! We've been across the road and got beer, and I've ordered the pizzas. He's in the bedroom writing out my card, seems like it's another essay!

We may get some JSing in!

NervousNelly · 14/02/2011 21:28

Evening viroids :)

Lizzy - eeeeeek! That's exciting. Suggest a PIAR first thing tomorrow morning. I hope you were right!

Crow - glad your OH has come round Wink. See my earlier post about OH nursing his lemsip. Mind you, I've had plenty of times where I've been overlooked in favour of sleep/Call of Duty/illness/Call of Duty/alchohol/COD, you get the picture Hmm. Fingers crossed V-day will be enough of an incentive, then we'll have managed days 9,11 and 13 - our best yet Grin.

Dee - holy shit I'd be spitting bricks right now Angry. What an interfering old witch Shock.

Had to get another few x-rays for my horse today. last week there were lots of male vets around to help, but today just me plus female vet. We were both wearing lead aprons, but assuming I got PG this month, the fact that it was pre-OV means it's irelevant, right? .

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 14/02/2011 21:50

Lizzy - much as i love a good PIAR, please wait until your period is due!
then you'll know for certain....

MrsDollFace · 14/02/2011 22:08

Evening viroids, I said I said evening viroids! Hint towards my name change. I was the big bird but posted a bit too much info hence all deleted posts. Off to catch up

MrsDollFace · 14/02/2011 22:10

Yay lizzie !

babylann · 14/02/2011 22:37

Happy Valentines, fellow SWIers.

I'm starting to get a bit confused about all this! 2 BFNs, hundreds of pg symptoms and no ERTD signs (apart from the occasional "tightening" which brings back memories of pg1). I don't understand! I haven't even had PMS, and I'm now "late" but still BFNs.

I'm really hoping my periods haven't just vanished again. But I'm sure that was down to stress last time, and now I'm not stressed!

Nelly, I'm sure you'll be fine. Have to admit I don't know what lead aprons are, or why they'd pose a risk, but first time I got pg it was in the same month that I had a chest Xray and an MRI, and I took the test the day after a massive bottle of wine (or three), and I was a pretty heavy smoker, with a terrible diet. None of those things caused any problems to DD.

(Disclaimer: I didn't carry on my crazy lifestyle of booze, fags and xrays after getting my BFP, obviously!)

Keeping fingers crossed for another BFP for you, Lizzie!

BamBam21 · 15/02/2011 09:22

Morning ladies!

Lizzy that's so exciting! I know I should tell you to wait til ERTD is due, but I know you'll ignore me anyway! Wink Grin

Nelly I'm sure you'll be fine. The lead apron will have protected you, and as you say, as it's such early days in your cycle you will be fine.

Love the new name MrsDoll!

(waves to other viroids)

crowette · 15/02/2011 09:38

Good Morning!!

How are we all?

babylann I know how frustrating that is - fingers crossed for an answer soon.

Well, no JSing last night - both too knackered Blush we're getting old Grin so how would we manage with a baby getting us up at all hours?? Lol! No big deal, not in our window anyway, so would have just been a bonus shag.

Still gulping down the pineapple juice just in case there is anything to help implant in there. Am promising myself not to symptom spot this month - not working though, already noted slightly tender boobs, but then again I had horrendously sore boobs last time and still AF turned up ... hey ho.

Just had Sky HD installed a few minutes ago, so am trying to tear myself away and get ready for work!
