Jump on if you are a TTCer hoping that this cycle is 'the one' and will result in a sprog or sprogette due in November.

Welcoming season ticket holders and new passengers.

Ding ding!

Hello everyone - can I join?

I came off the pill at the end of December and have had one period since. AF is due (hopefully) 21/2.

TTC#1, AF due 21/2

Good luck everyone!

cep · 13/02/2011 18:45

welcome london hope this is a lucky bus for you.

ghosteditor · 13/02/2011 20:06

welcome london and hi everyone else!

MummyMuddy · 13/02/2011 20:09

Good Evening Ladies! Can I squeeze on the November bus please?

First post on MN - you look like a lovely bunch so thought I'd finally bite the bullet & stop stalking reading everyone else's posts and join in!

Umm, I hope I have this right:
AF arrived today soooo CD1?
TTC#2, UCL 32 days, cycle 2.

Was 100% Hmm certain that I was pregnant this month but obviously imagining the signs: chronic insomnia, nausea, constant visits to the loo, skin break outs..!!

I really want to chill out this month as my DH does not perform well under pressure Blush so I need to stop talking about TTC in RL and discuss with you lovely, understanding ladies instead!

Wishing you all of you BFP's this month xxx

ghosteditor · 13/02/2011 20:20

hola muddy ! yes that all sounds right, welcome to MN.

fx for a BFP next time for you!

FluteyBoots · 13/02/2011 20:31

I just ordered some sticks and a thermometer off Amazon. Feel slightly excited/nervous.

DH keeps asking me hopefully if "the window is still open". Having SWI 4 times this week despite DS being very wakeful, I just told him it's just closed. Had forgotten how exhausting nightly shagging is, to think some folk are like this all the time!
Haven't read any of my book this week :o

cep · 13/02/2011 20:42

welcome mummy my dh is the same.

flutey very Envy of the nightly action there, i'm lucky if dh can arrive at the finish line once every 4 days.

FluteyBoots · 13/02/2011 20:55

Nah, rather have my book and a Brew. That's it till next month now :o

BlueCrane · 13/02/2011 21:08

Evening all and welcome to the new travellers Smile

Think my DH is quite enjoying all the SWI as we never managed it much more than once a week before TTCing! Though I must say that the 'mechanical' we must do it on Tuesday wasn't quite so good for either of us Blush!!

Tempted to order some cheap POAS from amazon in readiness for the 2ww but wondering whether I'll be able to hold off testing so much if they're in the house?! But spent a small fortune on tests last month and can't keep that up!! Can anyone recommend good ones to get from amazon or eBay?

DoFliesHaveKnees · 13/02/2011 21:37

These are the ones I bought, although when I bought them last week they weren't as cheap!!

xstitch · 13/02/2011 22:22

Not for 10 days cep so unless I ovulate really late then no chance for this month :(.

MummyMuddy · 14/02/2011 08:02

Mmmm thanks for the chocolate brownie BlueCrane

If I have read the previous posts correctly am I right in thinking that ghosteditor and Auntie Doris are due to poas this week? (I hope I haven't missed any further updates since.)Keeping my FX for both of you! Smilex

cep · 14/02/2011 08:59

xstitch oh how frustrating. How far has he gone?? driving distance or foreign? if in uk (reasnable distance not from one side of country to other) why not suprise him. Or if abroad could you afford to fly over for the weekend/couple of days.

ghosteditor · 14/02/2011 09:29

hi muddy you're right!

I'm on CD 24 today, last cycle was 25 days though usually it's 28. After some dithering on another thread I caved to the bad influence of MN tested this morning, but BFN.

Feel pretty ok about it but am expecting to see AF any day now. Just not sure how I'll tell DH when AF arrives - I have said many many times that people don't usually conceive right away and I think he knows that rationally, but he is still convinced he has super-sperm!

Iggly · 14/02/2011 12:42

Don't buy them Blue! or you'll do what I did, pee on loads last month for nothing. Well I caved and POAS today and saw (I think) the faintest of faint faint lines. I think if I squint it's just visible. So I've decided it's not a BFP if you can only see it at a certain angle. So will wait until the weekend when AF is almost due before wasting my last CB test.

That's funny ghost my DH also thinks the same about his sperm Hmm

Iggly · 14/02/2011 12:53

Had another look. Can't see the line so must have been going mad Blush

ghosteditor · 14/02/2011 13:26

iggly have massive sympathy for the imaginary line, genuinely thought a line was showing up today, but then it completely disappeared, so must have been fabricating it completely! In my defence it was my first ever test Grin

Fx for you at the weekend.

xstitch · 14/02/2011 13:28

He is in the UK cep but 100s of miles away and dd is at school. I have just worked out that his holidays next month should coincide with ovulation fx.

cep · 14/02/2011 14:29

iggly don't be embarrassed about faint lines, i was almost convinced i was pg last cycle cause my af was so much lighter and was very similar to bleed i'd had when last pg.

xstitch sorry for this month but fx for next.

lalabaloo · 14/02/2011 14:30

Hello London and Muddy Hope you get your BFPs Ghosteditor and Iggly

I'm feeling strangely calm atm about TTC, I am CD15 out of 32 day cycle so better cook DH a good valentines day meal tonight!

Just wondering, what do people think of conceive plus? I'm considering using it to help the little swimmers along a bit but don't want to waste £15 and a trip to another town to buy it (no way am I buying it here, I live in Gossipville!) I'm only on cycle 2 of TTC so I don't want to waste money if this will be "my month" anyways, but on the otherhand I don't want to wait six months and then find out it is amazing and works! Maybe since DH hasn't bought me flowers he could get me some conceive plus instead? V romantic!

BlueCrane · 14/02/2011 14:38

iggly already ordered I'm afraid! But I figured that 25 POAS for less than £5 would help keep me saner than last month where I must've easily spent £20+ and got v stressed out by not testing and waiting to test and about the amount of money I was peeing on when I did test!!! Grin Typically I'll probably get a BFP this month now I've bought so many of the things...a bit of reverse psychology is never a bad thing though Wink!

lalabaloo I've just stuck with folic acid for the moment as couldn't work out which one of the multi-vits was best and they really are quite expensive! Was thinking I would look into it if AF comes again this month though so will be interested to see what people recommend!

lalabaloo · 14/02/2011 14:43

Hi BlueCrane Sorry I should have said that conceive plus was a lubricant, but I have had the exact same dilemma with vitamins as well and have done the same as you for the time being since the ones that look the most promising are so expensive and I've no idea how long I might be taking them for! Also, if I started taking them I would be too scared to stop in case I was harming my chances! Honestly TTC has turned me into even more of a nutcase!

amummyinwaiting · 14/02/2011 15:06

Just wanted to say thank you for your messages. I haven't been back on mumsnet since af started so it was really nice to read your msgs today.
Dr thinks everything is fine and we've just got to bide our time as I had bloodtesets last september and all was good.
I'm taking myself off mumsnet for a bit as I am finding it all a bit upsetting getting my hopes up and then having them dashed, and also seeing other people get what I so desperatly want.
I wish you all the luck in the world and hope to be back on here soon when I am feling better and stringer.
Thank you for all being so supportive and lovely
amiw

BlueCrane · 14/02/2011 15:07

lalabaloo Blush Hmm should really have guessed that they weren't vitamins when you suggested DH getting it as a valentines gift Grin!! Am sure TTC really does send you slightly very crazy!

lalabaloo · 14/02/2011 15:15

BlueCrane Hehe i'm not sure either is particularly suitable as a valentines gift to be honest! But it definitely does, and you can't even tell anyone why!
