Morning all
I think there's a comment to be made here about our obsession with POAS.
Going back to HopeCalvary's post about how much HcG each test can detect, I think the Internet cheapies and many others are a waste of money and probably cause us more stress than relief. It sounds like many of us have had 'maybe' results over the last week, and not everyone has turned out to be PG.
Since Friday I've been testing everyday with an IC to see if the line is getting stronger or whether it's still a faint line. It wasn't getting stronger at all, so this morning I did both the IC and the more expensive First Response early result pregnancy test (which claims to pick up PG 6 days before your missed AF date). I did an FR last Friday and had a very faint line. Today, with the FR early result pregnancy test, I am happy that I have a BFP - 30 days since my last AF. However the IC still has a very faint line. So I can see that the FR test really has picked up the increased hormone levels, whereas the IC hasn't.
So there seems to be a quality rather than quantity lesson for me, when it comes to tests. This is definitely a matter of personal preference, but I think I would have been better off saving my money and practising a little more self-discipline when it came to POAS.
queenrollo good luck at your GP appointment, I can't begin to imagine how frustrated you must feel at not getting a result yet.
Best wishes for those remaining, and I hope there's as much camaradery on the December bus.
This has been a nice bus to ride on, and a nice introduction to the support that MN can offer. I'm still being a bit superstitious and am not ready to jump on the pregnancy thread, but I think I'm getting off here.
