Jump on if you are a TTCer hoping that this cycle is 'the one' and will result in a sprog or sprogette due in November.

HOORAY!!! Congratuations Lou that's fantastic! I remember last time lining up my BFPs and admiring the way they got darker every day Grin

So sorry to hear of your accident ghost that sounds horrid - hopefully you'll have some good news soon to take your mind off it Smile

Still no sign of AF here, despite the dreaded cramping and general irritableness, just wish I could get it over with Confused...also just ate a chocolate brownie (which I usually love) and it tasted of nothing. Not impressed AF, not impressed at all!

Poppyjen · 13/03/2011 15:01

PS ghost still on the bus but busy putting my coat on, finding my ticket and gathering up belongings in anticipation of transfer to December bus... Wink

Poppyjen · 13/03/2011 15:06

oh and just did due date calculator...if I start AF today (which feels like I will) and we manage it next cycle my due date will be CHRISTMAS DAY Shock

ghosteditor · 13/03/2011 15:23

thanks poppy and heehee, a christmas day due date! I have a cousin born on Dec 27th, guess it's a bit rubbish as I always think I can deal with sending a card after christmas but actually there's no time! As things go though it's not really a big deal! Hope you get a BFP this time but if not then fx for next month for you despite the estimated due date Grin

dollysgirl · 13/03/2011 18:49

hi girls!! im still on GHOST,if i recall my cycle is v.similar to yours ?? af is due 19th-nxt sat but i have af pain as normal 1 week before, but i have been v.tired and backache...we managed swi more than ever this mth but missed day 11 which was the day i got a positive opk rssult, but we did days 12-16 so im hoping we did it...tho i fear not
GHOST im also day 23 of an average 28 day cycle-though mine too varies from 25-30 days.annoyingly!!when will you test? im thinking monday cos i dont want bad news on or before mothers day!!
POPPY are u still on the nov bus?? i know what you mean, but i always think when af arrives, that, well, heres another go at it!!but its not over honey! fx for you-and toes!

dollysgirl · 13/03/2011 18:50

i mean 1 week tomorrow,not this monday for testing-sorry

Poppyjen · 13/03/2011 19:09

Thanks dollysgirl, I am still on the Nov bus....just...Smile No AF yet but no BFP either Sad

Just hopped on the Dec bus too, hedging my bets Wink

ghosteditor · 13/03/2011 20:13

hi dolly, great, one more person to try to stay sensible with! We didn't manage much SWI at the right times as DH was away until the very last day of what should be the fertile time, so it's all a bit unlikely. Also nice to know that we're on the same time scale!

If AF doesn't turn up on Friday (that's a big if!) then I will test at the weekend. Don't have any tests at the house and I am on crutches at the moment with a cast on my foot, so I can't drive. DH will be home at the weekend so he'll have to take me to buy a test if it's needed! He'll also be away during the week so I'd rather he was there.

Sigh.

dollysgirl · 13/03/2011 20:38

Oh dear yes i read about your accident, hope your ok and taking it easy, sounds painful !hey your in with a good chance though, you managed some mid-cycle SWI so heres hoping....and you're slightly irregular like me,so who is to say it wasnt at the right time ??
I dont feel pg at all,so i will find it easier to hold off testing cos thinking i could be pg is a lot nicer than knowing im not!! if you get me...i kind of have that philosophy every month,so im quite good at holding off testing...my boobs arnt sore and i remember with DD1 they were awfully sore, maybe its a bit early for any symptom spotting...

dollysgirl · 13/03/2011 20:42

POPPY- are you usually regular? sorry im a bit out of touch ive been offline a week or 2 and im playing catch up...

Poppyjen · 13/03/2011 20:46

Nope. I have PCOS and went straight on the pill after finishing BF DS so I haven't had a non-pill-induced AF since before I was pregnant with him.

But when we conceived him (1st cycle trying), I was bang on a 35 day cycle from the date I ovulated so I am guessing it will be the same this time, although I didn't use the ov sticks this time so there is a small chance I could have ov'd even later than I thought. We'll see Wink

queenrollo · 13/03/2011 20:51

nothing to report here. no symptoms at all - so expecting this to be like my last cycle and AF will be here some time this week. currently 12dpo.

Poppyjen · 13/03/2011 21:42

12 DPO is still early queen and I didn't have any symptoms with DS until about 7 weeks or so (so didn't think I was pregnant even with the BFP...Blush) Have you POAS at all?

Fx for you! Smile

Pee74 · 13/03/2011 22:08

Hi, know it's right at the end of the Nov bus, but have been following everyone on their journey this month and finally got the courage to add my comment.

We are TTC number 3 and having found it very easy with DDs 1 and 2, are now struggling. Still having SWI at what I think are the right times (this month days 9, 12, 14 15 adn 17)but nothing happening. Anyway, AF due on sunday and am feeling the usual low level achiness that could be pregnancy but most likely ot be signs of AF. I get all the signs of pregnancy (except nausea) up to 10 days before AF due so keep getting hopeful and then the dreaded AF arrives with mega pains. Spend hours in the days before, staring at my boobs in the mirror trying to see any changes and other silly things, hoping for signs and then berating myself for havign got my hopes up.

Anyway -been nice reading your ups and downs during the past month - has definitely made me feel more normal, given me a laugh etc, so thank you. Wishing you all lot sof luck for the rest of this month and the coming months ahead.

Poppyjen · 14/03/2011 07:47

So...had a large glass of Wine last night to help come to terms with AF's anticipated arrival...still nothing this morning but have run out of internet cheapies so did one of my clearblues just for the hell of it.

Faintest faint line.

Blush

Is hard to accept that it is a bfp though as I feel like I have POAS so many times that I may be seeing things that aren't there. I think I will pop out to buy a FR later to double check. Also still feel like AF is only one wipe away (sorry TMI!)

Watch this space...

PS just had to check it again before posting this to make sure I am not going mad. Well I can still see it....Confused but still not convinced

hopeful1 · 14/03/2011 12:07

Hi All,

Poppyjen - I was born on December 30th and hate my christmas birthday but would still have a christmas birthday myself, no logic there I know!! I am also the same as you. I did a pregnancy test (FR) this morning 13 days post IUI and have a faint but visible line. Refuse to get my hopes up but will test again in the morning.

Do feel very tired, have had lots of back pain but also really bad period pain.

Now cant concentrate on anything today, sitting at work on MN instead!!

Good luck to all those yet to test.

Will let you know outcome of tomorrows POAS.

lovenamechange100 · 14/03/2011 12:42

I have lurked a lot as I am trying not to get too wrapped up in going over everything. But I need to ask

Can someone just tell me how often we need to be BDing - I have got to the point where Ive read too much and just getting fed up and confused. I am 36 next month too officially part of the over 35 stats now for older mums. C'on give me a crtique:

CD 12 BD
CD 13
CD 14 BD ovulation test positive
CD 15 BD ovulation test v strong postive
CD 16 (ran out of ovulation tests)
CD 17 (today) plan to BD

I suppose I am just feeling guilty as we didnt do it lastnight and berating myself that weve missed the magic 12hours of the ovum? Am I being silly are we timing it correctly?

I also bought some sperm friendly lube stuff from Boots and this has helped with my ladydoors Blush

louboutinslover · 14/03/2011 13:14

yay poppy. sounds like a bfp in the making to me!!! My first one on friday was really faint but they are getting stronger every day so sure it's gonna be the same for you Grin

ghost that accident sounds terrible! Hope you feel better soon.

As symptoms are getting stronger and stronger for me now, and AF is due only tomorrow, I think I will brave the clear blue didgital test in the next couple of days just to get the final confirmation.

Am gonna move into the Nov 2011 thread now but will keep checking in on you guys to see the good news coming in :) Hope to see you ladies very soon.

louboutinslover · 14/03/2011 13:16

hopeful1 yay! looks like there are a couple of BFPs in the making then :)
good luck, ladies!

bornofdust · 14/03/2011 13:50

I dunno. BFPs, we wait for ages on this bus and then they all seem to come at once!

ghost ouch! Rest up and try not to go too stir crazy over the next week.

lovenamechange I don't think there's a hard and fast rule (oo-err!) when it comes to frequency, but obviously the more you can fit it in, the better. I think the MNsite says the seven days pre OV are the most important, whereas the NHS site says make sure you are SWI 2-3 times every week. I guess that's not much help is it?

Poppyjen and louboutinslover I think I may be in the same boat as you, however I'm being a bit wary. This is going to be a longwinded backtrack, but bear with me:

Remember on Wednesday I had a faint line, but then had a bleed in the afternoon? I thought it was AF, but she hasn't turned up but I've had a bit of bleeding every afternoon since. I chatted to a friend on Thursday who told me a) to keep testing as she had an ectopic and I needn't to be aware and b) she has a friend who has bled on and off for the first 11 weeks, but everything is fine. Either way, she was trying to say until Af shows don't write it off yourself off...

So I took one of the expensive FRs out of the box on Friday morning when DH was back home and there was another faint line. DH agreed with me and confirmed that my baby-crazed brain wasn't making it up. I spoke to my doctor that afternoon about my concern that it might be ectopic, He's normally awful, but he was very nice and pointed out that it's more likely to be implantation bleed (it was 11-12 dpo).

Feel very Blush.

Looking back, my cycle has been very disrupted since the start of the year and I think that instead of my cycle going into a 22-day mode, I actually had a couple of very early miscarriages. I asked the doctor about this and he said it's not unusual.

So while there's a faint line, it doesn't feel like a BFP. More like a P. So I'm not going to put myself on the November due date thread just yet. I'm going to keep testing every day until I get a 100%, no disputing it, ringing affirmative BFP. And possibly not until I've been to the doctor's for my first pregnancy check. Confused

But fingers crossed, our beans stick!

bornofdust · 14/03/2011 13:52

My grammar and ability to proofread my own posts has gone to pot.

Could this be an early sign of hormones?!

Sorry for the errors, rushing to get it all down before lunch is over!

Poppyjen · 14/03/2011 14:08

Thanks all!

born I am feeling the same way. I think I need to see a much more obvious bfp before I will allow myself to be excited Confused. Hopefully we'll both be joining lou on the November 2011 thread soon!

I know I shouldn't do this but I have been googling "faint thin line on clearblue" and all sorts of horridness comes back about false positives etc. It's got me all worried...the line is very obvious just thinner than the horizontal control line.....[step away from the computer emoticon]

lou what did your line look like on the clearblue? If thin, did it keep getting thicker?

Honestly you'd think that second time around I would be less neurotic and obessed but if anything it has got worse Blush

Also completely off topic wanted to share my happiness that my DS' top right front tooth has finally come through Grin he's currently making shiver-inducing teeth grinding noises...so proud so proud Wink

louboutinslover · 14/03/2011 14:21

Poppy: dont worry about what the line looks like as long as it's there it has got to be detecting the hormone!! Mine was same width as control line even on friday but just fainter. Today, again it's the same width and nearly the same dark blue colour. Expecting same darkness tomorrow or so as AF due tomorrow.
born yay! Another bfp in the making Grin

Today is teh first day I am lettingmyself get a bit ecited about this. have now had 4 BFPs so feel it's ok now. Know what you guys mean though, about wanting the proper BFP. Had mine today and has made such a difference to my confidence...

Cant wait to read your good news tomorrow morning :)

louboutinslover · 14/03/2011 14:21

blimey, my spelling is hideous too today!

louboutinslover · 14/03/2011 14:38

My addictive personality just took over Blush and I had to take my clear blue digital, despite drinking tons of decaf tea and juice today. Guess what girls?? It says pregnant 1-2 weeks oh my goodness. that confirms it. soo excited now. Grin
Hoepfuly see u all ina couple of days on the nov 2011 thread.
