hope , oh that's rubbish, sorry, I was meaning to ask about that. However it's a good sign that AF still hasn't arrived! Is there any indication on the packaging of how sensitive the Tesco digital tests are? I bought some cheapies from Sainsbury's and I couldn't find the mIU/ml. The round up you gave was v helpful and illuminating, thank you!

HopeCalvary · 10/03/2011 16:47

I couldn't find it written on there, but I will have another look lol. My opinion on if I am pregnant changes so much. The trouble is, early pregnacy feels a lot like really bad period pain.

I remember I kept rubbing my lower back thinking I'd done myself some damage. I kept wearing pads, but it never came. I just thought I'd run my body down. So sometimes I think 'oh, period pains, must be coming soon!' then sometimes I think 'this pain is just like the first time. Really sore lower and mid back, period like pains, not particulary sore boobs but heavy. Metal taste (though maybe I'm imagining that!) Sore gums! For sure!

Fainty when I get up (maybe it's my cold and my silly damp walls (we are moving soon!)

Vague = I feel a bit vague about everything...

Tired. I could easily have a kip every day and still sleep at night.

I don't normally have this bad cramping more than 12 hours before a period, and I've had it really bad for at least 48 hours....

See how vague I am, lol there is no structure to this post!!!

I am also interested in the fact that the tesco test is one that you slot in. So when you slot it out, it has a second very faint line...

Is this just the way the test works? When you are used to doing non digital, it can be confusing!

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 09:15

Hi ladies

still no good news for me. I keep thinking I can see something on the internet cheapies but nothing on the FR. By my calculations I think I am 13dpo, although there is a chance I could have ovulated a bit later, but definitely no less than 11dpo.

Also feeling distinctly premenstrual, a bit crampy and totally miserable. Not sure I can maintain any positivity Sad. Could be partly due to horrendous night with DS who is full of a cold but suspect I am just playing a waiting game now...

Sorry for me me me post, hope there is some happier news out there Smile

dollysgirl · 11/03/2011 10:34

HI ladies!!-ive been offline for a while so have had my first chance to catch up with everybody today...im just entering week 2 of the 2ww,af is due 19th march and ive managed to swi more than ever this mth-tho wasnt able to the night i got a +ve on ovulation predictor, but dir for 4 nites after so heres hoping-i have af pain already tho :-(
congrats to busyboysmum!! fx for everybody who is in the 2ww,its awful isnt it...im going to wait till cd 28 to test tho-havnt bought any and refuse to waste money (yeah right!) lol

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 11:59

Very sensible! I think testing before af is irresistable but most often a big waste of money! Poppyjen, I felt premestral at 13dpo, but now I'm almost certain I'm pregnant I'm 16dpo no period, but alson no bfp, though I didn't do one this morning.

I have waves of nausea, a cloudy head, often when I get up, I'm a little faint but not every time. I have a full feeling in my abdomen, achey pain in my lower back and mid back. Sore gums when I brush, a metal taste in my mouth (this I'm not always sure of) I'm tired but it's harder to tell this time that I'm tired as before I was working 14hour shifts in a busy bar. Now I'm at home with my 2 year old and ofc you get to sit down a bit more.

And dollysgirl You never know!

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 12:10

Fingers crossed for you Hope - thanks for your encouraging words Smile

Good luck dollysgirl

As for me, I still feel like AF could arrive at any moment but no sign yet so I am trying to keep busy to avoid thinking about it (failing obviously as I am on here....Blush) I know that the game's not up yet!

Just weighing up whether we should try again next cycle if this isn't our month - not sure what I feel about December birthday. Logic says that happy healthy baby is what matters regardless of time of year and of course that's the case but Christmas time can be an awkward time for a birthday....hmmm Confused. Any thoughts? (I know this was raised earlier in the thread but missed that discussion, sorry!)

louboutinslover · 11/03/2011 13:21

Hiya ladies!
nearly the weekend! Hurrah.
Still got the same syptoms of achy back, sore boobies, nausea, lightheaded etc. Did a clear blue this morning but not with FMU, silly me. I think I got a very very very faint line on it but it then disappeared so thinking it was just a fluke thingy. Oh well. hasnt stopped me from getting my hopes up though! Am bound to be heading for a big thud back to reality by tuesday when AF is due.

Could all of this really just be due to coing off pill? Have any of you had experience in that? Was only on it for 4ish months...

Hope sounds soo promising for you. Keeping all my FX that it's good news for you soon and of course for all you others who are testing soon. poppyjen you are not out of the running yet! Good luck to dollysgirl

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 13:52

I must say as I was weeing on a stick the other morning, I couldn't help thinking that several women around the country were also doing it and then going to write about it later lol A movie montage with music sort of played in my head...

Anyway, Christmas certainly makes things a bit arkward. But then again it could make it really special. Does anyone have a bday at Christmas? My friend used to get annoyed as everyone would forget his birthday or give him Christmas/ birthday presents instead of two a year.

Louboutinslover, that sounds a lot like pregnancy! And Poppyjen, you're right the game isn't up yet! hang on in there!!!! Let us know xx

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 13:52

Hi Lou (hope you don't mind me shortening your name like that Wink)

I am in the same position, cycle 1 after coming off the pill. I started taking it when DS was 5 months when I stopped BF, so I guess I had been taking it for 6 months. I have had lightheadedness, aching all over, cramps (at exactly the right time for ovulation and then a few days later implantation...) all in all feeling just like early pregnancy with DS. Hope its not just due to pill withdrawal...Confused so frustrating!

BUT My DS was conceived the cycle after I came off the pill, I had been on it (Yasmin) for about 9 or 10 months. This time I asked my GP whether there would be any issues with coming off the pill and ttc and she said that things should get back to "normal" straight away with no side effects.

I guess the jury is out Smile

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 13:59

sorry Hope crossed post Smile

I am coming round to the idea that this ttc lark is so arbitrary anyway perhaps I shouldn't try to plan birthdays etc too much. If it happens next month then I think we would be absolutely delighted and feel lucky that it happened so soon after we started trying. I guess that having a DC with a December birthday will be great if you make sure that the two celebrations stay as separate as possible.

My mum's birthday is Dec 15th and we always had to wait until after then to put the tree up, but this made it more exciting in a way....she's fed up now though as she's a year 2 teacher and always has to stress about school plays on her birthday Grin

What I am trying to say in a rambling sort of way is that as long as there is a birthday, it doesn't matter when it is Smile

louboutinslover · 11/03/2011 14:24

hey Poppy
dont mind at all! Oh my goodness. Your story is so like mine. I had the crampyness too at the supposedly right times! Well, definitely interesting to see what will happen to the two of us then. So annoying not knowing though, isnt it! Hmm When is your AF due?

I conceived DS1 in first cycle off the pill too so know it does happen! DS2 was conceived after 3 cycles. he is now 10 months so ready for number 3.
Oh, and Hope. Agree with Poppy in that any birthday is fab, no matter when it is :)

dollysgirl · 11/03/2011 15:40

HOPE-u do soung pg,fx for you,how long is your cycle ?
POPPY-i was convinced af was on her way with DD1,so af pain means nothing in my book,so fx!!
LOVER- sore boobs sound promising!! lol, something made that line appear, and like u said it wasnt fmu so hang in there its certainly not over, maybe wait 2 days to do another test-i know its easy to say :-s
and in the grand scheme of things it really doesnt matter when birthdays are!
GOOD LUCK TO U ALL LADIES!!X

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 19:28

Yes, I have to agree with all of you on the birthday front. Being born at all is far more important!

Dolly my cycle is 28 days. I was never on any kind of pill. I tried it two years ago, but didn't want to keep taking it. So I didn't have to worry too much about my cycle returning. Oddly. When I first got preg with my husband. We used a condom and it was a one off. And yet, condoms have protected us for two years on there own! lol

Hoping for you all! :)

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 20:08

Thanks everyone for encouraging words! Not feeling particularly positive tonight but still no AF so that's something Smile I am planning a busy weekend to keep my mind off things...

Lou I have PCOS so I don't really know when to expect AF, before I was on the pill (pre DS) it was extremely irregular. My withdrawal bleed began on 8th Feb and I think I ovulated on 26th/27th or 28th or so which would make AF due maybe Monday latest. Really not sure though which makes the waiting worse Confused

Needless to say I will be testing daily until she arrives, despite best intentions to leave it for a while...

Happy friday everyone! Grin

louboutinslover · 11/03/2011 20:57

Poppyjen: sending you tons of positive thoughts. Always good to keep busy!

Know what you mean about the not knowing when AF due cause of course this being my first cycle off pill, I am not really sure how quickly my cycles will return to normal....
My AF is due on tuesday so we can keep each other company :)
We can both POAS every day. FX that it's good news. You never knows [big grin]

Got parents in law coming over this wekend so I will be nicely busy too so hopefully less time to obsess.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and i will check in to see if any of you girls have some good new for us. :)

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 22:14

Thanks lou ! Smile you too! I'll let you know how it goes...

Have fun with your in-laws!

Good luck ladies, pee sticks at the ready (Blush) - let's have some positive news Grin

InnocentRedhead · 11/03/2011 22:21

Hi all, well what a month it has being for me, haven't being on for a while but not had internet access!

Read since i last posted but cant reply to everyone and everyone seems to have offered advice etc...

Well i was due on 4/3 and still no AF or BFP and it is KILLING me! Sod the 2WW try taking the 3WW, its hell :'( had PM symptoms and some that are not PM symptoms, my bodies a mess and now is my mind!

Hope everyone ok xx

HopeCalvary · 12/03/2011 00:14

Hi InnocentRedhead I didn't get my result until I was 6 weeks pregnant, the first time. So sometimes it just takes a while!

HopeCalvary · 12/03/2011 00:17

I could have been 8 weeks, it's debatable :)

HopeCalvary · 12/03/2011 07:52

Red tide of dooom????!!!! Think I may have started af just as I went to bed last night. And when I got up this morning it has stopped! Brown and pink with little tiny incy bits. So so confused. Didn't do test. Didn't want to waste it.

I am so confused and if it's my period, feel a bit wacky for having felt all those symptoms. To be honest it feels like a trick has been played on you. And it's kind of humiliating!

I totally give out the love to everyone who has gone through this and continues to do it. You are brave women, even if you are feeling that no-one understands. We understand! It's so hard to get your hopes up, and it's the waiting! And the having to do it on the right days!

My husband told me I need to relax about it. I should take his advice.

I will keep you informed.

HopeCalvary · 12/03/2011 11:55

Yeah, I think it's here. Loads of love to you lovely ladies and all the best! You have been such a great support to me, I may be back next month! I'm so sorry if I've confused any of you with my so called symptoms!! I so thought they were real, maybe I need help lol

Take care! xxxx

Poppyjen · 12/03/2011 16:46

Best of luck hope thanks for all of your kind words, you've been such a great support too! I don't know what I would do without you lovely ladies out there, it is so nice to know someone understands Smile. All out there in the non-MN world would be horrified if I started talking about EWCM and POAS Grin so thanks everyone for listening/reading!

Feeling resigned to the fact that I will be soon joining you and those on the December bus! No AF yet but no BFP either...we'll see how long she takes to show up...Confused

DH and I feeling quite excited about prospect of Christmas baby now so just want AF to hurry on up so we can try again Smile

Poppyjen · 13/03/2011 08:12

Anything Lou? Still BFN over here I am afraid. Just waiting for AF to arrive now so we can get back on track Smile Feeling ok about it today though...

Still FX for you though if your AF not due until Tuesday Grin

louboutinslover · 13/03/2011 09:24

Morning Poppy! Dont count yourself out til AF actually shows. You just never know! But even uf she does rear her ugly head, a December baby sounds very exciting too!

have now had BFPs on friday, saturday and sunday (stronger each day) so think this might actually not be a fluke :o cant believe it looks like it has actually worked first time round again! So excited but also nervous about the next 9 months.
Knowing me, I will keep testing for a good few days yet....

will keep checking in here to see how you get on. Off to make myself a decaf Brew now.

ghosteditor · 13/03/2011 14:38

that's great news lou - so pleased for you! and hope, any more news or are you sure it's AF?

I'm now on something like day 23 of an expected 28 day cycle - don't have many symptoms to speak of except had some odd pulling sensations last week and have been pretty tired (extremely tired at my match yesterday).

Unfortunately I went over on my ankle in my match yesterday and it went huge. Went to A&E this morning and the xray shows a small fracture so am currently in a cast and on crutches and no small amount of pain. Sad . am feeling pretty sorry for myself and won't be able to go into work for a while so this last 5 days before AF is due are not going to pass quickly!!!

who else is still on the bus? hope I'm not alone...
