Jump on if you are a TTCer hoping that this cycle is 'the one' and will result in a sprog or sprogette due in November.

Welcoming season ticket holders and new passengers.

Oh I see! lol. Grin

BlueCrane · 16/02/2011 22:35

oooh ghost I bet that hurt!

imps I kept a bit of a record on my last 2ww of how I was feeling which is helping this month as I'm feeling v bloated at the mo which last month I clearly thought was a 'sign' but actually I'm the same at the same point in my cycle this month so helping me not to over-obsess by keeping a record now!

Iggly · 17/02/2011 07:17

Blue that's a good idea to keep a record. I think I'm having the same (negative, pre AF) symptoms but doesn't stop me wanting to test every five minutes! I'm starting to realise that DH and I need to make more of an effort Grin

ghost what kind of training was this?!

googietheegg · 17/02/2011 08:36

(holds out thumb) can I hop on this bus? It's my first TTC cycle this Feb, but there's been a whole load of medical bollocks to get to this point...

What do I need to do now?!?

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 09:11

Morning googie , welcome to the bus. To put it frankly, um, get shagging! Grin

No AF for me yet, but BFN this morning so I guess that's it for this month. Sad

googietheegg · 17/02/2011 09:15

Hoooray! That I can manage! It's all the letters and numbers I'm confused by...

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 09:21

oh I see! well, to join the roll call we need to know your stats. Here's mine taken from the list as an example:

ghosteditor TTC#1 Cycle 1, CD8 UCL 21-28, AF due Feb 16th

which is my name, trying to conceive #1, first period in which trying to conceive, cycle day (counted from first day of period), usual cycle length in days, and date period due.

you don't have to join the list of course, just depends how much of a joiner you are really Wink

plus I think we should bin all of the CD/UCL rubbish as it never gets updated. Just date AF due is probably fine unless it varies massively.

welcome!

Iggly · 17/02/2011 09:38

BFN here too ghost. But with DS I didn't get a BFP until the day AF was due - testing early gave me BFNs. So there's hope!

Welcome googie! what was the medical stuff if you don't mind me asking?

googietheegg · 17/02/2011 10:02

googietheegg TTC#1 Cycle 1 CD23 UCL 29 - 31 AF Due Feb 25th

iggly my husband was taking low-dose methotrexate and we had to go through loads of tests to see if it was in his sperm before we could SWI

Wahey! I'm on my first bus!!

supadupapupascupa · 17/02/2011 10:03

BFN :( awaiting AF on Sunday and then here we go again TTC2 Cycle2

BlueCrane · 17/02/2011 10:10

Morning all...feeling super bloated today Hmm but that happened this time last month so not reading too much into it Wink! Having a nightmare day at work and this the next week is only going to get worse...at least it'll be a distraction from the 2ww though Grin. Did we have cakes on that trolley we put on the bus as I would like to have a cake binge...am sure they're proven to help with stress...as I clearly need to stay calm and collected if there's a chance that a small bean might be trying to find a home inside me Smile

BlueCrane · 17/02/2011 10:11

supadupa don't give up hope yet it's still v early to get a BFP!!

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 10:16

[commiserates with supadupa and iggly ]

Oh yes, there is cake on the trolley! Blueberry muffins, banana loaf, victoria sponge, chocolate fudge cake, and oatmeal and raisin cookies. I baked them all last night. Honestly.

MummyMuddy · 17/02/2011 10:22

Xstich I really do know how you feel about DP not understanding how conception works! My DH went away on work for 2 weeks and during that time I found out I had a BFP. I wanted to tell him face to face so kept it to myself for 10 days (goodness knows how!), when he got home I told him and he actually asked ?Is it mine??! Shock He couldn?t understand how I had fallen pregnant when he was away ? I had to then give him the bird & the bee?s talk which would have been appropriate for a 5 year old it was that simple! Grin

Hi to emsie and jiggle, googie! FX this is your month!

I just AF to disappear so that we can start moving towards SWI! In the meantime I?ll enjoy banana loaf with a Brew thanks ghost! Mmm, it?s been years since I?ve had banana loaf! Yum!

BlueCrane · 17/02/2011 10:52

ghost I am in awe of your baking skills Grin thank you!! Just having a Brew and some virtual choccie muffins yummy!!

supadupapupascupa · 17/02/2011 11:01

thank you, but i've been having spotting since ovulation quite heavy in parts which i think means i've lost the non sticky bean. I really don't feel pregnant either and knew before I tested with DS.
Still gutted though.

MumTumWanted · 17/02/2011 12:28

Right here we go ladies... Not been on for a while so apologies if i miss anyone...

I have EWCM ( i think ) first month monitoring this too so could be wrong...but OPK yesterday also negative got to wait til i get home this afternoon to POanotherS Grin Optimistic or deluded ? Is the temp thing a good sign ??? or just luck ! am i gona OV .....[mixture or emotions emoticon] Why oh why is it not friday could be heading for the pub for a lunch time Wine to steady nerves....

MumTumWanted · 17/02/2011 12:37

bluecrane ahhh massive apologies !!!!!! of course i meant would love to hear nothing more than you get a BIG FAT POSITIVE not BFn

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 13:06

mumtum Grin I never preview posts before sending, it's bound to happen to me at some stage too!

I get suuuuper grumpy if I don't exercise so it's best for all concerned that I get a regular dose of cardio! I fell at least four times in my match last week and it did make me wonder about what's best when pg. Most of my friends carry on playing for the first few months, though I do know one girl who stopped playing completely as it had taken her so long to conceive in the first place. I figure that because my body is used to it, carrying on for a while should be fine and my body will let me know if not.

I guess I'll have to tell my pilates instructor when the time comes as they recommend not doing pilates or doing modified exercises between 8-14 weeks. That'll be a bit weird! Getting a bit ahead of myself here though...

MumTumWanted · 17/02/2011 13:11

ghost i feel mortified i only hope bluecrane will forgive me......

Blush i feel i have now been thoroughly put to shame... Im v Envy of all the exercise you do but i agree that if your body is used to it then you should be ok... ( at least with this approach i do none now so i shouldnt shock my body by beginning it now ! )

Postive thinking is not getting ahead of yourself Wink.....

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 13:22

What I really want to do here is post a massive response about the joys of exercise but I'll rein myself in! May I just say, though, that there's something fun out there for everyone and getting a good dose of endorphins will make anyone feel better.

Also v. good for relieving period pains so I may need to keep this in mind tomorrow if AF decides to grace me with her presence Hmm

MumTumWanted · 17/02/2011 13:29

fx AF dosent arrive for you ghost

i guess i am slightly underestimating excercise as such... my DD has a pony and at only 11yo she struggles with the looking after ( mucking out poo picking etc) and also cant 'hack out' alone so i get to do all those jobs and a lot of walking next a ponyon the streets where i live! guess thats excercise in a way ???

Gave up riding myself when got BFP before xmas and have told those that know about the mc that am too worried about getting back on, its my just in case plan for if wheni get another BFP any time soon.. cant face the thought of giving up riding again if we succeed in TTC as it will make it obvious i am updiffed again if i need to stop... if you see what i mean ....

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 13:38

yes that's loads of good exercise! I have an extremely sedentary job so I need to make up for it with lots of running around, but it does mean that I get a lot of injuries. V. Envy of the pony btw (not the mucking out, of course!) - I love riding but haven't ridden regularly since before uni, as it's so expensive where I live now. Last time I rode (in NZ - so beautiful!) I had v bad knee pains, which is fallout from running, so I'm not even sure I could ride properly again.

bornofdust · 17/02/2011 14:00

Hello ladies

I've been lurking and stalking for several days and haven't had the courage to take my seat. In fact I think I just missed my stop and need to get off...

AF due on Tuesday but I've been bleeding on and off since last Tuesday. Not spotting, but not AF, I never realised how wide the grey area was. Or should that be pinky-reddy-browny area? Sorry if that's too graphic! But I've also been trying to keep a record of what's happening each day, to refer back to next month.

But this month, I am as clueless as Watson without Holmes. Going through all the stats, I know it's extremely unlikely that I'll get a BFP next Tuesday. I think I need to invest in one of the OPKs being referred to earlier.

But good luck to everyone still on and chin up to anyone feeling down, or battling with uninformed DPs or struggling to keep fantasy at bay. Just in case I don't speak again, I'll leave you all with some of my homemade pecan pies. They're pretty sweet, but I'll experiment ahead of next month to see if they're as good if you substitute the pecans for brazils.

PS Cep, thanks for clearing up my confusion about pink grapefruit juice. Because it followed a sentence about EWCM and two fingers, I had all kinds of things running through my head!

cep · 17/02/2011 14:37

afternoon all.

ghost also v Envy of xcise i do ziltch which i why i'm so over weight, i just don't have the energy by the time i come home from work and have ds. i'm too knackered (and no i don't really even chase round after him, he takes himself to the loo now)

born Hmm not sure i want to go there. Grin

mumtum ok do not rely purely on opk's. i have NEVER had a positive and i've tested twice a day from 2 days after my af through to temp peak. This was before mc as well so not just after. You can't really tell by temp either unless you're one of the few who get a dip before hand, temps only really tell you afterwards. CM is the best signal hence why some have been drinking the g/f juice and/or taking epo. Do as often as you can while you have ewcm. If you have regular cycles (sorry can't remember) you soon tend to learn approx when each cycle you should ov, so any random ewcm shouldn't fool you.

hello to everyone, sorry for any bfn's if they're early then you still have time. sometimes it can take a while for the hormones to be high enough to register, last time it took me several days after my af due day before i got a positive. (and i even had a odd af as well.)
