Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Hello??

Where's everyone gone?!

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 01/02/2011 19:44

lol, I'm here, but not got anything interesting to say! What do you want to talk about? I could tell you how sick I am of year 9 if you like...

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 20:08

tee hee - evening Lizzy. Year 9 can be shockers...not yet caring enough about GCSEs and too big to be scared easily.

DH is asking for the laptop, so I'm going to totter off for now.

My sister is doing well, but when I left her at about 6 at the hospital there wasn't a lot going on. Small contractions but not much movement.

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 21:09

Your poor sister Got2Dance, bet she's fed up by now!

My car is in the garage tomorrow so hopefully by tomorrw night it'll all be over and I can distract myself by going shopping and doing stuff in the house again

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 21:23

If it makes you feel any better Josie DH's car cost £300 for its service and mine is going in for its MOT on Mon.....grr!!

Look forward to your time off and making your home lovely.

babylann · 01/02/2011 22:05

Any update on your sister Got2Dance? I had a ridiculously long labour too, so can understand how she must be feeling (desperate!) It wasn't even the pain that got to me, it was the "urrgghh I just want this all to be over now!"

9 months is definitely too long.

PracticallyImperfectInEveryWay · 01/02/2011 22:24

How is your sister doing, G2D? I live in Brisbane (in answer to the question a couple of pages ago). It's also hot and humid and we had a power outage last night and we all had to lie there for a couple of hours sweltering with no fans etc working. Thankfully DD slept through it. But today I have a headache and feel nauseaus but I think it's a combination of it still being so humid and getting bugger all sleep last night.

We did manage to JS last night but now DH is away for 4 days with work so if I were to get pg this month (which I don't think I will) then it would have to be already done. I hate waiting!

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 08:35

Any update Got2Dance? Fingers crossed your MOT doesn't cost you through the roof!

My car should be ready by no later than 5.30pm so by then it'll all be good Grin And I will be dragging DH to Ikea after work to get the rest of our decorating stuff in Grin

Good luck Practically, got my fingers crossed for you

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 08:54

My new colleague just announced she's 5 weeks pregnant. I just cried my eyes out in the tearoom on my own and I don't think I can hold the tears off all day. It's obvious I've been crying, I'm so embarrassed

Sorry you were upset josie, seems a tad early for her to be announcing that sort of thing, wonder if boss asked her to. If I get pg, I will be keeping schtum until I know its stuck!

Don't be embarrassed about crying, no one will think anything of it I'm sure - just say its your time of the month or something if anyone says anything, usually works!

xx

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 10:21

Thanks Katie I honestly can't describe how I feel. I had a miscarriage years ago and I know it sounds daft but I feel as awful as I did then. I could really do with going home and being on my own but I'm stuck here till 7. I have banned myself from going anywhere alone today as when I don't have to hide my tears from people I can't stop them.

I certainly wouldn't be telling people this early if it was me, and I bloody wish she'd kept her mouth shut. She's only told us, no-one else will kow for a while. I keep thinking if I don't get pg soon, how will I cope watching her get bigger and actually looking pg SadSad

kateepie2 · 02/02/2011 10:23

What CD are you on Josie? Just a thought...

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 02/02/2011 10:24

I got a text this morning from my friend - DW has given birth and he delivered the baby! Shock

She was in her contractions, got ready to go to the hospital, but she couldn't move at all - and he went to help her, and the baby was crowning! So he had to deliver her himself.
Thay called 999 afterwards, and they sent a midwife along.
that was from 2am to about 5am.
Shock

:( Josie that you're feeling crap - I'm getting similar emotions now that the 3 babies have been born and after each one I get told "your turn nesxt, then!"
I know they mean well, but it makes me feel like such a fake.

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 10:37

Oh god Nickel, glad everything went ok! I hate when people say that, keep your bloody noses out!

Katie I'm CD26 but pretty sure nothing's happening. I might get DH to get me a test this afternoon as I hate that glimmer of hope, I know it sounds daft but if I see a BFN then at least I know and I'm not secretly hoping I'm pg in the back of my mind.

I can't get it out of my mind and everytime it pops back into my head I well up. Today is going to be a long day. I think I might actually have to go home

PracticallyImperfectInEveryWay · 02/02/2011 10:39

Sorry to hear you're so upset Josie. It has to be your turn soon, but in the mean time just keep posting here and know that others know just how you feel.

And if it helps, I had to tell my boss and 2 other people I worked closely with when I was 6 weeks pg with DD as I had horrendous all day morning sickness and spent much of the day on the work toilet floor (very disgusting but not much option!). So indulge in a bottle glass of wine tonight while you are still able and know that said colleague can't. It will be your turn soon!

PracticallyImperfectInEveryWay · 02/02/2011 10:41

x-post, ignore me saying your turn soon Blush

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 10:49

Smile Practically it's ok coming from someone on here who actually means it and knows how it feels to be at this stage

Does anyone have any tips for stopping boobs aching? Sat here at work and struggling to get anything done as all I can think about are my boobs hurting! Hmm

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 11:41

Sorry Katie, no idea. My boobs aren't big enough to ever ache Smile

babylann · 02/02/2011 12:44

I tend to just fold my arms and squash them, Katee. But depends what kind of pain it is.

NervousNelly · 02/02/2011 13:00

CD1 here. Ah how lovely to see ERTD again Hmm. and yet I'm still hoping I'm going to do a MilanoMun . right off to find a bungee jump or something. May as well :)

Kind of hoping you lot are quiet today! We are close to needing a new thread but surely it must be my turn? This is the 6th JS thread I've been on! Can't do it at work though as the copy and paste on iPhone would kill me and it!

Hope those feeling down manage to feel better soon. Found out on Sunday that a friend is pg. They didn't know if she would be able to but actually she got upduffed way quicker than expected. Obviously I am very happy for them. But I won't lie, I am also very Meh. So Meh.
