Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Hi ladies! It's taken me ages to catch up here - the viroids are a chatty bunch!

G2D and babylann - hugs to you both. Hope you are feeling more chipper.

Josie - feckin rip-off garages! Angry I hope you can get a better quote. DP and I never have money just now either, and we keep getting told that we shouldn't be TTC when we are so skint. So annoying. My parents were hardly the Rockefellers when DB and I were little!

Waves to all! Smile

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 10:34

Second opinion said the same SadSad

That's all my decorating money, xmas money and more all gone Sad We're saving up so we can cover all the bills during my maternity leave and we're behind on that to start with, now we'll be even more behind. If I'm not pg this cycle I may have to stop for a few months till we get back on track

Babylann glad you've got things sorted and hope you can get back into the swing of things pretty quick

deemented · 31/01/2011 10:48

Josie - what exactly is wrong? Manshape is handy with a car and if you let me know, he'll tell you the going rate and what it needs to be fixed. Often if you buy what you need and garage fit it, it works out cheaper.

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 10:53

Someone at work knows someone with a spare parts business so she's asking him for prices. The clutch is going to fall out. I need a new clutch kit and hydraulic bracket. They're charging £120 labour

deemented · 31/01/2011 11:00

Manshape reckons it sounds about right if they are buying their parts from somewhere like Eurocar parts - actually - get on their website yourself, put your car reg in and the bits you need, and they will tell you how much it is. Then go on ebay and have a look at clutch kits - we needed a new clutch on our car not so long back and managed to get a brand new one for just £60 - much less than what the garage wanted us to pay for one.

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 12:08

Pants. It found nothing when I searched for the bits I need but can definitely shop around, even if we save a little bit it's worth it. DH said he'll put half the money in so it's not too bad and we might still be able to get the wallpaper I wanted and some odds and sods. It'll be all right on the night

In other news, I feel sick and my boobs are aching (couldn't possibly be anything to do with the fact that I have been wearing push up bras for over a week Grin)

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 12:11

Josie sorry aboput your clutch - my little corsa had constant clutch problems and had the cable replaced several times - then it kept knackered completely and they decided that the gearbox needed replacing - £600! Shock

Had to get rid of the car.
If you can find a little independent garage, it might be cheaper.
And think of it as a long-term thing - once your clutch is replaced, that's it for at least 10 years.

babylann - hope your DH is okay now - just jitters, i'm sure.

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 12:12

Got2Dance - i'm sorry you're having such a hard time of it all at the moment.
It's good to get it all out, though, so please don't let anyone feel that your emotions are unjustified, cos that might make it worse in the long run.

Got2Dance · 31/01/2011 12:21

Thanks Nickel - I'm feeling more myself now. A sick day is prob what I need and day 1 is always the hardest. My aunt was really sweet - she said what I'm going through is probably the hardest thing I ever will. So was full of sympathy. She said it's unlikely I'd feel quite this crap again. And bear in mind that my mum (my aunts sister) has terminal cancer, so she isn't being flippant when she says this is one of the hardest things!!

Rotten news on the car Josie - glad your DH is helping out and you'll still be able to get your wallpaper! Cars are just so expensive. One of ours is in the garage today having its service - a bit scared what the bill is going to be.

babylann · 31/01/2011 12:35

We don't even have a car, they're so expensive. And I hadn't even factored in potential repairs (which would I'm sure be very frequent occurences in the price of car we could afford) to our "Can we afford a car yet?" budget meeting last week.

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 13:04

Grin Babylann I can't really afford the repairs either and I have to admit I do have my head in the sand sometimes and just hope it won't happen Blush

Got2Dance services and MOTs are the worst. Mine's due in April, along with the tax, so that'll be another handful forked out probably.

Nickel I didn't realise they lasted that long so yes it's a good investment really. After a few months I won't feel the sting as much I'm sure, especially not if I've got other things on my mind.... Liking the name change by the way Grin

Katyrah · 31/01/2011 14:36

Hey Ladies!!

Sorry about my depressing ranting the other day! I had my period yesteday (sorry i dont know the acroynm for that!) so I was probably just emotional!

Babylann sounds like me and my DH! We both go through reservations about it, I hope it all passes for you!

Im happy with JSing now its faaaaar to complicated trying to plan when im ovulating ... I have wine and work to do :)

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 15:02

Hope you're feeling better Katyrah

I might have got the price down to nearer £200, which is still a lot but a saving of £100 which is great

babylann · 31/01/2011 15:46

Good job Josie! I'd ask "how", but I know NOTHING about cars, so I'll just offer a little round of ignorant applause Grin

Ahh good to hear I'm not the only one Katyrah.

Actually, one thing that will definitely help take some of the burden off me and DP is that my mum has decided to quit work, permanently, today. She wants more time to "play with my babies", aka her grandchildren, and wants me to be able to find full time work as soon as I'm ready without having to worry about nursery costs etc. I'm not sure how they're going to make it work financially, as my dad's wage is by no means comfortable, but when my mum makes her mind up there's no talking her out of it so!

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 16:05

can't guarantee it'll last that long Josie ! Grin
It depends how much you ride it when you drive!

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 17:11

can't quite work out why my big sister has managed to upload pictures of my new nephew to facebook, when they were taken with her mobile and i sent her a text asking her to text me a photo.

Wouldn't be quite so annoyed about it had one of the photos on facebook not had my other sister in it, holding the baby's fucking head.

I'm having to rant on here, because i'm slightly less exposed than ranting on FB, and i can't send her a text asking for a fucking picture when i've already asked her.
seriously, does the fact that i don't live in the same town anymore mean that i'm not her sister as much as the other one? yet who wanted her FPFB to be a bridesmaid at my wedding and would have goen apeshit if she hadn't been allowed?
aaaaaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh

Got2Dance · 31/01/2011 17:20

And breathe.....

GizzyBoo · 31/01/2011 17:26

Sorry some of you have been having a crappy time and glad things are looking up.

I am not quite myself at the min...woke up yesterday feeling like AF was trying to rip out my uterus with her bare hands....come mid afternoon it was like a tidal wave and I have been losing huge clots since last night (TMI) Blush

I can only think this is because I have had a Mirena in place for 8 years and haven't had a period in all that time. AF started last Monday so I thought things might have settled a bit by now, not got 10x worse Hmm
So been feeling jittery and sicky since yest and am gonna take it easy tonight and see if things let up a little.

This has sure reminded me why my Mirena suited me so much and why I shall be having one again after #4 Grin

Will be back once I have get rid of AF once and for all. x

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 17:28

still not breathing G2D - one of her friends has also posted up photos of them with the new baby - and she has also put a post on there stating the baby's name - which she hasn't told me - the last i heard it was still Baby and no name - nothing sent to me to update me.
all she has to do is send a fucking text!

(the text i've just sent to DH about the subject was littered with slightly more f-words)
Angry

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 17:28

Gizzy - :(
I have a theory that ERTD is always much worse when you're ttc - almost like your body is teasing you.

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 17:29

torturing you would be a better word than teasing though! Grin

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 31/01/2011 17:31

i'm more annoyed at myself, because i only looked at facebook to see if Baroque's online today, cos she's not checked in on the religion chat thread.
so, actually, i can officially blame Baroque for me finding out that not only is my sister a selfish bitch, but she's a thoughtless and two-face selfish bitch. Shock

(i already knew this fact, btw)

excitedLJ · 31/01/2011 19:08

Nickel thats family for you!! I'm sure she just wasn't thinking and meant no offence.

I've been feeling sick for more than 24 hours now and my head is bloody pounding. Should be at dance class right now but could not face it. I'm blaming Thai food and refusing to believe it can be anything else since I only ov'd on Wed!!

Been in an off mood all day and hoping one born will cheer me up! Are we all one born addicts or is that just me???

babylann · 31/01/2011 20:44

I have never seen it, LJ... I seem to remember people watching it when I was pregnant and trying to entice me, but I refused as I was one of those people who was so terrified of labour that I decided if I didn't think about it, it wouldn't happen and I'd be one of those ladies who gives birth on the toilet and says, "oh!? I didn't even notice!"

And now I don't want to watch it because it'll make me too jealous - I'll probably have ELCS next time so I'll never get the amazing drama of labour ever again :(

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 20:54

I don't watch it cos it'll make me too terrified to try and get pg! And jealous of course.

Nickel I hope you get through to your sis, it's awful being left out, especially something so close to home.

My mam phoned at about half 3 and aksed if I was heading to her house with the dog as she'd seen a dog just like ours wandering her street, so naturally I started panicking thinking she'd got out and made her way to Mam's house cos I was at work! It was all a bit much so I left work at 4, I just needed some time on my own to think about everything, honestly toda has been really crappy! The dog was at home luckily but I'm glad I came home when I did.

Car is still gonna cost me £300 but I'd forgotten we sold our wii and have the money from that for decorating so although it's not ideal, we can still do most of what we wanted to do, just nothing left over for us, which is nothing unusual so I'll get over it.

Let the day from hell be over soon please!
