Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

I love OBEM! I'm going to introduce my husband to it tonight, good idea or bad idea? He always seems to be out when its on, so this is the first opportunity, but I don't want to freak him out!

Nickel - Family do my head in as well, I live a fair way away from the rest of them, and always feel a little out of the loop, so I'm with you on a quick text before announcing things to the world via the book of faces.

JosieSmith1 · 31/01/2011 21:07

I don't think I should be watching this! EnvyEnvy That's a queasy face! I'm really put off already and nothing's happened!

NervousNelly · 31/01/2011 21:53

Just a quick one to say hi to everyone. Sorry you are all having such rubbish days :(. Think I might be joining soon as pretty sure ERTD is just around the corner. Had something that could be classed as spotting today. Arse.

On the other hand, I had a majorly fun day with my horse yesterday, went jumping which I'd not done for ages. I got a huge buzz out of it so at least if I'm not upduffed this month, I can carry on doing crazy things instead Grin.

Anyway I must must must have an early night so catch up tomorrow hopefully!

Katyrah · 31/01/2011 22:11

Nikel bloody family ai!They drive everyone mad, especially when you know vice versatile they would go mad at you! I'd text her again if it was me, I'm not very good at the whole keeping my opinion to myself thing!gets me in all sorts of trouble!

Hope everyone is well this evening, DH birthday Wednesday need to plan something!!nothing like last minute ai!!!

Katyrah · 31/01/2011 22:18

Oh and congratulations on your new nephew Nikel!!

kateepie2 · 31/01/2011 22:22

Sorry about your sister Nickel, they say you can't pick your family huh?

Getting angry (and emotional) with fuckwits on the climate change prog on bbc4, grrrrr, almost made me cry! Confused

Hope everyone has better day tomorrow xx

PracticallyImperfectInEveryWay · 31/01/2011 22:41

Sounds like there's a bit of a tough time going around at the moment :(. Hope it passes for everyone soon.

I don't think that it will be my month this month, woke up this morning with ERTD-style cramps (although not due until next week). I was sure we had done everything we could - JSing every second day and I apparently ov'd last week (according to the trusty MN ovulation calculator :)).

If ERTD doesn't arrive I'll be testing around 17th Feb - anyone on similar timing?

In brighter news though I had a great weekend, had my first girls day out since DD was born. We went over to South Stradbroke Island (near the Gold Coast) and had a day on the beach with a cocktail and did things like kayaking, paddle-boating and had a very fun ride in a speed boat. Got a little sun burned but not too bad considering it was a whole day in the sun :). Hopefully I don't wait a whole year before doing it again!

DH was at the cricket on Sunday (Aust v England one-dayer) so had dinner at my sisters house - she's got a DD 5 months older than my DD and a 3 week old DS who's gorgeous... Hard not to tell her we're trying for another but we're trying to keep it to ourselves just in case it takes a while.

Thankfully I have this thread to discuss it otherwise I'd go crazy!

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 08:24

Nelly sorry ERTD is on the way but glad you can keep doing crazy stuff.

Glad you had a god weekend Practically

My manager's daughter who had a baby at the beginning of Jane has sent us a card saying thanks for the pressies, so now it's up, with a piccy of the baby on, on the desk next to mine, constantly looking me in the face Envy

deemented · 01/02/2011 08:53

Fuckingbastardingtwattingcunting ERTD has arrived. With no warning whatsoever - had spotting a few days ago but nothing at all since.

Oh well.

kateepie2 · 01/02/2011 08:57

Sorry dee Sad xx

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 09:04

Shock at Nickel's sister. That is so rude - I would be very very upset. But do ring her and speak to her. It may be that she didn't actually put the things up - after all, she'll be all over the place after the birth.

Sorry dee - there's a lot of that there ERTD going around :)

Practically sounds wonderful - where do you live?

Nelly glad you're seeing the silver lining.

In my news, my sister is being induced today. I'm working at the same hospital, so will be popping over in break and lunchtime to see how she's getting on. So excited!

Sorry dee. That's a real bummer. Sad

Oh G2D that's so exciting! Keep us up to date! Grin

Nickel my family does my head in too, and I live so close to my mum that I see her every day, and I really resent it, especially at weekends when we are expected to go to see her and my DB and nephews, and if we don't then she has a big face on about it for days afterwards. It really pisses me off actually. Angry

babylann · 01/02/2011 10:04

Good morning!

Good luck to your sister, Got2Dance. Bet you can't wait!

Nickel, I was devastated to find out my cousin had posted pics of my baby on Facebook before I'd even left hospital. Pretty bad as we have a lot of long distance family, mostly the in-laws, and I'm sure they really didn't appreciate it. Maybe your sister didn't mean for it to happen, she's probably just a bit overwhelmed and, if anything like I was, exhausted to the point of hysteria.

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 10:26

Good luck for your sister Got2Dance

Sorry ERTD got you Dee I'm very Angry for you

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 01/02/2011 11:09

dee sorry you got ERTD. :(

thank you everyone for your support! I'm sure i wouldn't be quite as pissed off it i lived a bit closer (mainly cos i'd get to see/touch/cuddle the baby, but cos I can't get off work, it's going to be next christmas before i get to meet him - that's 11 months!
(it was her, because she texted me last night (after i'd sent her a reminder text) saying that she'd put some up on facebook and she would post one out to me in a week or so)

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 01/02/2011 11:10

Good luck Got2Dance 's sister!

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:27

sorry dee that sucks.

good luck and fingers crossed for G2Ds sis!

I need a slap today ladies as I have convinced myself - despite promising to do the opposite- that my headache, nausea and increased burping, along with some extreme temperature fluctuations = pregnancy. I am a week after ov so in my brain I know it's not but I can't help being massively distracted all day and doing bugger all work coz I'm daydreaming that it is!

HELP!!

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 11:36

excited - you CANNOT possibly be having pg symptoms yet. 1 week after ov, a fertilized egg won't have implanted or started producing pg hormones yet. So thread kipper for you, young lady! That is not to say you're not pg, but you're imagining your symptoms!!

My sis has had the first gel thing in and come up to have a cuppa. Getting uncomfy but nothing really happening yet.

Will keep you informed.

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:41

thank you G2D - I will consider myself slapped! although I'm most likely just ill then, boo Sad

so excited for your sis, yay!! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 11:43

I was exactly the same at that stage Excited I have now decided that as I don't really have any real symptoms I can't be pg again. Someone just brought their gorgeous 1 yr old son in and I nearly cried. Had to go out of the room. When will it happen to us Sad

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:49

josie I guess we just have to stay hopeful (but not too hopeful!) It's a really hard balance to find sometimes. This is only Cycle 1 for me so I hope guess it is normal to be this excited. I hope it calms down soon though as I am running the risk of becoming obsessed already.

I know what you mean about babies, I went shopping on Sunday and couldn't move for all the new babies - life can be so cruel!! Envy

kateepie2 · 01/02/2011 11:52

josie, excited I have been like that last two months... this month, nothing except for general craziness 2-4dpo. Feel bloody normal now?! Its quite nice, as its not driving me nuts/uncomfortable, like last 2 months, but still got me wondering!

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 11:58

I think cos we gave it a really good go this month that's why I was really hopeful and it feels worse when it doesn't happen cos you can't do anymore so it makes me wonder how the hell I'm supposed to get pg when my best efforts don't work Confused

Excited on my first cycle I was convinced it was going to happen first time for us and I was so disappointed when it didn't. After that I calmed down a bit till now!

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:59

katee you just can't help it can you?? Your mind just wanders to it. We should try to come up with something we can all think about instead...
