Hello to new people

Docs today who said due date is 5th Sept and are going to refer me to the middys. Was quite surprised that the doctor didn't check in anyway to make sure that I actually was upduffed, just took my word for it! Then had to fill in some forms. Fun fun fun.

Gross story - cat had a bit of a dirty bum (nothing too gross) so DH cleaned it. Cat then ran across room and put streak on his laptop screen and then when DH was getting out more kitchen roll he knocked over a bottle of wine that was in the same cupboard and it smashed on the floor! He then didn't know what to clean up first (chose the streaks in the end) and finished off the cleaning by spraying everything in sight with febreeze!!! I was trying not to feel vommy at the smell of the red wine

I'm in the very early stages of TTC #1 at the moment. Had a look around and joined in some of the threads but's there's far too many acronyms and numbers in there for my liking. I'm just going for the 'lots of SWI' tactic at the moment :o

So did all you grads start symptom-spotting in the first month of trying? Technically I'm 2 days late now, but this is my first month off the pill so am trying to be sensible and saying it's just my body adjusting. Can't remember who said it on the last page but I'm having what seems like PMT-type symptoms at the moment and I swear I was feeling a bit sick last week! If I'm this bad now god knows what I'll be like in any future months!

Bloody hell I've gone off on one a bit there. Better go and make myself a G&T (am still allowed until I know I'm definitely upduffed right?!) and lie down in a darkened room....

the baby-snatching name is from another thread - Reality has namechanged to RealityIsShaggingWithIntent, so I said i needed a name that reflected my status - I said I should be nickelwantsababy (cos it's usually nickelbabe for the newbies' reference), and then I started saying that I could just steal one, if anyone had any they wanted to give away. So Reality suggested nickelbabysnatcher, and here i am!

Bambam - symptom spotting is no good I am nearly 6 weeks and only have sore boobs and only got those a couple of weeks a go. This PG is IVF so I have been hormoned to the hilt for months so no idea what is me and what is artificial

I feel sicky, too.
had to do the chickens last night, DH drove, and i was sitting in the passenger seat going "urgh" (in my head)

don't normally get travel-sick on a 15 minute journey..
also feel a bit icky this morning.

It could be food-poisoning though! (don't eat meat, so not likely)

I have been TTC for 28 months now! Nightmare! I just found an I'm Pregnant magazine that I bought when I was all excited at the start, dated September 2008! Really want 2011 to be our year though. If I can kick the ciggies, then I will maybe go to the doctor, but I know that's one of the first things they would ask about.

Can I ask you lovely ladies a question, and sorry if it's TMI! When exactly do you count AF as having started? Is it from the really heavy blood, or do you count from the light brownigh gunk at the very start?

I know this was a while ago but here are my thoughts on conceiving - I think maybe because blokes won?t ask for directions, the sperm get lost sometimes and that?s why it doesn?t always work
