Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

awww, babylann Blush i'm sorry!

Got2Dance has done a very good cheat sheet list for you newbies - we really do welcome eveybody! Grin
(and POAS and PIAR are doing pregnancy tests, but i'm sure you've worked that one out)

OP posts:
babylann · 29/01/2011 11:17

Ooooh that clears some things up a little Got2Dance... I was feeling veeeery out of my depth.

JSers - Jobseekers?
ERTD - a type of menopause hormone device?
POAS - some kind of computer ctrl command?!

You can see how this thread would have got confusing!

My story... we have one beautiful DD, our little demon surprise. We long to have our babies relatively close together so we waited a while for the CS scar to heal and now we're getting back into it... Started shagging with intent Grin in September. My periods decided to stop for about 3 months (that was a royal headfuck when we had just started TTC as you can imagine, must have got through about 20 pregnancy tests). But that ended up being for the best, as I had to go for a sudden Christmas operation.

And now I'm all healed from said op, and my period has resumed it's natural course... and this is the first month where hopefully we can just do some straightforward "bouncy cuddles" Wink

As of yet, I've not worried about ovulation and what have you. We just do it when we fancy it and aren't going to put too much pressure on ourselves as DD wasn't planned anyway, so we figured we are a super-fertile "condoms don't stop us from making babies!" couple.

Where can I purchase one of these shag-capes? What kind of superpowers will I achieve through its use?

nickelbabysnatcher · 29/01/2011 11:19

you can use any garment you like (currently our shag-cape is the very flimsy sheet that covers us when shagging- you don't have to tie it on!)
the superpowers it gives is to ensure successful ejaculation, and super strong swimming sperms to fertilize that egg!

Morning viroids and welcome to newbs, may the powers of the JSer be with you Grin

Nelly congrats on the tax return and to your DH Nickel hope you enjoy your unusual brekkie!

My lazy weekend has started nicely with some JSing, chocolate breakfast ceral (some sort of crunchy stuff from M&S that DH purchased) and now said DH has trotted off to fetch a parcel that arrived for me when we were at work, that I hoping contains my new Bravissimo swimming costume.

We are planning a lazy afternoon of lounging about and tracking the football scores. I am also planning to dye my hair and possibly visit the pub tonight. I thought we might go last night but we needed a pizza and crap TV night to shake off the working week.

I shall be donning my shag cape again later and for the next few days so please wish me super powers viroids!

GizzyBoo · 29/01/2011 11:51

Hahahaha at interviewing the hubby Grin That made me laugh.

Bouncy cuddles Blush When DC3 was little he caught us at it....and without thinking I said mummy and daddy were just having a bouncy cuddle Grin The term stuck Grin

nickle do you think shag socks would have the same effect.....or would that just be off-putting for Hubby Grin

Quiet here this morning, managed to drag my ass out of bed about 11 and just had some egg noodles for breakfast....you can see I'm on a real health kick can't you!!

I sometimes wonder WTF I am doing wanting another...My kids are all of an age where they are quite self sufficient and I get to lie in bed late while they bring me tea. Still....They can still do that once #4 is here...right? Hmm

NervousNelly · 29/01/2011 11:55

Here have a crumpet instead of that hamburger :)

Grin

Still no symptoms here with 4 days till ERTD due. In fact road rage is a normal precursor, up to a week in advance, but so far I've not felt the need to call other road users a twunt. Refuse to get hopes up though. Mind you, last night I idly read a sleep thread, and was rather glad not to be upduffed Shock. some of them were sleeping 45 mins at a time, max. All Night. Think I'd have bought hefty earplugs by then

Truffkin · 29/01/2011 11:58

Nelly if it's any consolation I love a crumpet! DH likes them with golden syrup but just butter for me. Thanks Grin If you don't want to get your hopes up I might just do it for you, sounding promising! Any potential pg symptoms in the absence of ERTD ones?

NervousNelly · 29/01/2011 12:02

Sorry cross posts. Weekend sounds good so far:). I actually forgot we JS last night! Gold star?

Also forgot to comment on interviewing Oh! Q: so why are you interested in this position? A: errrr, cos we're shagging and it works?? Grin

gizz cold your kids bring me tea do you think?

GizzyBoo · 29/01/2011 12:09

Well I'm thinking of hiring them out Nelly, earn their keep. Might take them a while to get to you but you can keep the hormonal teenager for however long you need him Grin

nickelbabysnatcher · 29/01/2011 12:10

shag socks sounds like a fab plan! Grin
especially because it's soooooo cold at the moment

OP posts:
Truffkin · 29/01/2011 12:16

Ha ha Nelly! How about:

Q) What attributes do you have that you think would make you successful in this position?

A) Well, I think you are very hot and want to shag you senseless.

babylann · 29/01/2011 12:53

I feel like a complete teenager but when my mum asked if she could borrow my DD for the evening tonight, I couldn't help but think "free house! wooo!"

We promised we'd get to work on making a scrapbook for DD's "life so far" when she leaves though. Wonder whether a bit of arts and crafts will get us in a JS mood... Grin

BamBam21 · 29/01/2011 13:21

Hi Gizzy and Babylann! Loving the bouncy cuddles! Grin

Sorry about the spotting dee. Hope it buggers off for you.

I am still in my dressing gown here. Have felt weirdly emotional and down in the dumps since last night. Think it's still nearly 2 weeks til ERTD so it can't be hormones. I must be getting right into the swing of JSing now because I'm losing track of my cycle!

Hi to all the viroids!

Got2Dance · 29/01/2011 14:14

Sulk. Sulk and super sulk.

A pink wipe this morning. Nothing more but knows it heralds the beginning of the end.

So fed up and emotional and grumpy and tired and humph.

Worst thing is having to take the clomid again and have a week of hot flushes to keep me awake at night.

Although the thought of shag socks made me smile. As did interviewing Gizzy's husband. And the hiring out of children for tea making duties. And Nelly sulking at dee not liking her crumpets.

So all in all, you lot have cheered me up, so thanks.

Although I'm still upset with my body. Angry Sad

Oh, and it's my Dear sister's baby shower in half an hour....will have to muster a good face and ooh and aah over all the cute little baby clothes and discussion between the other mums about their adorable DCs. sigh.

GizzyBoo · 29/01/2011 14:30

Awwwwww G2D.....you have a good sulk...it does help. And you never know it might turn out to not be AF Smile

Glad we cheered you up though Grin

Just been interviewing hubby....went a bit like this:-

Me- So, tell me, what are your thoughts on shag socks?
OH- eh, WTF are shag socks
Me- Well some lovely ladies on the interweb have been explaining to me how its scientifically proven that the wearing of shag socks during the bouncy cuddles increases fertility and creates super sperms
OH- Have you been drinking?? Hmm

Katyrah · 29/01/2011 15:08

Hey again! Wow you ladies can chat I can't keep up since I last looked!

I'm struggling with the whole JSing thing,I really am trying to JS and not over analyse everything but it's been like 14 months gahhhh! Help meee I so want to be all chilled out and everything but now I'm trying to plan when I ovulate -which is difficult with all my medical stuff anyway -

Eugh sorry for being so depressing just in one of them
Moods I guess

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 29/01/2011 15:44

"have you been drinking?" GrinGrinGrin

it does anyway - think about it - your blood is concentrating on JSing and not on keeping feet warm...

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 29/01/2011 15:45

sorry you're feeling moody Katy

havea biscuit.

Truffkin · 29/01/2011 16:02

(((hugs))) Got2Dance that is truly shit timing. Hope you can envisage your baby shower this afternoon so you know it will happen one day.

LOL Gizzy at 'have you been drinking?' I should imagine I would get a similar response! My DH likes to try and read over my shoulder when I am MNing, which I try to avoid. Luckily he is happily enjoying a game of Fifa on the PS3 at the moment so is leaving me in peace. As I have been out twice today to fetch milk for cereal and also to get lunch stuff (for today and tomorrow) he should be feeling very spoiled by me Grin

Katy don't tell any of the other viroids but I chart my cycles so I can pinpoint ovulation Blush as I had several months of very erratic and long cycles when I stopped using hormonal contraception after over 10 years! I now have a fairly settled cycle and can predict ovulation quite accurately, which on the plus side helps me feel more in control but on the negative side, means every month of babyfail is harder because I know we've done everything right! I suppose you can't win in this game really. Hope you find something that works for you (and coming here to moan with likeminded viroids really does help Wink)

I am off to dye my hair now, I've gone for this scary shade so wish me luck! I am already a deep red colour at the moment so am hoping it's a little less bright but enough to really look red as a lot of deep colours just melt into my dark brown hair. DH is delighted as he has been nagging me to go either bright red or some sort of violet colour for ages (so really, this is my shag cape!)

Katyrah · 29/01/2011 16:18

Thanks Truffkin it just gets so hard!stupid periods all over the place winds me up and I don't want to bore DH with the details and my over thinking!

Hmm maybe some wine will cheer me up,I hate being so down about all this!might make the DH take me out!

Truffkin · 29/01/2011 16:20

If you decide to start charting, the 'charters anonymous' thread in conception is a great place to get support, opinions and advice when starting out. They are a lovely bunch on that thread.

In the meantime, wine is definitely the answer to almost every problem whether TTC related or otherwise Grin

Katyrah · 29/01/2011 16:23

I've always written everything down but there really is no pattern thanks for the tip of the charters anonymous!! Ahh if only this would all just happen the simple way,all my friends seem to falling pregnant saying 'I just forgot my pill for one day!!' bah.

Truffkin · 29/01/2011 16:36

I use the Fertility Friend website (and phone app) to record my temperature and other factors each month. The way I see it, if I know I am ovulating regularly, have a decent length luteal phase and we are shagging at the right times my GP will be more inclined to take me seriously when I present to discuss our fertility. So far, this has proved to be the case!

I also think that if the data shows that I am not ovulating regularly, my luteal phase is not of a desirable length or there are any other issues (like with my very long and irregular cycles when we first tarted TTC) then again, this is determined before speaking to the GP.

I like to have a mixture of being well informed about the goings on in my own body and also continuing to enjoy JSing outside of TTC as well. It certainly is a mindbender!

Truffkin · 29/01/2011 16:37

P.S lots of people doubt that others get pregnant quite as easily as they sometimes suggest, but knowing that my SiL got pg with DC1 within 2 months of trying, DC2 without even starting to 'actively try' and DC3 in the first month, I certainly believe that it is just easy for some people. This isn't right or wrong, just different and I certainly wouldn't wish this TTC pain in the arse on anyone!

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 29/01/2011 16:57

I don't do all the temp/ogv/keeping track thing, because i don't want to obsess overit- that's why i joined the viroids in the first place - people who were trying, but didn't spend al their time saying "ooh, how much did your temp go up by?" every day - It's nice that we all keep up to date with each other's progress and can chat about ttc, but we don't talk about nothing else iyswim.
