Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

yes, my boobs are a bit sore too....but ignoring it.

are you working tomorrow nickel?

kateepie2 · 28/01/2011 16:09

nickel... did say "thought I ov'd" as opposed to after obsessive charting, peeing on sticks etc ...am I forgiven? Wink

Now thinking weird behaviour may be side effect of 10 years of the pill wreaking havoc on my hormones. Maybe that will stop me obsessing thinking about it so much Hmm

nickelbabysnatcher · 28/01/2011 16:51

Grin that's allowed Grin

I'm always working ,G2D

Hi viroids, quite glad I missed the cat chat Grin as I am not a fan of pets so have nothing to contribute! Got2Dance maybe we could share anecdotes about our other halves instead?

I've been working from home today and got quite a lot done, I've even had time to do some washing and tidying around the house so has been a very productive day!

Our weekend plans consist of entirely nothing! I am so excited to have a weekend to ourselves, at home, with no interruptions. Every weekend since the middle of December we have either been travelling back up to Birmingham for some sort of event or had people staying with us and we're at home for the next 3 weeks with nothing planned. I should imagine we might head to our local tonight for a few cheeky drinks then have a nice lie in tomorrow before doing a bit of pottering around the house. I'm also hoping for a cinema trip at some point (DH wants to see the Little Fockers and I'm voting for the King's Speech) but we might not bother, who knows Grin there's always next weekend!

Oh and of course, lots of JSing Wink

Got2Dance · 28/01/2011 18:19

Truffkin that sounds perfect. I so love those type of weekends. You deserve a nice amount of "me" (and DH) time.

I have already started on the chilling...chicken and pots are in for roasting. Wine is chilling. Kitchen tidied. DH doing a quick run, but I'm about to have a hot bath to unwind. Oh yes!

deemented · 28/01/2011 18:50

Well it's nearly bedtime here for the littlies, then i can have 20 mins to myself before doing dinner for Manshape and i.

Am feeling a bit Confused tonght - had a very very small ammount of bright red spotting earlier. Think ERTD may be planning on a visit...

Truffkin · 28/01/2011 18:53

Nice, nice, nice Got2Dance why not have a glass of wine whilst you're in the bath?

NervousNelly · 28/01/2011 19:04

:( for you Dee - hope not.

Well you viroids have been fairly chatty again today! I have been at a wanky enlightening work conference. Lots of business speak - words like Change Agenda, Empowerment, Licence to Operate, bla bla bla. So no MN for me. Shame I missed all the cat chat, sorry for the non-animal lovers amongst you! Though I do just have to say Angry times a million for whoever did that to Bambam's cat :(

Nickel sorry for the gushing - it's so disappointment and we did rather fuel the craziness. Though I must confess to chuckling at you Hating Gravity! Remember, the consolation prize is wine, so drink lots!

ERTD due in 5 days for me. Had a couple of short sharp crampy feelings today so have a feeling this could be a slightly shorter cycle. Arses.

Lots of lovely sounding weekends going on. Tonight for me is wine-fuelled tax returns. I find the wine helps me make decisions Wink. The tomorrow night out to friends for dinner (they have a lovely baby girl that we can hopefully steal play with and bathe). Then fun horsey stuff on Sunday. If we have the energy might make it to cinema on Sunday so I'll ask your recommendations.

Out of interest, did anyone read the post about things you wouldn't say in RL but posted on here? It started out rude and funny but slowly became very sad reading :( So many MN'ers have (or at least had) very sad experiences. Even sadder were the ones who wrote down lovely things, then the realisation dawned on them that actually they should be saying those things to the person in RL. I hope some of them do :)

Right better get on with the tax returns. They don't submit themselves, sadly. Oh such a rock and roll life I lead Grin.

NervousNelly · 28/01/2011 20:03

Oh forgot a key part of my weekend, durrr. Getting up at stupid o clock to watch the tennis Grin Grin. Where are the Burns emoticons when you need them!! He is Scottish you know Wink.

c'mooonnnnnn Andyyyyy :)

Got2Dance · 28/01/2011 20:08

Good luck with your tax returns Nelly - the wine will certainly help!

ERTD is so annoying - sorry it's coming for you dee and Nelly sounds like you need to stock up on tampons (and PeeSticks if you're like nickel !!)

I did read that thread too. It was sad and touching...but I didn't realise there were so many lonely or hurting people out there. It made me grateful for my lovely DH and family who love and support me so much. I am so so blessed. :)

And "GO ANDY!!!!"

GizzyBoo · 28/01/2011 21:59

Oh man.....you lot are a tonic....is it OK if I join you??
Was about to hop on a bus but they made me wanna puke it was all a bit much for me Grin and I have tried a thread or 2 but don't think my humour went down too well Shock

My story.....well I have 3 DC. Eldest almost 14 and youngest just turned 8. Fancy another so Mr G and I are are gonna indulge in a bit of SWI and see what happens.

This is my first cycle in almost 8 years as I have had the Mirena since DC3 popped. Flippin heck, AF is a serious PITA aint she Grin

So.....the shagging love in is set to start beginning of next week. Though I did give DH a preview last night as it was his birthday Grin

Been reading here for a while. Sorry to all those who AF is paying a visit to and congrats to the BFP's.

Hope I find my place here Smile

Got2Dance · 28/01/2011 22:38

Welcome Gizzy all are welcome here, esp those who don't take things too seriously! Congrats on deciding to take the plunge and joining the madness!

GizzyBoo · 28/01/2011 23:06

Thanks Got2Dance

I am just looking forward to some bouncy cuddles just now...determined not to get the conception OCD but fear its just a matter of time Grin

Poor hubby aint gonna know what's hit him come next week Grin

I shall need a bumper box of the vino to go with my folic acid...it does help Grin

babylann · 29/01/2011 00:43

I swear I posted on this thread before but it seems like I didn't?! Probably explains why nobody answered me Grin

waves

deemented · 29/01/2011 08:18

Hiya babylann and GizzyBoo - welcome to the madhouse!

NervousNelly · 29/01/2011 10:27

Morning all! Hello to newbs. I'm sure you'll like it here.

Got tax returns done, hurrah. Lazy morning so far, better get my finger out and do something productive other than eat drinkers and drink tea Hmm. Have a nice day viroids :)

NervousNelly · 29/01/2011 10:29

Eat drinkers? that should have read Crumpets Blush

nickelbabysnatcher · 29/01/2011 10:42

welcome GizzyBoo and babylann

I read your preview bit as "interview" and thought, blimey, that's harsh! Grin

We wlcome all comers - especially those who talk about shag capes etc. (and as G2D said, we don't take it seriously!)

Bouncy cuddles?????? Shock

OP posts:
nickelbabysnatcher · 29/01/2011 10:42

I'll have acrumpet, Nelly , if you've got the toaster handy.

OP posts:
babylann · 29/01/2011 10:45

Maybe I'm not as welcome as I hoped I'd be - as I have no idea what a shag cape is! :( Should I google or have I already failed the entrance exam?

[goes away and cries into pillow]

Got2Dance · 29/01/2011 10:48

Oh yes please to crumpets. We have no bread and only enough milk for a cup of tea. So a crumpet would go down a treat.

Mind you, DH is hopefully about to walk in with sausage and egg McMuffins - our guilty secret! Hope he made it before 10.30....

He did his tax return this morning, Nelly so I thought he deserved a treat. Notice how, after 13 months TTC, a treat is a McDonalds, not a "bouncy cuddle" Grin Grin

Welcome to babylann as well. What's your story?

deemented · 29/01/2011 10:50

Oh babylann - don't go. We don't bite much. Fior what it's worth, i haven't a clue what a shag cape is either, so you're in good company.

And who the feck is eating crumpets?? No. They are just wrong. Like eating rubber sponges. Muffins are the way to go. Yummity.

Got2Dance · 29/01/2011 10:52

x-post baby ....although we are v friendly here, we do tend to have a few odd words and acronyms that have crept in.

shag-cape - a garment to be worn to give one superpowers whilst, well, shagging!!

JS - just shag (as in no intent!!)
So we are JSers (just shaggers) and we indulge in JSing (just shagging)

viroid - affectionate term of endearment for the fellow JSers. It started as girlies, I think, way back and got iPhoned!!

ERTD - evil red tide of doom

POAS - pee on a stick but we are a bit classier in here and we

PIAR - pee in a ramekin (preferrably a Gu ramekin) Grin

Hope that helps. x

Got2Dance · 29/01/2011 10:54

Oh no - they ran out of McMuffins.

I have a hamburger for breakfast

Hmm
