Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Sorry to Panpipe and Bambam (hugs) and anyone else who has ERTD or BFNs that I might have missed. Having trouble keeping up as work is busy and I can?t get on too often at the moment

Tried on my bridesmaid dress last night and although it was very nice, I don?t feel like I suit dresses. If you want a look, go to Littlewoods.co.uk and search for 9t48011, the lilac one. There?s loads of layers of silk and mesh and netting and allsorts underneath it so it stands up a bit but if you get it all to lie straight and not crumpled it?s nice. The style means it?ll hang nicely over a possible bump, but I?m a bit worried as she got me a size 8, which fits perfectly now, but if I do get pg, yes it?ll hang over a bump but what if I balloon all over! It isn?t floor length so my dumpy legs stick out and I have a tattoo on my ankle but she doesn?t mind it showing. Tbh I?m not sure it?s the right one but don?t want to tell her that as she likes them and that?s all that matters. I think it?s just because I?m not used to seeing myself in a dress I don?t think it looks right

BamBam21 · 19/01/2011 12:37

Josie - that's a nice dress. I'm just so jealous that you are getting a size 8 Envy! I have just got registered on eBay and am thinking of selling my wedding dress. Ex and me split 4 years ago, and it's still lurking around like a big bad-luck omen. Of course I wouldn't say that on eBay!! Grin

Crowette I'm excited for you! I really hope this is your lucky month.

Still feeling rubbish and a bit sorry for myself here. Worked out that this was my 30th cycle TTC. Sad Think a trip to the GP will have to happen very soon. I know DP wouldn't be keen - he hates doctors! Would they see me on my own?

JosieSmith1 · 19/01/2011 13:46

I don't really know Bambam but I would imagine they probably would. They might just talk through your options first and let you discuss it with your DH if that's what you wanted. I'm just guessing though, sorry. Maybe ring and ask? Hope you get your dress sold, sorry it has bad memories for you

BamBam21 · 19/01/2011 14:18

Thanks Josie. I keep putting off going to the doctor and hoping it will just happen for us.

Getting rid of the dress would be really symbolic for me, just like throwing my ring in the sea was! The only good thing to come out of it is my beautiful wee DS, who's now 7.

GOML, Nickel, where are you both?? Smile

GetOrfMoiLand · 19/01/2011 14:26

Sorry for the negs and period invasions.

Panpipe - have you come on yet? You seem to be on the same cycle as me - 5 weeks 3 days since my last period now, and it stil hasn't shown up.

Still negative last night when I tested.

I have never gone longer than 6 weeks between periods (as far as I know anyway) so will leave it and test again on Sunday if my period doesn't show up before.

Bloody HELL though now I know why you buy internet tests in batches of 50! I want to POAS every time I go for a wazz Grin

BamBam21 · 19/01/2011 14:33

LOL GOML! I hope you are okay there. It must be driving you crackers not knowing. Smile

deemented · 19/01/2011 14:33

Ah shit, GOML - i was so sure you were upduffed. I still reckon you are...

Thanks Foghorn, but the crappy marriage is all in the past now. The annoying thing is, how come it was so easy to get pregnant with entirely the WRONG man, and I can't with DP, who I love dearly?? Not fair!! Confused

GOML I am really hoping things work for you this time round. The waiting is just torture though.

Truffkin · 19/01/2011 15:05

BamBam glad you are with the right man now Grin and just to say that when I went to my GP about TTC, as I have been able to get pg before, they wanted to see DH for sperm testing. I understand that it is relatively cheap and simple to do the sperm tests compared to dildocam and lap & dye for us wimmin folk so that is one of the first things that can be done (hopefully to rule out any problems!)

GOML no way, I was convinced! I kind of agree with Deemented though and think you might just be a late BFPer

Josie I'm not sure it would be deemed reasonable to ask your friend to change her bridesmaid dress plans just in case you might get pg between now and then Grin Wink and maybe if you just accept that you might have to bear the cost of buying a replacement dress if it does happen (fingers crossed!) then that should be ok. Anyway, you might be one of these absolute cows women who puts on no weight anywhere other than on the tiny, perfect bump when pregnant!

GetOrfMoiLand · 19/01/2011 15:10

Lol at dildocam.

BamBam - oh that sounds so sad (re getting pregnant by wrong man). Fingers crossed you will do so soon by a good man.

I do like this thread - it is strangely exciting to hear people's pregnancy testing news!

nickelbabysnatcher · 19/01/2011 15:17

I'm here!
Grin

haven't POAS yet, but i've done lots of normal weeing into the toilet (my bladder appears to have shrunk massively in size.... Hmm )

BamBam21 · 19/01/2011 15:58

Thanks for the support everybody. I absolutely adore my DS, but DP and I would love a wee one of our own. We will keep JSing and see what happens. I will have to try to persuade DP about the doctor though!

Nickel - just gerronwivit woman! We are all in suspenders here! Grin
