Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Wow, Lizzy that spa sounds amazing! I'm so jealous!! Think I'll have to research that one and casually leave a print out for my DH to come across.

Go for it with the shag cape, Nelly!!

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 17/01/2011 17:19

see here to aid with any necessary hinting! They give you the mud, salt and oil, and leave you to it!

NervousNelly · 17/01/2011 17:24

Mudeline Grin. That's perfect!

Blush.

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 17:28

Maud

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 17:29

Nervous I have been doing to same, much to my eternal chagrin and self loathing.

Mind you DP has come up with what can only be described as surreal baby names. Ra, anyone? Ra. Hmm

I am not allowing him anywhere near the (so far non-existent/unconfirmed) baby.

NervousNelly · 17/01/2011 17:35

Ra Ra rarara, rararara-ah

OK that's just weird GOML. Is that a sort of Kipling-esk name (as in Rudyard, not Mr) Grin.

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 17/01/2011 17:38

Ra... as in ra ra skirt? I don't think DH has any idea, he had interesting enough ideas when it came to our kittens... Bacardi and Cinzano. Veto. They are now called Tiger Lily and Tinkerbell, I wanted the boy too, so we could have Peter Pan, but he drew the line at two in our two bed terrace!

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 17:41

It is ancient egyptian apparently.

I have visions of me, DP and imaginary baby dressed in dish dashes and cleopatra make up, wandering round going 'Imhotep, Imhotep' a la the film 'the Mummy'.

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 17:42

Bacardi and Cinzano Grin

DP wanted to call our cats Lewis and Barack (we got them as kittens the week that Obama was made president and Lewis won the F1 championship)

Truffkin · 17/01/2011 19:07

My husband believes that Lando (after the Star Wars character) is an acceptable name for a human child. I think repeated babyfail is nature's way of punishing him (and protecting said child) Grin

Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 19:28

PMSL at some of these names from DH's. Ra? Lando? Just no!! And esp chuckling at Nelly clarifying the type of Kipling!!

Although for pets, I think the slightly funnier the better. Lewis and Barrack would be excellent.

NervousNelly · 17/01/2011 19:55

Actually I've previously named 2 cats after my favourite brand of a particular type of booze. They weren't called Bacardi or Cinzano though.

Talking of cats, where is singingmog? Who else are we missing? Haven't heard from Miffles for a while either. Because I'm very very sad a caring soul, I might go back through some old threads to see who has gone quiet. There are so many now that I lose track Confused. Or is that stalker-ish?

. Going to have to work hard to get the shag-cape some action. OH and I just had a fight about sausages. Or more accurately the cooking of them.

Him: shall we just grill them?
Me: Hmm I'd rather not, I just brillo'd the grill the other day
Him: Well I don't want them fried, I'm on a diet.
Me: Well I could do them in the oven.
Him: What's wrong with the grill? Cleaning it isn't that big a deal.
Me . Oh really - how would you know? Clean the oven much do you? Hmm.

Please tell me you all have equally ridiculous discussions about these pressing matters Blush.

NervousNelly · 17/01/2011 19:57

PS LOL at Truff but also I hope that's not true Shock. We could all be here a llloooooonnngg time in that case!

GOML???? Come tell us what of the PIAR....

Cheeser · 17/01/2011 22:08

Evenin all.

Anyone watch One Born Every Min? I cried Blush at the young girl having the waterbirth.

NervousNelly that's exactly the sort of argument DP and I have! Grin

Having a particularly heavy ERTD and feeling quite weird, I can't stop eating everything in sight and am knackered. Off to bed soon... blimey I really have nothing interesting to report whatsoever!!

Good luck to those on shag-cape duty tonight.

Where's GOML gone? Has she started another piss thread?

NervousNelly · 18/01/2011 08:18

Anyone PIAR yet?

JosieSmith1 · 18/01/2011 08:41

Nelly we have exactly the same arguments Grin]

Cheeser I watched one born every minute but turned it off after the water birth. It made me cry only because I was scared that I would eventually have to go through that! I?m so scared of childbirth it is unreal. That one wasn?t particularly bad by the looks of it so figured I?d turn it off before a really nasty one came on and put my off my JSing. As it turns out, it did put me off slightly but we got on with it anyway Blush

Got2Dance · 18/01/2011 08:41

Honestly, we were all waiting expectantly for something to happen. GOML and Nickel - you're teasing us!!

Nelly - yes, that is just the kind of conversation/argument DH and I have. So annoying cos you don't really mean to argue, but they can be so annoying often sometimes.

Sorry to hear ERTD is so heavy this time. Hopefully it won't last long.

Good luck everyone testing today!!

Got2Dance · 18/01/2011 09:14

I'm really trying not to think of the labour bit. Didn't watch One Born as thought it'd make me too broody - or at least wonder if I'll ever be able to hold my own baby. I do tend toward meloncoly (sp?) at times.

Labour just seems so....painful!

nickelbabysnatcher · 18/01/2011 09:51

Ra is the name of the Egyptian Sun God.

We were watching a filmlast night (well, DH was watching it cos i was swimming) - when it finished i suggested we watch the end of born every minute. loved how the black lady's birth plan went right out of the window when she couldn't cope with the pain any more. (i did not like the shots of the business end! Shock ) But the white lady's birth seemed positively serene! I was just bowled over by her expression once she had finished and held her baby.

Oh poo. Never mind. Try and keep busy today. It was probably too early anyway... you know us, always keen for a bit of PIAR action!

Serene, huh? Maybe I should watch it!!
