Hello and Happy New Year everyone (if anyone remembers me at all?) GrinSo I am making like my nickname, which I am taking off the MIA list as we just started SWI after waiting for the WTF cycle and the headf**k of the MMC last Aug.
Basically I am ready to TTC, bring it on Grin Grin

Nickster and Wombat and orange congrats Smile

Big hellos to Izzy, MamaP, MummyA (been following your Ash op story, so glad for you things are working out) YRMOTB knitter Hairy (so sorry, glad you areback and ready to ttc though) and everyone else from August onwards.

Hi to all the newer people too and, of course, sorry you are here in the first place.

I'll reintroduce myself as having had MMC in August at nearly 17 weeks. I went back to 'school' in Sept as a way of trying to make something good come out of the awfulness and I'm doing well on my access course.

I'm going to do the list...

Happy new year Jiggle, Emoo and Back!

Jiggle so glad to hear the bleeding's stopped. I hope your scan tomorrow is all cllear and you get the okay to get back on the TTC bandwagon.

Emoo I'm keeping everything crossed for you that DH stays enthusiastic. I'm afraid that before all my TTC traumas I may have been guilty of asking a friend when/whether she planned a second. It was more out of making conversation with friends who were parents - a world I knew nothing about at the time - and trying to show interest in their lives. I realise now of course that I should never ask and will never again (my mother, who didn't know we had been ttc/I had been pg gave me a kindly lecture on 'not leaving it too late to start a family' the day after my MC Confused, but it was kindly meant at the time. I did see a thread on here that suggested that being quite blunt is the best way to put a stop to the questions. Never had the nerve myself [yet!].

Back fab on the access course!! Keep thinking I should take up something new to dilute my attention from mentalling about TTC Grin

Wombat33 · 04/01/2011 17:29

In the spirit of believing the CB Digi result, I've called my doctor to tell them I'm pg and made an appointment for Monday. Eek.

owlbooty · 04/01/2011 17:32

Thank you very much for all your kind wishes folks - tis good news, thank feck.

Either that or I've swallowed a vole as there is something dancing about in my innards with a super-fast heartbeat. Grin

I was so relieved I nearly passed out. I know it's not 12 weeks yet and anything could happen but am mightily relieved.

Bee hang on hang on what? I demand further stick details (more sticks! more sticks!)

Back lovely to see you again & nice work on the return to school :)

Wombat hang on in there, lovely. Am still standing here with all limbs crossed in alarming yoga pose for you.

Wombat33 · 04/01/2011 17:35

Whoop!!! Owly!!! Fab news!!! So relieved for you. And am sitting at my desk giggling hysterically at the mental image of you in alarming yoga pose Grin Grin

BackOnceAgain · 04/01/2011 17:36

Yay Wombat, here's hoping you are going to be far too busy to take up any form of study Smile

BackOnceAgain · 04/01/2011 17:37

x posts, wow Owly (were you formerly known as owlshoes btw?) exciting times for all.
I have very good feelings about this year....

Wombat33 · 04/01/2011 17:38

Izz any news on your sister's appointment??

Wombat33 · 04/01/2011 17:39

Thanks Back today I'm daring to hope, but can't quite shake the fear I'm setting myself up for a crushing disappointment. Trying to enjoy it while it lasts though. Tis helping my optimism that I feel really pukey today Grin.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/01/2011 18:09

Fab fab news owl !!!! Grin Grin Grin. Hope you're feeling a bit more relaxed about things now x

wombat well done on taking the first step and booking that appointment - think positive now!!!

Dsis had another scan and bloods - still no sign of anything, hcg ever so slowly rising. They aren't keen on giving the metho-whatever as they don't know where it is, but don't seem sure what to do. She is back later this week, apparently guy from London has clinic at her local hosp on Thurs so they want her to see him. So we're keeping our fx - thanks for asking Smile

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 04/01/2011 18:14

Argh ... Too much to catch up on and I am trying to write this on an phone while being jumped on by ratties.

Anyway a quick one on to say that I can ring church bells pink. My dad is obsessed with it and I used to do it when I was younger. Not rung for a couple of years now bt could possibly manage a few rounds of plain hunt if someone held a gun to my head. Good luck with it! Grin

I am in a good mood today as still no af which means that even if no bfp I have managed a nice respectable 10dpo which is an improvement on last months 8dpo. So thanks everyone for the advice about the b12! Grin

Choccybick · 04/01/2011 18:28

Hi peeps
not in a vg mood. DH kinda made me have a meltdown earlier. We went to the shops, which are now full of stuff like costumes for carnival. I told him I wasnt sure if I would be joining in all the partying this year and said it would be nice if we could give it a miss and maybe even go away for a few days. (mc baby would have been due exactly at beginning of carnival) and he just didnt click why. I just was so upset that he had blocked this whole thing from his brain.......and then had to hear "hey we should be looking forward, not looking back" blablabla.
I just cant understand. I feel like hes thinking Im a mad pyschowoman now.

Oh well.....good point of the day was I finally got my arse into gear and joined weightwatchers again. It worked a good few years ago for me. Im just doing it online though.
Gives me something else to obsess about apart from baby making.

Sorry for me.me.me post. I´ll come back later on. Just needed to get this off my chest.

owlbooty · 04/01/2011 18:29

Big Yay at the pukiness :) And yes, I was owlshoes :)

OrangeGloss · 04/01/2011 18:31

Nips in to give Owl an excited hug, oh I am pleased!! Grin

tigger15 · 04/01/2011 18:39

I just found the new thread and popped in because after 2 months of no positive results on cheapy amazon opk I splurged on cb and got a Smile today Grin.

I hope everyone is doing as well as possible and congratulations to those who have moved to the grads in between.

I didn't get my dr's appt because I had flu on the crucial date so have rescheduled for feb.

Must think positive until then.

Wombat33 · 04/01/2011 18:42

Thanks Owl - am hoping it's not just a case of norovirus Grin Grin

Choccy yey for joining weight watchers!! Sorry to hear DH gave you a meltdown. They just seem to process things differently don't they? My DH couldn't quite understand why I'd want to book a holiday to get away from it all on my dd for pg1. To him it may have been the date on which we were going to have a baby, but we're not having that baby any more, so it's gone back to being just another day Confused. I'm not sure whether I totally believe this is how he feels or whether he exaggerates it in a kind but midguided attempt to cheer me up and make me think positively. We all understand why you might not want to celebrate carnival this year so you can vent to us any time. hugs xxx

Wombat33 · 04/01/2011 18:43

Yey Tigger on the pos OPK! Get SWI-ing girl!!! Wink Grin

hadrian · 04/01/2011 19:00

Hello everyone, am now totally confused by two pages of posts but have worked out enough to say a big YAY to owl - that is wonderful, wonderful news. I'm presuming you haven't been indulging in any vole sandwiches recently...

wombat 2-3 weeks sounds fantastic - fx for you until Monday.

Hurrah for jiggle for making it back to the board - am really glad things are looking up for you. I've just about finished bleeding too - will be so glad to see the back of those foul pads :(. Onwards and upwards - am going to add myself to the WTTC list!

Hello to emoo, knitter, tigger, loola and back who I don't think I've met before - you all sound like lovely ladies. Welcome to loopy and sorry to hear about your tough year.

choccy sorry to hear DH is not quite getting it right. My DH sometimes thinks that being chipper and looking to the future is the right way to make me feel better when all I want is a hug and permission to cry and snot all over his Gap shirt. I tried writing down how I was feeling in my diary and showing it to him which worked brilliantly. He wasn't too keen on reading it at first but afterwards said he was surprised by how lucid and thoughtful I was...apparently he was expecting a manic stream of consciousness...

Have probably missed about 27 new posts while writing this.

The big Pink Positivity Plan

Ok ladies, I'm worried that I've built this up a bit too much, but it seems to be working ok so far, and has even made me only feel Envy rather than Envy Envy Envy at all the BFPs and good scan news in here at the moment (don't get me wrong, v v pleased for you all, just pissy 'tis not me....) also, I'm aware that what I'm about to write sounds like a complete load of bollox and hippy dippy nonsense but it really is working for me and is also recommended in "the baby making bible" which I would thoroughly recommend you spend some of your chrimbo money on as it's really really good.

Part 1- EFT
So my MIL is a hypnotherapist and worked very hard with me over the chrimbo break, not doing hypnosis but a thing called EFT. If you google EFT fertility, theres loads of websites that explain properly what to do, and show you where the acupuncture points on your face are. So what you need to do first is identify what is it that you're afraid of. For me it is that there's something wrong with my body that means I'll never carry a pregnancy to term, or that my body somehow poisons growing embryos. You state out loud what it is that you're afraid of ie. "even though I'm afraid that ...., I deeply and completely love and accept myself" while you tap acupuncture points on your face. I know the love and accept bit is a bit full on so you can make it something less weird to the same effect if you want. You keep doing this a few times round, then you say "even though I'm afraid that..., I choose...." and this is where you put positive affirmations in eg that you ovulate perfectly on time every month or basically what you want to programme your body to do, counteracting what you're afraid of. It's got to be positive though, nothing negative, and you keep doing this while continuing to tap the acupuncture points. The baby-making bible has Lots of example affirmations, as do the websites. I've been doing this a few minutes a day and it helps a lot.

Part 2 - yoga/meditation/visualisation

Ok so not sure what to call this part as I don't think it counts as doing any of the above properly but I have two favourite yoga poses for doing this-'legs up the wall' and 'reclined bound angle'. (google has lots of pictures, they are very easy) So I get in the pose and just concentrate on my breathing and push out all other thoughts. Then I visulise being massively pregnant, having a happy scan, holding my baby etc etc. If negative thoughts creep in, I just go back to concentrating on my breathing until I can start thinking the positive thoughts again. Those two poses are so relaxing and they are also supposed to be good for the ovaries etc so double benefit!!

I've also been actively trying to replace any negative thoughts that come into my head with positive ones, which is the hardest work of all....

So there you go-sorry it's mental but like I say, works for me!! If any of you live near Birmingham, I'd really recommend having an appointment with my MIL, I really think she's helped me turn a corner. PM me and I'll give you details.

lady hahaha you made me crack up last night, you are so funny!! It did freak me out a bit but HA, in your face, hiding is ACTUALLY a bell ringer too!! Grin

I have no phone battery left so no hope of catch up but glad to hear owly and womby are good and chocs totally understand why you're annoyed and why you don't want to celebrate xx really sorry haven't replied to everyone else xx
