Lissie that is tough - and I know as these days doesn't seem worth counting as all symptoms mean is another period.

I am sort of getting my head round not having another but at same time really want another. What gets me most is some I know who seem to have another do nothing but whine about ones they have or being pregnant ...

And if I see another thread moaning about finding out not having a boy or girl.

Is it wine time yet( am not always this stroppy but zoo
Nice not to have make small talk re others pregnancies etc)

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2011 16:18

I use the "hide" button rather liberally Wink

Hardandsleazy · 05/02/2011 16:38

Good plan- although on iPhone (hence erratic spelling and it's not so obvious how to hide).

Bisous · 05/02/2011 19:01

Hey gals, just catching up on the news... In the mean time anyone fancy a gin?

Bisous · 05/02/2011 19:18

Welcome new ladies hope you feel as relaxed here as i do. I find it hard to talk to anyone who understands and this thread title just hits the nail on head for me. Its been great meeting others who understand!!!

Bexamundo · 05/02/2011 19:24

Literal and metaphorical gin on the go. Have also drunk nearly a bottle of homemade wine. Yum!
Dh a bit sad that Man U lost to Wolves....

Bexamundo · 05/02/2011 19:26

ps welcome hardandsleazy.

Hardandsleazy · 05/02/2011 19:33

Thanks for welcome- White wine on go here .. Dd in bed... I have the remote

Bexamundo · 05/02/2011 20:18

I am alternating between g&t and homemade wine Grin.
What are you watching? I chose "the Mummy", quality cheesy film!

Hardandsleazy · 05/02/2011 20:39

True blood but I do like the mummy (and the mummy returns)

Pooch28 · 05/02/2011 21:13

Aaahhh a hut after my own heart - my lush of a Dad re-introduced me to the delights of G&T over Xmas... Am a MN virgin but that's where the similarity ends and had gone on a couple of other threads but the ladies there were far too nice and think I may have offended some of them with my coarse/vulgar SOH. Am in the 'staying pregnant' problem field having had 4 mc's over last 3 yrs but persuading DH to have SWI is like getting blood out of stone. So please may I join and I will try and temper my lewdness until I get to know you...
PS I don't know what the fuck babydust is but as it hasn't featured on my MC Consultant's list of things to know about am not too worried.

Hardandsleazy · 05/02/2011 21:20

Welcome pooch - I think baby dust is sometimes pictured on other sites where you have little pictures by your name and call yourself hon...Also to my knowledge no medical study on link between referring to baby dust and wanting to do violence.

True blood over- why is there fuck all on a saturday to watch or so I need to get a life?

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2011 21:25

ah, I was once offered babydust in rl. in a twee "maybe you need to relax, wishing babyust on you" convo. thought it was some new type of drug, fertility or otherwise. was ever so upset when i realised it wasnt Wink

welcome pooch, I think you'll fit in nicely Grin

am waiting for dh to come home from work. wish I had beer Sad

Bisous · 05/02/2011 21:29

So true, so many channels and sweet FA. And normally i like Casulty but it's a wierd one tonight all about Ruth, couldn't take any more so have gone to bed.

DH is away on business so it's me home alone with DS. I'm a bit of a wimp and get spooked easily on my own so i'm better hiding under the duvet with the ipad!

Gonna start OPK tomorrow, just hoping i dont get a smile before DH returns otherwise thats a month of Clomid down the toilet!

Bexamundo · 05/02/2011 21:31

suggest you ask DH to pop by 24hr Tesco to procure beer on way home?
Welcome pooch, we are all in diff. situations but generally fed up of TTC for various reasons!!
hardandsleazy is it just me or since we got all these channels via Virgin/sky/ digital do they jsut keep repeating the same old rubbish?!

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2011 21:32

when is dh due home? how have you found the clomid? it made me evil I genuinely felt sorry for dh at times. I once woke him up in the night to rant at him about going to the pub. 5 years previously.

Bisous · 05/02/2011 21:41

Sorry lissielou, that sounds so funny - 5 years!!

I was like that a few months ago when my hormones were all messed up. Havent found Clomid too bad (i've heard of horror stories) just feel a bit fuzzy headed most of the time.

DH is home Monday and my last Clomid day was Thursday so it should be OK.

How many cycles of Clomid did you do?

Hardandsleazy · 05/02/2011 21:43

Oh dear - I did smile at your post lissie but I know clomid a pain from friends and lol at the babydust. If i had a pound for
Every it will happen when you least expect it comment...

Yes- I agree re channels. Was gagging for sky Atlantic and then half
Of it is documentaries with mariella frostrup or in the actors studio (an hour of ponceville). A friend said she actually caught them
Repeating Albion market on UK gold.

Am thinking of cutting booze right out but thinkhace already given up caffeine and don't have much else and at times only a drink will do

Bisous · 05/02/2011 21:48

LoL Hard, i too think i will slap the next person who tells me to 'forget about it and it'll happen!' Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Mariella thats enough for me to avoid that channel

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2011 21:58

hardandsleazy (love the name btw) when I was newly upduffed with ds I got so hammered I fell over - twice, got so stoned I had to be put to bed, smoked 20 a day, inhaled coffee, worked 18hr days, was underweight and climbed onto the top of the restaurant i managed in torrential rain to clear the gutters. he was great. have a beer!

bisious, I did 7 cycles in total. had impressive ovarian action and got upduffed (twas not to be) but the side effects were awful. my skin was craterous, my hair was both frizzy and greasy at the same time and The Rage? I was terrifying.

one woman told us to adopt a baby because then we would be "certain to get pregnant" oh yes, because children ARE meant to be used as pawns in our games against luck arent they?

Bisous · 05/02/2011 22:13

Ahhh lissie i hadn't even connected the two... My skin is a complete mess at the moment and my hair isn't behaving either! Makes sense now!

Oh i've heard the adoption one too! PLEEEEEZE what are these people on?!

Was at a birthday party with DS the other day and in a group of chatting mums had another mum go on and on and on about how i should have another DC, to the point i was nearly in tears! for how long is it possible to say to people politely with a smile, 'we might start thinking about it soon' (or that sort of thing). I am very close to openly shouting WE ARE TRYING AND ITS NOT BLOODY WORKING!!

Pooch28 · 05/02/2011 22:24

lissie haven't had the 'adopt a baby' one yet but I'm sure its only a matter of time. We have managed to reproduce successfully on one occasion and yes Bisous people keep asking me why/when we're having another one. Can't be bothered to recount my dismal mc history to them so just ignore them.
Sat night tv is crap isn't it, copious amounts of hop-based drinks get me through and almost lull me into thinking I've been out.

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2011 22:34

my reply varies between "we'll see" "I doubt it" and "well we had sex last night 13 days after my last period which was med-heavy flow, lasted 6 days and was the end of a 29d cycle, sex was doggy style, so we'll see hwta happens shall we. are you having unprotected sex"

tends to work...

Bexamundo · 05/02/2011 22:49

Lissielou I have toyed with similar responses esp woman at work who asked how my little one was, I explained have no little one, you must be thinking of D Nephew, she says 'why don't you have a little one?'. Sorry does our subfertility not fit into your perception of how our lives should be? Other people are stupid and insensitive!

OracleInaCoracle · 05/02/2011 22:51

i mean, what they are asking you is "do you have regualr unprotected sex?" I wouldnt ask my 26yo, single sister that, so why is it ok to ask me?
