MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 21:45

hi galwaygel Day 2 over here

indiechick · 05/01/2011 21:46

Can I join? Apparently I'm menopausal at the age of 37, quite depressing really.

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 21:48

Hi Indiechick says who? I have been misdiagnosed too many times to every be able to take one doctors word for it ever again.

Jules81 · 05/01/2011 21:49

Hi,

New to all this, having real problems-is there room for me.ttc for about 18 months, had a positive test in august then it all fell apart, to top it all been told by gp now not ovulating and possibly ovulation doesn't happen that often!!periods are over 50 days apart now :-( waiting for hospital appointment, so no clomid yet :-(

To add to it, 2 friends are pregnant...one with twins!if one more person tells me to relax and my time will come you may see me on the news!!!! I'll take my sip of gin now!

Jules

MummyAbroad · 05/01/2011 22:52

Hello Jules sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you been diagnosed with PCOS then?

OracleInaCoracle · 05/01/2011 22:56

can i come back too? welcome to all newcomers!

Im so pissed off. have been too ill this month to ttc, and have had a shitter of a day trying to mod on FB

Jules81 · 06/01/2011 19:00

Nope mummy onboard...not pcos according to the gp as can't see anything but only no ovulation wrong with me! But I've got a lot of the symptoms and have ceoliacs which I've read can be a factor. The lovely woman who did my scan told me I had very flat straight insides Grin which I think is my only plus point !!!Grin

JRsandCoffee · 06/01/2011 19:03

Hello again, just popping in to say hello, off to find the sloe gin and some tonic as have had a rubbish day. Apparently this is a nice combo and is infinately more appealing than the idea of going on turbo trainer for half an hour!

I'll second anyone who wants to murder anyone who tells them that their time will come... Just exactly WHEN? is all we really want to know!

Jules81 · 06/01/2011 22:16

Every time...will someone please give me an eta! My friend who's having twins is having babies 5 and 6!! Angry

broccolitrees · 07/01/2011 16:25

pass the chocolate over here please... and the alcohol... thanks

hello newbies Sad sorry you're here but you're always welcome.

well, still having beta blood tests, at least the morning sickness and sore boobs have settled down, hopefully it was the last one this morning. have started bleeding AGAIN too (bleed for a week, stop for a week, bleed, stop, bleed, etc), but if the beta has gone right down it may actually be a period - that would be a novelty at the minute wouldn't it? have stinking period pain, but i would be grateful if it was the end to this sorry state of affairs, and it was actually day 1.

rant over, off to cook tea for dd and her school friend... tis the first time she has had someone over - how cute Grin

OracleInaCoracle · 09/01/2011 14:27

fingers crossed broccoli, when do you get the result?

broccolitrees · 09/01/2011 18:02

result was 8! which amazingly just about tallies with what it should be since the last one if it does indeed half every 48 hours!! that is the first time it has done what it is supposed to have done one more test i reckon - i am so glad. how bizarre - to be so chuffed that pregnancy signs and symptoms are not presentHmm

Muser · 09/01/2011 23:26

Hester eh? Sounds like a rum sort. Grin

I like the Feck off with your babydust one as well. Maybe one day all the threads will be babydust free? Just say no kids.

Muser · 09/01/2011 23:27

Hahahaha. Ignore me folks. Was admiring your thread elsewhere but obviously can't post properly. Lovely thread you have. I'm not going to withdraw that post because it is Too Funny. Here, have another bottle of gin.

MummyAbroad · 10/01/2011 00:25

Jules tell me to piss off if its personal, but whats ceoliacs? I've never heard of it.

brocoli sounds like you are more in need of the gin than all of us put together. Hope you get your

galwaygal · 10/01/2011 09:57

broccoli - good to hear you are down to 8, and that the symptoms have gone. I have found with my m/c's that my symptoms seem to go by the time I get to less than 10, it is also when I generally start the bleeding to!

Jules - you probrably have, but just wanted to check if you had seen the ceoliac and m/c threads on miscarriage topic thread?

M/A - not sure what we have available here stronger than gin, but just put an order in with the nice man at the door he will sort you out!!!

My fun for today is to go to my gynae appointment to be told that I am too old to concieve!!!! Yes today I should be getting the results of the AMH test and progesterone test (which is a bit weird as I was taking progesterone suppliments when told to get the blood test!!!!). Oh well another opportunity for the medical system to see what they can say and not make me mad!

thumbwitch · 10/01/2011 10:04

Hello - can I join please? I have DS who is 3.1 and have been ttc no. 2 for over 2y. Had an early MC last Christmas and haven't managed to achieve anything at all in 2010. Am getting steadily more ancient (43) and more downhearted but haven't yet started interventions - that is this year's project. Will be going to the doc's this month to get my hormone levels tested again (they were fine last March but that's a long while ago now) and then we'll go from there.

At least my GP now is sympathetic - the first one I saw, 2w after my MC, told me that I really should stop bothering to try as I already had one and was really too old to try for a second - fucker.

Sad that this thread is needed but hope that at least some people on here get lucky.

thumbwitch · 10/01/2011 10:05

Oh, please can I have grappa instead of gin? Gin has a weird effect on me...

OracleInaCoracle · 10/01/2011 12:21

afternoon, welcome to all newcomers, sorry you have to be here. I hope you will find the hut as helpful as i have

Jules81 · 10/01/2011 21:17

Hi everyone,

Mummyaboard-no problems, sorry it's probably me spelling it wrong! Ceoliacs is an allergy to gluten, it makes my body attack itself if I eat it-it causes problems with my intestine and digestive system. Some studies show that it can cause fertility problems in those diagnosed later in life (I was diagnosed at 20!)

Galwaygirl-I did have a quick look at them the other day thanks for thinking of me.

Right, who's up for another drink?!

OracleInaCoracle · 12/01/2011 15:49

me! period is on its way,, I have that trademark "wipe" and my skin is more cratory than the moon. and The Rage is impressive.

63 cycles (give or take) and counting.

thumbdabwitch · 14/01/2011 12:33

Friday night here - drink would be nice. Waiting to see if my period is coming next week, probably tuesday but could be wednesday or thursday, depending on whether or not I've gone back to a steady 26day cycle.

Am eating too much chocolate. It's not good for me. But it's very yummy and it has almonds in so that makes it more of a healthfood.Wink

Bewildermum · 14/01/2011 17:26

Hallo, this seems like the place for me.. can I come in? V&T for me please.

Thumbdawitch, did you mention nutty chocolate?

I'm 41, have DD who is 3.5 and have been trying for a second for 2 years. We're "unexplained" so far although I still have to have tubes checked. Have seen very nice consultant twice, but have sort of decided not to go for IVF. Very downhearted too and wondering whether to give up altogether...but...can't...quite...accept it!

(and there are babies ehhhhhverywhere!)

Cheers!

MrsHende · 15/01/2011 23:21

Hello ladies, I'm loving this place - have put on a flapper dress and headband and brought gin, is there room for another?

I'm 34 (ancient I'm told by my doc Hmm) and we've been ttc for 10 months now. Went to docs to begin investigations 2 weeks ago. All results so far say I'm normal...

My period arrive this evening and I'm gutted :(.

Make mine a large one!
