well that wasn't so bad.

of course it wasn't the Consultant (didn't really expect to see him at 1st appt) but a lovely female Dr (Chinese and I swear she was about 13) and we also had a med student sit in on the consultation.
Don't know why i bothered filling in the questionnaire, as she didn't read it and asked me the questions all over again. GP had been rubbish and not forwarded relevant stuff for DH so she had to phone through to get the results from his SA as she wanted to check the actual figures for herself.
I had an internal exam and i had to ask Dh to go out to the waiting room again as I just couldn't face having it done with him sat there (even if he was the other side of the curtain)

So I came away with paperwork for Day 2 and 21 bloods, she wants them done soon as and ii'm assuming they need to be done in the same cycle which means it will be august before i can manage that. I just feel like we put so much off last year on the 'just in case i'm pregnant' premise that i can't give over so much of my life to that again.
Am awaiting an appointment for an ultrasound and she told me they will do the hsg at the same appointment

Please, please, please let me already be pregnant. Please. I feel wrung out by this and i'm only at the beginning.

day 27. last cycle was 37, mostly have 33 but had one 30 thrown in for good measure.
So i could get AF any time from Sunday. Just what i need, to be on my period while camping and especially at a festival

I did spend the first 20 mins in the waiting room stopping the tears from springing to my eyes as it was full of pregnant women (as i thought it would be) but then they filtered out and it seemed to fill up with other couples for fertility appts (central waiting room, separate departments either side). It was full of boards promoting breast feeding and birth pools and cancer of the nether regions - but no fertility stuff at all. And a tiny sign that said 'please ask a member of staff if you would like to move to a separate waiting area'...

Cannot fault the staff though, the nurse we had was absolutely wonderful.

oh and i sat there and realised that almost exactly six years ago i was sat in that room waiting for my 20 week scan with DS. That made my heart go, and I felt the tears rising. It was definitely June because I remember being 20 weeks when Glastonbury festival was on, and watching it on the telly thanking the cosmos that i'd decided not to go as it was the year of the biblical flood....

QR, as far as I know the blood tests don't need to be done on the same cycle. Mine were in the end but only because the first day 21 after I was sent for them fell slap bang in the middle of the royal wedding long weekend.

thank you euro i'll probably manage my 21 this month and my day two next month in that case.

I felt really flat last night, always do after hospital visits as I get anxiety quite badly and have to work hard to keep on top of it. It means I always have a bit of a flop after the event.

Now starting to think about getting ready for our trip away.

Crap, af arrived last night, full force this morning. Will have to go to fertility appt afterall.(was obviously hoping for ironic bfp avoidance).

sorry to hear that faith

i think i may be gearing up for AF. I have just got really grumpy with DH because i was trying to have a long soak in a hot bath (our immersion has been knackered so this is the first time in weeks i've had proper hot water) and there was a spider running round the edge. I shouted him to come and move it and he didn't hear cos he's listening to music in the front room.
I am particularly p'd off with him because the other night i had to rescue him from a spider so he could chill out in the bath.

I've had to get out of the bath and now i'm so annoyed there's no point trying to get back in, i won't relax and it was the last chance for me to wallow and soak before i spend 10 days living under canvas in a muddy field.
I feel i am maybe irrationally angry about this, but I am really properly very grumpy.

and i haven't packed my bag yet.

and i can't be arsed to go on holiday now.

and i miss DS

Sorry you had a rubbish bath! It's so disappointing isn't it?! Ah you'll enjoy your holiday when you're on it, just tough gearing up when your hormones are haywire. Absence makes the heart grow fonder re Ds!
