I will however POAS tomorrow as that cheers me up no end.

mousebacon · 18/12/2010 16:58

Hi ladies, hope you're having a good day.

Sadly, all I have to report is more 'spotting' but there's more this time (in the loo) and there are bits of red. I'm trying to be pragmatic about it but who knows eh? My follow up scan is on thurs so I should know either way then. This will not ruin Christmas for us!

It's my work's night out tonight - I've cunningly offered to drive so should by home before 11 I reckon.

Going to tape strictly and enjoy it with a hot chocolate when I get back. xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 18/12/2010 17:10

ah mouse :( not reassuring for you at all :( hope you are doing ok and roll on that scan. Izzy i think is the one who bled during her pgs, so i will wait for her to come along. All is not lost lovely, although me saying that probably doesnt help !

GetDownYouWillFall · 18/12/2010 17:12

Oh mouse so sorry to hear about the spotting, hope it's not what you fear. Hopefully the scan on thursday will allay your fears. Have you taken your temps lately or POAS? Hope all will be well.

spilt I understand the desire to keep temping, but if it's torturing yourself, prob best to stop. As I recall my pregnancy chart with DD did wobble around quite a lot. And remember it is flippin cold at the moment, so that could account for a bit of a dip couldn't it... it's good you've still got strong symptoms and the lines are strong.

nix I know how you feel re the snow! I bet there are loads of people that were planning on doing some Christmas shopping today that can't get out the house! We just took the dog out for a walk and the dog went mental, digging in the snow and charging around like a loony Grin Am going to be in a bit of a dilemma on sunday night as supposed to be at work on monday.

LadyGoneGaga · 18/12/2010 17:34

Really sorry you're spotting again, Mouse - really hope it's nothing. Have everything crossed for you xxx

Battery will be 8+4.

Spilt please stop temping. Will tell you nothing at this point. I took mine for the laugh the other day and it was down about 0.6F from the peak so sure it's nothing to worry about.

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 18/12/2010 18:22

Hi mouse sorry to hear about the spotting, and I really hope it's nothing and the scan on Thursday will put your mind at rest. nix is right - I had bleeding in all my pgs (3). With ds I had a proper af and didn't realise I was actually pg until my second af which was lighter than usual but did still turn up. With dd and dc3 I also had some bleeding (although not as much) when af would have been due. In all cases there was nothing wrong. With dc3 I also had a gush of red blood at about 9.5 weeks which scared the life out of me but again, nothing wrong. As you know, I did go on to have a mmc at 16 weeks with dc3 but I honestly believe this was completely unrelated to the bleed since he was growing well and thriving at least until my 13 week scan.

So it is more common than you might think - although I know that won't stop you worrying, but I hope it gives you some reassurance. I can well remember how scary it was so I'll be thinking of you thus week and hope you don't have any more reason to worry. Thursday must seem ages away - is there any chance you could request an earlier scan?

Big ((((hugs)))) x

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 18/12/2010 20:07

mouse i agree with Izz, any chance you can get to your epu earlier (monday morning) or go to a and e over the weekend? Hope so xxx

Iwish · 18/12/2010 20:16

Hi mouse sorry to hear about the spotting. Fingers crosses everything is ok, will be thinking about you x

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 19/12/2010 09:56

Morning all, hope you're all ok this morning (especially mouse and all our other pg ladies)

well I had a thoroughly confusing temp this morning and could use your opinions -dh woke me up at about 4am and I forgot to temp until about half an hour later after moving around, talking etc. Temp was down to 36.07 (should be 3rd day of high). Tried again about half an hour later (still not been to sleep) and it was 36.21. Went back to sleep, woke up about 7 and did temp straight away - 36.46.

I put the last one in to ff and it drew the crosshairs but feel like I've cheated a bit because of the earlier lower temps - which one would you have gone for?

Suppose I'll just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings [impatient emoticon]

PinkCustard · 19/12/2010 10:55

Hello, thanks for all your replies. I seem to have had a temp rise (well above coverline) yesterday, although it was several days after Ovulation...will wait to see if AF arrives when expected to confirm O date, but from TCOYF she does say it can take a few days for progesterone to build up etc so hopefully it's right.

Thanks again x

Iwish · 19/12/2010 11:19

Morning all! Hope you are all ok Xmas Smile.

mouse hope you are ok today.

Just wanted to drop in and ask your advice. I have been doing opks and yesterday I did 3 at various times of the day and got a line but not as dark as the test line and today I havnt got s line at all. Do you think I should put yesterday's result as a positive even tho it wasn't darker? If so I would expect of OV yesterday/today or tomorrow?

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/12/2010 11:25

Hi Izzy well 4 am is pretty darn early, and it's freezing so not really a surprise that temps were low..... but I agree they probably should have been higher if you had ov'd. Also your yesterday;s temp wasn't that high either..... are you def sure you've ov'd????

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/12/2010 11:27

Iwish it's not a positive OPK unless the line is as dark, or darker, than the test line. You can get a faint line at other times because LH is always present in small concentrations in your urine. You may have got a faint line yesterday as your urine could have been more concentrated than today.

Once you get a positive OPK you can normally expect to ov within 12-48 hours.

I would keep going with the OPKs until you get a positive.

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 19/12/2010 12:16

getdown I had a pos opk and cbfm peak on cd15, also cm indicates ov then...so I'm fairly certain...

Think I will discard today's temp and see what happens tomorrow, but it's all a bit odd..

Iwish · 19/12/2010 12:18

Thanx getdown. I got v faint lines on Friday and yesterday they were almost as dark but not as dark. Cervix has changed to HSO and have had loads of EWCM so no idea what flipping body is doing. chart
how are you feeling today?

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 19/12/2010 12:52

I am curled up in bed with the lurgy! :(

Iwish · 19/12/2010 13:49

Aww poor nix! :(

GetDownYouWillFall · 19/12/2010 14:56

thanks Iwish I am feeling ok today (no sign of ov though) but we currently have 17 people here for early Christmas lunch so feeling a bit stressed!!!!

Iwish · 19/12/2010 15:20

17 people! Bloody hell. I can't even cook for 2! Maybe stress is delaying OV. If it makes you feel even slightly better (which i suspect it may not) I thought I would be OVing v soon but my lines on opks have dissspeared so I'm back to the waiting game but I'm only cd16.

Iwish · 19/12/2010 15:23

Sorry I have just repeated myself from earlier! I meant for it to say I am in the same boat as you (ish).

batteryturkey · 19/12/2010 15:32

Poor nix

17 people for dinner?? I wouldn't fit 17 people in my house!

iwish if your lines are getting darker then it can only mean you are gering up for ov!

Nothing to report here, doing lots of baking, am 9dpo, have been feeling sick yesterday and today with sore boobies, but I think I am reading too much in to it! Will know this time next week. Am going to settle down now and watch a christmas film of some sort :)

spilttheteaagain · 19/12/2010 15:48

Wow good luck with the cooking Getdown. And I thought I was brave cooking for 7 last Christmas (however it was CRAMPED as our house is tiny!)

I am a whole 5 weeks today Smile and so bloody nervous Sad. Early pregnancy really is the pits, it's so (justifiably) terrifying. Every ache, every twinge, every damp sensation has me running to the loo, stomach churning, to knicker check. I'd forgotten this bit Sad. I also had a very vivid dream last night about miscarrying and woke up in a right fret.

It does sound like you're nearly there Iwish, keep going!

Poor Nix, some paracetamol, plenty to drink and lots of rest.

How are you mouse?

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 19/12/2010 15:52

With you re knocker checking spilt!!

spilttheteaagain · 19/12/2010 15:55

My knockers are fine thanks Nix Wink
