getdown and battery I also wake up before I actually 'wake up' and take my temp at 7 apart from last weekend I forgot to set an alarm and FF told me off! I was only an hour late at 8am.

getdown I'm sorry you are so frustrated. Maybe you will ov in a few more days. I thought I'd ov 11-14 as my cycles have been 25-27 apart from the last one at a random 32 but looks like I may be headed for a long one too. Fingers crossed for you :)

Cd14 for me here and I am so excited - got a bit of EWCM and the faintest line ever on an opk at 5pm!! so maybe I'll ov soon Might be really sad tomorrow and do opks at my usual times of 7am and 5pm but throw one in at lunch time and see if I can get a line.

Hope you had a nice birthday getdown. I had a very frustrating long cycle last month so can sympathise. Fingers crossed it will be soon for you.

mouse, I haven't done all of my christmas shopping either. I got looks of horror from people at work when I said I hadn't done any on Tuesday so went home and did lots of online shopping that night. Most of it has arrived already but got a few bits left to get.

It was my work christmas do last night and I may have accidentally had one too many glasses of wine. Had a monster hangover today complete with hugging the toilet bowl this morning. A bit odd as I wasn't that drunk.

Ah ladies, I need your advice. CD 25 and got good temp rise today but have just recorded my first +ve opk tonight.

Any opinions? Is it possible to ov but still record a +ve opk the next day?
It's possible my temp rise is due to alcohol but my ov days are getting later and later - think the opks are doing my head in a bit - may stop doing them next cycle.
Still SWI tonight, so trying to be quite calm but I guess i will only know once i have the next few days temps.

Too early for triphasic battery, that would happen at about 10dpo (after implantation). Here's hoping for you!

Evening all!! Well temp took another tumble this morning but no AF yet but have just started having cramps and a bit of backache so I reckon she'll be here in the morning GRRRRRR!!!
Oh well, guess I can add pate & cider to the food shopping list this week

pinkcustard - my thermometer also flashes Lo but according to the instructions for mine, this is normal. When I turn it on it flashes up the last temp taken and then flashes with Lo which means it's time to pop it in my mouth. I've been relying on DP to give me a prod when it beeps as with this blimmin ear infection I can't hear it beeping when it's done!

battery gosh coming at you from all angles :( Looking at that chart, if it continues you may very well be joining them before christmas x The week i got my bfp this time, my ttcpg2 buddy delivered baby harry, and my workpal who fell whilst on the pill and didnt really want it delivered baby annabelle! I console myself by saying 'Harry Potter' and 'Baby Annabelle' the doll, but clearly i am just smacked arsed :)

I shouldbe at xmas do tonight, but sacked it off, as everyone would be asking why not drinking, and cos they put us up in the hotel i couldnt use driving as an excuse.

Am intrigued about the LH pee sticks after the ov on temps... how does that work then? Ive heard of temp rising a day or two or longer after a pee stick....oh go on put me out of my misery or i shall have to look up TCOYF!!

Hi Franjam when I looked at your chart, my first feeling was that I thought you OV on day 16, I know you noted EWCM a couple of patches after, I quite often get what looks like it about 4dpo and also just before my period and I think that TCOYF does mention this is possible because of estrogen surges at these points. Anyway, I just thought I'd mention it - feel free to ignore

Terrys I will repeat it. Those tests cause so much heartache for precisely this reason. Don't rely on them. You are pregnant and have no reason to believe that anything has gone wrong.

Wow, Izz your charts are really showing an amazing progression in terms of OV pulling back into a more normal timeframes. You're looking good lady, well done. I hope DH & I do half as well.

MrsA You could have caught the tail end of the LH surge, or it could have just been strong enough to prompt an egg to pop out quickly? It's a good rise, but I guess you need to see what happens next.

Hello ladies. Can't sleep so here I am!

MrsA what time did you do your OPK the day before getting a pos? You could have had your surge later the previous day, ovulated hence the temp shift and LH still be hanging around the next day. That's why OPK's aren't always perfect for timing conception i.e. if you are ONLY relying on OPK's and ONLY have sex when you get a pos you may be doing it too late. See what your temps have done this morning but I'd say you may have ovved day before the pos OPK but prob late that day.

Nix I missed Xmas party too - just feeling rubbish and couldn't be arsed quite frankly. Felt a bit yesterday when heard all the stories but only for a few minutes!

The stress in my life with the cat continues- fur is flying as I try and ram tablets down her throat - she hasn't eaten for 2 days as I have tried putting them in her food!
I was woken at 7.30 by someone hammering on th door - scared the bejesus out of me - but was a delivery man delivering DP's xmas pressie. I was looking a picture stood there in my pink thermal pj's with hair looking very wild. I think i gave him a fright!

battery and those wondering about opks and ov-ing beforehand - I don't really know anything about that but I know on one cycle my acupuncturist was sure I had ov'd the day before I got my cbfm peak and she didn't seem to think this was unusual. I'm more inclined to trust her than the cbfm actually so I would say it's possible.

Right well after my lovely temp rise yesterday, a slight dip today. Am not overly thrilled by this, but not going to worry too much as all the signs pointed to ov on Thursday and I've tried playing around and as long as tomorrow's temp is over 36.25 it's going to draw the crosshairs at cd15 (Thurs) anyway. So will just have to wait and see!

Hello all! It's the weekend yay!

Had a lovely meal out with DH last night which was great, very romantic. SWI was a bit less mechanical as a result

CD 18 for me, still no sign of ov (thanks for asking after me Izzy )

It's frustrating but trying not to stress too much.

Had an email from an old university friend yesterday that I haven't spoken to in ages, saying they've been trying for a baby for 5 years and are now approaching the IVF route. Feel so sad for her They are such lovely, fun, caring people too - would make brilliant parents.

It's kind of put my frustrations into perspective, so am trying not to moan about my own situation so much

Well, spent this morning with my head down the loo,,, whoop!! DS has been poorly and let me lie in tl nearly 9 :) woke up with lower back ache, suspecting the worst, and then weed, vommed and sat scoffing toast feeling good :)

LadyG I feel sick just thinking about having a scan. I'll be thinking of you and praying it's good news.

I am going to have to stop temping now I think, it is just making me shit scared, see chart. I am sure that the dip in temps means nothing but it is making me really wibbly. However on the plus side I have lots of creamy CM, no bleeding, pg test lines getting consistently darker, temps still way above coverline so every reason to think things are ok, no?

And the only reason I took my temp this morning was that I thought it would reassure me as the previous one had dipped so if it was up I would be happier again... Damnit.

Still ravenous.

Izzy your chart looks fine. I seem to recall from TCOYF that one type of pattern is called a "fallback" where at 1DPO you get a high temp, 2DPO a lower one and 3DPO onwards higher again. You've had that in one of your previous cycles I notice.

DP and I have just fought our way through the snow to have s nosey round the shops. Woke up to 4" this morning from 0 when we went to bed!! Love it.
