Back from scan.

Little wriggly, baked potato with a heartbeat of 176. Measuring just about spot on (one day out, 1.9cm!) so feel very reassured and going to try and enjoy this now. Blubbed my head off. Then blubbed again in supermarket at all the Mum's with two children happily playing with each other. Wahhh.

Just got 12 week scan to get through but apparently risk of mc drops a lot once you have seen a HB at 8 weeks - I know there are no guarantees but much, much happier.

Got my booking in appt at Midwife this afternoon. All getting a bit real! Grin

Thanks for all the good wishes, ladies Xmas Grin

Good that your Doc was reassured, Nix. And sounds like things going better for you, *Mouse.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 20/12/2010 13:01

Hi ladees will have a proper catch up later, just did a cb Digi and it's showing the Max pregnant 3+ which puts me at min of 5 weeks plus but that's the max isn't it for those tests :)

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 20/12/2010 13:10

G that is just the most awesome news:) fabulousxxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 20/12/2010 13:10

mrsA I'm going to go for cd24 too, with a fallback. Fx you'll get your crosshairs tomorrow!

iwish that is a bit confusing - is there any chance you've already ov'd and the opks have missed it?

battery sounds hopeful, will keep my fx for pg and not lurgy!!!

ladygg fab news!!! Hope the mw appt makes it all seem real Xmas Grin

nix yes that is the max and is exactly what I got at 6weeks+ last time. How are you doing? x

spilttheteaagain · 20/12/2010 13:19

LadyG that is FANTASTIC! Grin I'm so chuffed for you. According to the MC association you now have a 98% chance of going to term having seen the HB after 8 weeks. Hope that is a nice reassuring stat.

I have just got home from work after doing nothing all morning apart from staring out the window at the snow and whimpering in fear. Eventally asked to take a half day and legged it at 11.30. Only lost control of the car 3 times.... twice I was expecting it to happen because of the road/slope/angles so was doing about 1mph in first gear so it was far from dramatic thankfully. I hate the snow. Now need to extract my neck from my shoulders!

Nix yes I believe 3+ is the max so it's good that your hormones are still nice and high. So sorry about the discharge, I can only imagine how scary it must be as it's not something I've experienced yet but I live in dread. Knicker checking continues.

terrys I am actually really lucky and had the flu jab about 2 weeks before I conceived so I don't have your dilemma, but I think if I was you I would have the jab. I don't envy you the choice though. Have a look in the pregnancy boards, there's some discussions about it there.

Iwiush obv a bit early to be sure, but my hunch is you are 1dpo, looking your signs (ignoring OPK negatives as that doesn't mean no ovulation). Wait and see what the next days bring, but that's my thoughts.

GetDownYouWillFall · 20/12/2010 13:21

LadyG am so pleased to hear that your scan went well, size perfect for dates and you saw the little heartbeat! How wonderful!

Grow babyG Grow!

spilttheteaagain · 20/12/2010 13:27

mouse glad you've got no more spotting and still have lots of nasty symptoms. When's your follow up scan?

Izzy so sorry about the row. It's hard and I feel for you. As others have said, at least you are now in the LP so no more pressure on the sex for a while. Hope you have a nice evening together.

I'm hoping for you battery! When you get home can you relink your chart? I can't find it, and I love a good chart stalk of those in the last part of the 2ww Smile Glad your DP's found a way home too.

MrsA I am going to be different and say CD26. Either way you have a nice pattern of SWI so have covered both bases!

GetDown good call on not going to work (not that I know where you are) but I wish I hadn't! The journey in was fine, but then it started snowing and snowing and snowing and suffice it to say I did NOT enjoy my travel home! Hope you sleep better tonight

spilttheteaagain · 20/12/2010 13:28

heehee GetDown that is just what I keep telling my stomach! Alternating between "grow little bean, grow" and "stick little bean, stick!"

Hello to anyone I've missed Smile

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 20/12/2010 13:33

LadyG, that is fab news, really pleased for you. I'm having a bit of difficulty getting through to my docs to make my booking appointment. Looks as though it might have to be in the new year now, although,Id prefer it sooner rather as the fact that I havent seen any medical professionals yet - it till doesnt seem real!

GetDownYouWillFall · 20/12/2010 13:36

thanks spilt I was starting to feel a bit guilty about not going into work, but you've made me feel a bit better!

I am a bit of a whus when it comes to driving. Fine in good conditions, but throw in a bit of tricky ice into the equation and I am a nervous wreck!

Glad to hear you are home safe and sound! And here's grow baby vibes for you too: Grow BabySpilt GROW!!! Grin

I've got some EWCM today - please pop out soon little egg, please?!!

GetDown's chart

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 20/12/2010 13:38

Spilt - I've just seen that you were still charting - I've hoped you've packed that in now missy! I ditched (well, stuffed in a drawer) the thermometer on the day that I got my BFP purley cos I knew I'd panic at any tiny dip, that and the fact I didnt want to wake up at 6am to take my temp on my days off :)

spilttheteaagain · 20/12/2010 13:40

Ooh GetDown a high soft cervix and EWCM?? I'm crossing my fingers for you.

And don't feel guilty about work AT ALL, you are on A/L which you are perfectly entitled to. Nothing to feel guilty about. Enjoy your day off!

spilttheteaagain · 20/12/2010 13:41

IfAtFirst I have now (probably!) stopped.

My name is Spilt and it is 2 days since I last temped.

Sits back down at her place in the circle.

GetDownYouWillFall · 20/12/2010 13:46

you can still temp but just don't put it on FF so noone tells you off!!! Grin

batteryturkey · 20/12/2010 13:56

ladyg fab fab fab :)

Split - here is my chart - stalk away :) Well done on abstaining from temping for a whole 2 days :)
here

TerrysNo2 · 20/12/2010 14:07

LadyG wooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooo Grin Grin Grin. You are bringing back memories of my 8 week scan last time, DS was 1.8cm when we first saw him and it was amazing to see that there was a real live thing inside me (although I did feel a bit like an alien spacecraft)!! The stats are on your side now! Smile I have booked a private scan for the 7th January and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

battery your chart looks good - nice steady temp rise and a dip at 8dpo. FX for you. spilt I love chart stalking too Grin.

GetDown - do just that!! Smile

Iwish have you done OPK's before? How many are you doing a day. My first 2 months I didn't get a +ve at all and then I bought another lot and that month (when I conceived) I got a very strong positive twice in the same day.

Nix am very Envy at your 3 weeks + on the CB Digi, I took 2 at the weekend and they both said 1-2 weeks. I have one left and am saving it for thursday. I will be 26dpo then and so even if implantation occured at 10dpo (got my first +ve test at 11dpo) then it should be enough of a break to say 2-3 weeks. Right?!!? Please someone reassure me as I am stressing a bit about this. Sad

Iwish · 20/12/2010 15:13

Bi ladyg fab news about the scan!!

Hi izzy I did get a dark ish line (well 3 to be precise lol) on Saturday but they weren't quite as dark as the control line. I was hoping I had OV'd yesterday and still hope I have :)

Thanks split hope I am 1dpo lol. I'll see what FF says in the next couple of days :) I hope your trip home wasn't too scary. I gave to go to work tomorrow and my car doesn't like snow..

Come on eggy for getdown!

Hi terrys I tried opks last cycle but had a longer cycle so ran out of them lol. This time I've been doing 2 a day and on Saturday when I got a dark ish line I did 3 lol. And please calm down, I'm sure everything is ok x

Sorry not name checking but I'm in the car whole DP is driving and I'm feeling rather sick.

Iwish · 20/12/2010 15:14

I meant *while DP is driving! Stupid phone

spilttheteaagain · 20/12/2010 15:40

Now that's a very attractive looking chart battery. Hoping for your Christmas BFP!

Hope you are home safe now Iwish

MrsP81 · 20/12/2010 19:29

Hello everyone

We finally had some snow here this weekend, yay! I wasn?t as pleased about it this morning when I had to drive to work though.

mouse good news about feeling very pregnant, I have all my fingers and toes crossed for your scan.

Woohoo LadyG, that?s fab news! Very happy for you.

Glad to hear the doctor wasn?t too concerned nix, hope you feel more reassured now.

I?m going to stalk your chart too battery, it looks goooood. Xmas Smile

And terrys, I hope you can stop worrying too much. Easier said than done I know.

Sorry if I?ve missed anyone (which I know I have), I don?t go on MN at work and by the time I come home you?ve all said soooooooo much!

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 20/12/2010 22:08

Hi ladies,
Manic busy time at work at the moment - not great for my sleep as I'm up til after midnight trying to get things ticked off lists, and definitely no good for SWI. Must do better though as we're nearing the crucial point - I'm getting a bit twingey and achey but decided against CBFM this month so am just going on stats and EWCM. Although did have my first few attempts at judging cervical position as well - it's not easy is it Grin. I guess it's like everything - takes practice.

Chart is more erratic than usual with illness and not great sleep - but it's following the usual sort of pattern. Just got to get DH on board (so to speak Blush) these next few days.

So what's going on with all the ladies here? Pregnant ones will be worrying..that's a given. Shall go and peruse to see who has interesting charts..

Battery your comment about the delivery man seeing you in your pyjamas made me laugh. They must see some sights these days, with so many people shopping on line. We've had a some great timing - including the doorbell ringing while DS was on potty. Persuading him NOT to jump up to answer the door took all my sternest voice Grin

GetDown - your letter from the friend sounds like it had a good effect. I had a huge rant with a friend who is also having difficulties the other day, but by the end of it after recalling that a mutual friend has a life-threatening illness, and a new wife pregnant with twins who is currently trapped in ANOTHER COUNTRY and can't be with him while he's extremely ill...well...it kind of put things into perspective. Sounds awful, and I forget this all the time, but there are so many people out there having a hard time.

StNix I remember the coffee tasting 'off' very well. Really hope the spotting eases off for your sanity's sake.

Mousebacon Sad about more spotting for you too. It's so worrying. I hope everything works out ok.

Izzy I get that dip after ovulation - it's there on all my charts, sometimes the build
back up is straight away, sometimes more gradual.

Iwish I get cramping from about 6dpo and sore boobs normally from about 8dpo. It fools me every single time into thinking I might be lucky. I've just about learnt to ignore it. Sort of.

LadyGee Grin congratulations on the successful scan. It's great news! HB and good measurements is about the best indication you can get.

Sorry to any I've missed - eyes are beginning to droop and I've still got work to finish tonight...grr,,,

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 21/12/2010 02:15

Hola. Been asleep since 8 so now am wide awake, nasty cough Grrr! Terrys try not to stress about it lovely, at even26 dpo you are still only 10 days ish since you got your pos test or am I mistaken?! Don't forget I am 7 weeks pg tomorrow. I just hope my levels don't fall! I would say put the tests away for a week then reconvene in a weeks time!!

Waves to all, can't catch up properly as on phone but will peruse all the charts tomorrow xx

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 21/12/2010 07:17

Morning all. Yawn. Temps up but only a few dpo and up in the night with DD so feeling very tired.

Last day in work today - off to a meeting then have an eyebrow wax and back massage booked at 1.
May fall asleep!

Hope everyone has good day and battery am stalking you!

TerrysNo2 · 21/12/2010 09:55

Morning all

Nix thats good to know about your test, I am only 5+3 today so maybe I should wait a week. We are going to visit DH's family for Christmas tomorrow and we wanted to tell them (don't see them very often so wanted to take the opportunity to do it in person) and I had hoped for a 2-3 week result to put my mind at ease a bit before we told them IYSWIM.

battery chart looking good, much steadier temps than last month! When are you going to test??

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 21/12/2010 10:33

Totally get where you are coming from Terrys x it seems like the only way to reassure yourselves in the early stages doesn't it?!
