Thanks for that ladyg. I usually take my thyroxine in the morning but was thinking of changing it to tea time as I've read on the Internet (i should be banned) that caffiene and milk affect the absorbsion of the thyroxine so shouldn't have them for up to 4 hours after taking the thyroxine and I always have a milky coffee in the morning. I have caffiene free everything but the milk worried me. Don't know how true that is. Maybe I'll try iron in the morning and everything else at tea time.
What dose are you on?

Iwish · 01/01/2011 20:58

I thought it was you nix! yeh I drank the pj from a few days after OV. Not sure about the grapefruit juice as I'm not a fan of it but I mite have to give it a go. I am going to have s rather random shopping list for tomorrow haha!!

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/01/2011 21:30

thanks LadyG re. the aspirin. What dose do you take, is 75mg ok?

Pippaandpolly your chart looks absolutely fine to me, I expect you will ov within a week or so. Keep checking for the clear stretchy mucus, that is a clear guide that you are approaching ov.

LadyGoneGaga · 01/01/2011 21:51

I take 125mcg Thyroxine Iwish - not heard about the caffeine/milk thing but I drink decaff anyway. I wouldn't switch to evening. A couple of times I've forgotten to take in morning and taken in evening and gave me awful insomnia.

75mcg aspirin is fine Getdown. It is deliverately low dose so is not harmful but is enough to do what it needs to do. Get the coated tablets not the dispersible stuff as kinder to your tummy.

Iwish · 01/01/2011 22:15

Thanks for the advice ladyg. :) I really shouldn't search on google!

Ladybee · 01/01/2011 22:21

Happy New Year ladies!

BatteryHen I'm sure the consultant will discuss the treatment for Factor V Leiden with you, there's a very detailed discussion of it not just in relation to conception/miscarriage but also other health matters - which is useful. You need to know whether you are heterozygote or homozygote. If you are interested it's here.
For me, the treatment will be daily aspirin and heparin injections once a pg is confirmed by scan @ 5 weeks.

Oh, and if you haven't been diagnosed with a clotting disorder I'm not sure that using aspirin is recommended. The ladies on the 'testing' thread in Miscarriages know more, but I think it can actually cause more bleeding please see here. Lesley Regan is top miscarriage bod in the UK.

Anyway...my chart. Am on the final straight. As you can see am starting to dip, but this is absolutely on the nose for my usual temp at this point. Even tomorrow's temp going up or down won't tell me what my final outcome is going to be as I tend to zig-zag (in mood and temp) until the very end.

Cross fingers for me, but my symptoms are dropping off so am no longer hopeful...

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/01/2011 22:33

Thanks LadyBee I had read that low-dose aspirin could not hurt, and may in fact help. But you're right, I should be more cautious, as I've not been diagnosed with sticky blood or any kind of clotting problem. I'd read that it can help with implantation, but obviously a bit worried now that it may actually hinder it in some way.

I won't take it tomorrow.

I see you are nearing the end of your 2ww. Good luck Smile

Pippaandpolly · 01/01/2011 23:23

Thanks for the feedback everyone-we've been going at it recently as I'm away for a few days from tomorrow so fingers crossed I'll ovulate sooner rather than later and there'll still be some sperm waiting around! DH thinks all his Christmases have come at once :)

Sorry not to have got more involved in discussion and charts thus far-am still learning and don't want to come out with utter rubbish to you all!

MrsP81 · 02/01/2011 10:06

Fingers crossed for you Ladybee, just looked at your chart and it looks good. Very smooth compared to your previous cycle.

You're right getdown, I hadn't recorded any EWCM. I had some where I couldn't make up my mind what it was as it was so sparse and I put it down as sticky. I've had a stronger temp shift today so I've changed it to EW so that FF has finally got rid of the cross hairs, hurrah!

I have a theory about the lack of CM - I remember reading that drinking plenty of water helps with making it. I haven't drunk nearly as much water this week as I haven't been at work so that could be it.

I'm off out to visit yet more family today. Have a lovely day all.

Happy New Year charters!

It is a bit of a relief to be in Jan 2011 to be honest with you. TTC wise, 2010 was a disaster zone so am happy to be into a new year. Am also happy that the festivities are over as DH and I are back on the wagon until we conceive (tis the plan any hoo). We took Xmas and New Year off the booze ban and have had quite a few over the last week and not feeling the best for it!!

I am on CD13, having been doing quite a bit of SWI of late and to be honest I am finding charting CM quite tricky with all the pre-seed and (erm!) sperm swilling about so am relying on OPKs which are still negative.

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/30210f

Sharing my chart as last tome I did I was on CD3 or so and there was nothing to see!

xx

GetDownYouWillFall · 02/01/2011 14:52

Hi there all!

ravenlocks you can "expel" the semen and preseed by doing some kegel exercises, but don't do it within a couple of hours of sex in case you get rid of them before the good ones have all had a chance to swim up where they need to go Wink Also chances are that if yuo still feel a bit wet and slippery 12 hours or so after sex, it's probably actually EWCM rather than semen.

I'm 7DPO, thought I had some pains on right hand side really low down, but only lasted a few seconds. What do you reckon ladies??

nickstermum · 02/01/2011 15:17

Recommend the kegals! I did them quite a bit during the hour I used to spend with legs on the air post swi to help them swim!! Get down is right tho, not too soon!!

ravenlocks · 02/01/2011 15:52

Ahhh, just did them and guess what I found, EWCM! Ta for that, was always a bit sceptical that they would work!

Feeling implantation getdown?!

batteryhen · 02/01/2011 15:57

Hello everyone ... Well DP has just left to go back to germany :(. I cried :(

Feel a bit down as I feel we are never going to have a baby - especially living in different countries. It's so rubbish. Our jobs - which we both hate at the minute are keeping us apart. Crap crapiness.

Sorry to be so sad - I hope someone gets a bfp soon , I could do with some good vibes to come my way! xxx

GetDownYouWillFall · 02/01/2011 16:07

Ah sorry to hear that DP has just left battery must be so hard living apart. Didn't you say you were going out there though quite soon? Hopefully ov will wait till then for you!

ravenlocks I really hope it was implantation but am a bit doubtful as it only lasted a couple of seconds. Not feeling anything at the moment.

Iwish · 02/01/2011 16:50

Hi all. Just wanted to drop in and give you all a little wave. Hope you are all ok.

getdown I hope it was implantation,

battery Sorry your DP has had to go back hun ((hugs)). hoping OV will happen when you go to visit.

On our way to hospital, DPs nana has fallen and broken her hip poor thing. DPs mum has been at the hospital all night with her and we are all going up now to see her after an op.
Catch up with you all soon xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 02/01/2011 17:26

Hello all, and happy new year!

I'm way behind with all the news so will try to catch up later. battery so sorry you're feeling so down, your due date must have been awful and it must be really stressful trying to time everything around flights etc and add to the pressure - even worse when it's all caused by jobs you're not even enjoying Sad. Sending big (((hugs))) your way x

More (((hugs))) coming to those who need them - especially terrys. I know nix has already mentioned the ttc after mc thread - I don't know how to link but we're always on the front page of conception, currently on volume 10 and they are a terrific bunch of girls. As it happens, obviously there are (sadly) a number of ladies on here that have been through it, so you're already getting some support but if you want to pop across for a chat please do x

Here's my chart day 8 and temps plummeting so really quite boring, except (sorry, TMI) today I had pink/brown streaked cm, and lots of it. Any ideas on thus new mystery phenomenon my body has decided to throw at me?? I did an opk and it was neg (second line there but not as dark), so no idea what's going on at the minute!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 02/01/2011 17:34

Oh and ladybee I thought your chart was looking quite good actually - fingers crossed the temps stay up!!

batteryhen · 02/01/2011 19:18

ladybee thank you for the info and link .... I will have a good look later. Meanwhile ..I am off to the pub with some friends who will kick my arse cheer me up :)

nickstermum · 02/01/2011 19:55

Battery :( tough when they are far away ! Particularly not great after what you have been through. I bet you are counting the days x

iWish hope nana is ok x

Spilt, you ok lovely??

spilttheteaagain · 02/01/2011 20:26

Hello Nix Smile just talked to you on the other thread.

We had friends over today hence my uncharacteristic whole day of no MNing!

battery I feel for you, I would hate to be apart from DH so much, it must be tough. Esp with the ttc and the stress of ovulation/flights. Hope you have fun at the pub Smile

Evening everyone else, good luck to LadyBee and GetDown for your 2ww's.

TerrysNo2 · 02/01/2011 23:44

Evening all, feeling much better these days about it all, of course very sad and wistful at what could have been but also hopeful at what the future might hold. DH and I have recommenced TTC-ing and I am currently on CD10. I only started temping again today though.

Help wanted - can anyone who has had an early MC like mine share their WTF cycle with me, when did you OV and how long was it - I have no idea what to expect. Thank you!

battery I am so Sad for you that your separation from DH is so hard, I hope that he gets transferred back here quick smart and that your conjugal visits work! Wink

Iwish I hope your DP's nana gets better soon.

Izzy IIRC streaked CM is a sign of OV and a good one, but surely that would be too early for you right?!? Confused

raven was looking at your chart - impressive TTC-ing, was that even twice in one day that I saw?!!? Grin Can you put your other cycles on there for us to see as it would be good to compare them. Glad you found the EWCM too.

Ladybee and GetDown can you post your charts soon so I can get stalking, we are due a BFP on our new thread!

Nix you're supposed to take down your decorations on the twelfth night, doesn't that apply to MN names too?!?! Wink

Oh, and I have started a blog, for no apparent reason except a friend suggested it, and its good for networking apparently, and I am hoping to leave my job and set up a business one day (no idea what) so if you are interested - here it is

Night all, FX that DS has a 10am lie in tomorrow like this morning!! Smile

Ladybee · 03/01/2011 08:20

chart here

Well temps are looking good but an Internet cheapie didn't say what I wanted to so I'm ignoring it. It was my last test in the house so am debating whether to pick something up today or just wait and see what happens in the next few days.

terrys my post mc cycles are actually pretty normal once I get a -ve test, but others have had anovulatory or delayed ov. Just temp and watch what happens.

Wah! Last day of the holidays for me today. I don't wanna go back to work!

Izz you have a dip like that 4-7 days befor ov on the charts I can see so hopefully it's just a good pre-warning. The streaking could be blood left from your period as it's quite soon after that?

GetDownYouWillFall · 03/01/2011 08:42

Hi all! Am feeling a bit low as no sore boobs today, was hoping that if yesterday had been implantation then maybe today I would feel sore? (did last pregnancy). I know it's stupid feeling like this at 8DPO, but there we are.

Terrys welcome back my love. My WTF cycle was the cycle before this current one so you can see it on my home page

My temps kind of drifted downwards after the MC, and I ov'd what I thought was late (CD23) - the previous cycles I had ov'd on CD16 and CD13 respectively. However, my current cycle I ov'd even later (CD26) and period was even heavier than the MC, so not quite sure what is going on. Maybe it takes a few cycles to sort itself out. Anyway I was quite pleased I was still ovulating, as knowing my body, and how easily it gets messed up by things out of the ordinary, I thought I may be in for a long wait!

My MC was at 5 weeks, so slightly earlier than yours I think. I found I felt more positive once the bleeding has stopped. BTW sometimes people have weird LPs in the cycle directly after MC, but mine was normal. I think anything goes in the WTF cycle, really.

spilttheteaagain · 03/01/2011 09:57

terrys lovely to have you back and well done for taking your first temp. I remember all the mixed feelings that gave me, it's quite a significant point. Your chart actually looks like it may only be a couple of days until you ovulate, what with the softening cervix and the CM.

I know LadyG and I had near identical WTF charts (hers was 7 weeks). Mine is on my profile it's the light blue one in the overlaid section. We both had crappy LP's that month (only 7-8 days) so probably couldn't have conceived. That didn't bother me because I wasn't trying then, but I remember her finding that very tough. But the positive side is we both conceived on the following cycle.

Our bodies are remarkable things really, they seem to be able to recover and recalibrate very quickly. I hope it happens quickly for you my dear x
