terrys just a quick message to say I hope things have calmed down and you're doing ok...I know how scary it is and how much of a shock it can be, and will be thinking of you over the next few days.

battery hope tomorrow brings you a Christmas bfp, and that everyone else has a lovely Christmas and gets everything they want in the new year x

LadyGoneGaga · 25/12/2010 00:17

Hope you're ok Terrys. I bled with DS and also when I mc'ed. Key differences for me were that with DS it was very light and brown and that I kept my symptoms. When I mc'ed my symptoms went completely at 7 weeks. It started light but rapidly was heavier than a period with a lot of clots. And had a lot of cramping. And I passed something greyish which was the placenta which is when I finally accepted it was over.

I really hope it stops and you get good news when you have next blood test. Thinking of you. xxxx

spilttheteaagain · 25/12/2010 08:44

Morning terrys I hope the night has been uneventful for you. Thinking of you today and hoping things have settled down xx

Started clotting this morning in the shower, I realised things were over last night when my cervix was open so DH and I had a good talk and a cry. Now trying to focus on Christmas day and DS.

Merry Christmas to you all. xxx

spilttheteaagain · 25/12/2010 09:15

Terrys I am so sorry.Sad when I had my mc I only had clots on the first day and after that it was just normal red bleeding. It stopped after a week or so and then I had a longer cycle afterwards but it got back to ovating again which I was relieved about. Mine was at 5weeks so slightly earlier than yours I think. Hope your body settles down again quickly. It's a horrible thing to happen and even worse timing wise. Take care of yourself x x

MrsP81 · 26/12/2010 10:46

So sorry to hear your news Terrys. I found my mc (5+5) bleeding quite odd, it didn't really come out on the pad that much for the first couple of days but when I went to the loo it really flowed and that's when the clots came. Sorry if TMI. Also I didn't have much cramping.

I hope you managed to enjoy yesterday a bit with your family. Oh, I got a Kindle too!

battery, sorry about your low temp yesterday. Any news today?

getdown, is that a positive OPK I see on your chart?! Yay!

Hope you all had a nice Christmas day.

batteryturkey · 26/12/2010 11:37

Hello all :)

mrsp Well i have had another dip today so think AF might be on her way. I will be releived in a way - having dignosed myself with all sorts of rare and weird fertility issues overnight. AF is still not here but I do feel a bit crampy.

I am on cd31 which has never happened before - am strictly a 29 day girl, but after a d+c - anything can happen I suppose!

terrys how are you feeling today? x
getdown - Had a look at your chart - yes you seem to have sneaked a positive opk in there and not declared it to all!

Myself and DP are having the day to ourselves - have bread in the new bread maker and we are off to have a lovely long walk in the woods.

I now hand over the 2ww baton to mrsP and whoever else thinks they will be entering the 2ww soon :) xx

spilttheteaagain · 26/12/2010 11:52

terrys thinking of you, hoping you aren't in pain with it all xx

In the hope it can raise a smile here is my cat story from yesterday:

He set fire to himself Shock. He lent against a candle, his fur caught and smouldered for a second whilst we went Shock and ran to help! Daft animal. He didn't even realise. Smoke alarm went mad and I can confirm that the smell of burning fur is vile!

Quite scary with hindsight as it could have been a lot worse, but also we did POSL Blush

GetDownYouWillFall · 26/12/2010 12:23

Thanks yes a really strong positive OPK yesterday- hurrah!! Tis a bit annoying timing wise as away at parents at the mo but just glad it finally seems to be happening at last. I took evening primrose oil this month and seem to have loads of EwCM don't know if they are related! Will keep u posted! Thanks for checking out my chart ladies!

Sorry for rubbish typing am on Dh's iPhone

Shock at spilts cat setting fire to itself! ! Oops

battery hope you get some answrs soon. Frstraring for you.

Hi to mrsp and everyone else x

spilttheteaagain · 26/12/2010 12:40

Fabulous GetDown. You'll just have to be really quiet this evening then! I took EPO back in May/June and also found I started producing vast amounts of EWCM so I do think it's related. Good luck Smile

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 26/12/2010 15:46

Merry Christmas ladies,

I seem to be more of a lurker than a poster on this thread, although actually I've been so busy in the last week I'd dropped off all my usual 'threads I'm on' because I hadn't posted on any of them.

I have been reading though and I just wanted to say to Terrys how sad I was to read about you starting to bleed and then get worse. It's such a horrible thing to happen and worse to have it happen on what is supposed to be a joy-filled holiday. All I can hope is that when you feel ready to TTC again you are successful quickly and that this time next year, if you don't have a baby in your arms, then at least are grumbling about not being able to drink Sad.
For me, the first MC I had was at 5.5 weeks was just like a heavy period, maybe a bit more painful and I had some clots but it wasn't bad. My second MC was discovered in a scan so had an ERPC and third was natural but a bit later on, about 9 weeks, and was much more painful (over about 6 hours), with one bad session of passing a lot of blood and clots and then just like slightly longer period after that. Sorry about all the detail but it just shows that it varies for everyone and you've just got to take it as it comes. Look after yourself, take the painkillers if you need them. If you're filling more than 1 pad every hour or feeling ill/fluey/temperature then get yourself to a GP or AandE to be checked for infection.
My EPAU leaflets said no sex for two weeks after the bleeding has stopped to ensure no risk of infection. If the bleeding continues on for a very long time, or you get any bad symptoms (fever, aches, or unpleasant smell) then, again, go and get checked for infection. I really hope this passes quickly and as easily as possible for you, so that at the least the physical side of it isn't too difficult. The emotional side is a different matter, so take your time with that. It's a lot of disappointment and loss to deal with and getting back to TTC afterwards is not always straightforward. Sad

I'm 4 dpo today - somehow ovulation crept up on us in the middle of all the christmas prep and mad finishing up at work. Did manage to get some SWI in but not as much as would have wanted - anyway, we'll see how we go, I did say I was taking it easy over Christmas anyway so not too bothered.

This hasn't stopped me symptom spotting already though, had sore left boob (yes, just the one side) yesterday and woke up sooo hot in the night last night. I was expecting to see my temperature through the roof this morning, as I'd had to get up and switch off heating, drink some water etc. And I honestly didn't drink that much champagne yesterday.
However, have had my traditional 4-5 dpo dip today so hopefully temps will head back up now (and of course, hopefully stay up for a good long time).

Izzy I hope that spotting isn't AF.

GetDown took me ages to find your chart, but if your temp goes up tomorrow looks like there's a good chance you ovulated on Christmas day, hope that eggy was a nice present for some lucky swimmer Grin

Merry Christmas to all once again, especially those I haven't namechecked.

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 26/12/2010 15:47

Oh - my chart here
