I think I ovulated on CD19. Due to DH work commitments we only managed SWI once but that was on CD19. I know a BFP is still possible but we did only do it once.

It's too early to test but I have all my hopes of a BFP running through my head and symptom spotting. My body has been cruel in the past though and got my hopes up only for AF to appear.

However, this evening I am feeling quite nauseous and have had feelings like ligament pulling in my abdomen. Also slightly tender boobs.

I'm 8dpo and just want the next week to be over so I know!!!

Feel better for getting that out!

Hello, is it ok for me to join in too? This is cycle 1 of TTC number 2. Am on CD18 of 28-29 day cycle. CBFM showed peak days CD16 and 17 which is a bit later than the last 2 months.

We SWI on both peak days (yesterday and day before). Unsure if it will be of any use to SWI today? (Says 'high fertility) on CBFM. I think DH would rather not as doesn't feel the best!

So its exciting to be in the 2ww now!

arabella36 · 11/01/2011 14:17

BTW, what's the earliest any of you have tried a pregnancy test?

LittleSquirt · 11/01/2011 14:31

Thanks for the name of the app Essence, will take a look. Mine is more a calendar that tells you where you are in your cycle, it doesn't predict fertile days or anything like that so this one sounds better. Although mine can turn into a pregnancy calendar at the touch of a button (instead of saying CD29 for exemple, if you say you are pregnant it become 4w1d) which I am hoping will become very useful very soon...Hmm Grin
Happy packing btw!

Arabella - I used one yesterday, 6 days before AF due!! Needless to say, it was a BFN. Boo :(

Katee - I feel much better that you also peed on so many sticks last month, although obviously I wish they'd all been BFPs for you :( Good luck for this month, I have high hopes for you, let us know when you test and how you got on!! :)

I just got back from Boots (where I bought new tests (oh the shame!)) as I'd figured that I needed to replaced the two I'd wasted yesterday and this morning! Needed a pee when I got back so had to make myself go for said pee really quickly, before I could grab a stick on the way! I felt better once I'd peed without it landing on a stick but it was an effort, let me tell you! I am going to a friend's house tonight and I am staying over so that'll make sure I can't do anymore POAS until at least tomorrow afternoon. Although having said that, my friend is just as obsessed as I am so I really hope she hasn't got any HPTs at hers or we're both in trouble once drunk!!!

Cheeser · 11/01/2011 15:21

I use the iP app too. It's really good. It gives you alerts and stuff, and you can customise your own most frequent symptoms so you can add them easily. Would def recommend! Not sure if it can turn into a pregnancy calendar though, might have a look later Wink

So where is the best place for tests? I've only ever bought a couple from Boots (years ago) - are own brand as good as the Clearblue ones? Wonder how long I can wait until I buy some...

MrsB33 · 11/01/2011 15:31

hi ladies can i also join, i have 7 days to wait before my af does or doesnt arrive on the 18th, poas today but of course i got a bfn, i dont feel pg but im keeping everything crossed!!
According to my ovulation sticks i ov,d on the 1st of jan, and we swi for 7 days around this time, 3 days b4 and 3 days after.. And three times on the actual day!!!
Fingers crossed this month will be our month!!
Good luck ladies x.

kateepie2 · 11/01/2011 16:22

Blimey you are getting enthusiastic about this MrsB Wink

I've been getting the cheapy strip tests from Wilko this month as I felt guilty about all the plastic in the first response and other ones - it seemed such a waste - you pee on it, look at it hopefully for 2 mins (willing the second line to appear) then chuck in the bin in despair!

Cheeser · 11/01/2011 17:25

Thanks kateepie2.. no wilkos near me though Sad I will look out for the strip tests, thanks, sounds much better.

JRsandCoffee · 11/01/2011 18:04

MrsB an epic effort... I salute you!

Goes off to sob in a corner at being out shagged....

So very bored of waiting, have standard sore boobs and am a bit tired, but then that could be because I let the jack russell onto the bed last night and he stole the duvet. (In case anyone is wondering how a small dog does this it is done by lying down next to me, I get hot and wriggle away, he wriggles close again, I get hot and wriggle away, he wriggles close again, repeat several times and suddenly I'm on the edge of the bed with the duvet covering approximately half a shoulder, not ideally restful) Apart from the above standard boobs and tiredness I have no signs whatsoever for my duck egg laying cycle having reaped fruit, so to speak, which is rubbish!

Good luck to everyone and hello to the new faces Smile

kateepie2 · 12/01/2011 07:48

The only downside I think with the strip tests is that they aren't as sensitive (the label said 25mg of HCG is what it is programmed to detect)... so you really do have to wait til at least the first day of your missed period (tho I did succumb last night, BFN, of course, bleh).

Still have sore boobs today, and the back ache is still there. HURRY UP tomorrow!!!!

:)

arabella36 · 12/01/2011 13:12

LOL at JR's do stealing the blanket!

I'm only 2 or 3 days post-ovulation and have crampy feelings today. Can this be an early pregnancy sign?

I know I'll probably misinterpret every bodily symptom from here on in. . .

LittleSquirt · 13/01/2011 09:19

Morning everyone. Well, it's CD1 for me today, she got me! :( I obv feel gutted that I am not pregnant but on the other hand, I am grateful that AF turned slightly early rather than late (I expected her on Sat), at least it saves me a few days of fantom symptoms spotting and means I save a fortune on numerous HPTs which would have all turned out to be yet more BFNs!

We are also going skiing the weekend after next for 2 weeks so looks like I'll be ovulating whilst on holiday which is always good to maximise SWI opportunities!

Good luck to all your lovely ladies still on the 2WW. Fingers crossed that you all get BFPs in the next few days.

BTW, I just searched on itunes for the iP app and I can't find it. Does it have another name at all?

LittleSquirt · 13/01/2011 09:30

Welcome MrsB - we were cycle buddies, I also OV'd on 1st Jan but didn't BD half as much as you did (in my defence, our NY celebrations got in the way on the 31st evening (too drunk for any SWI!) and our son always wakes us up and we take him into bed with us until about 8ish every morning so no chance of any SWI in the mornings anymore!). Anyway, just to say that this cycle wasn't for me so I really hope it is yours!! :)

Katee - any more news for you? I think you said you had implantation bleeding, didn't you?

JR - LOL at your dog stealing the duvet!! So funny!

arabella - good luck and I hope the next week goes quickly for you!

Cheeser - how are you feeling? only 3 days before AF, are you tempted to test at all? I really hope this is your month too!!

Essence - hope you are having a lovely time in York!

Oh, I think I did find the app we talked about, is its full name iPeriod?

kateepie2 · 13/01/2011 09:56

Don't know just yet littlesquirt fed up really, as it feels as if AF on the way - BflippingN on test this morning too! Will keep you posted!

LittleSquirt · 13/01/2011 10:10

Sorry to hear you feel fed up Katee and that you got a BFN. They really suck! Sometimes it can feel like AF is on the way when you are in fact pregnant so all is not lost yet though! (I got this with my DS and my DD!).

kateepie2 · 13/01/2011 10:20

I hope you're right Wink - I do have killer lower backache today, though my boobs haven't been so sore over the past couple of days. Really hoping I don't turn out to be one of those who only gets negative HPTs (even if do turn out to be pg)!

arabella36 · 13/01/2011 11:23

Good morning all, littlesquirt I hope this month goes better for you on the TTC front.

Katee - I agree with littlesquirt, with my first pregnancy I told my DH I wasn't going to be preg that month as I had pre-menstrual symptoms and was v surprised when I was.

I'm only 3-4 DPO now and am still suspicious I might be pregnant. I have a sort of dull ache like mild period pains and very tired and a little nausea this am. And feel bloated. Of course all these things could be attributed to other causes but I can't help but wonder. It seems like a long time to find out!

kateepie2 · 13/01/2011 11:39

Thanks arabella, I think it is AF tho, as even tho it doesn't feel like normal period, I'm getting brighter red dc when go to the loo, so looks like it, unless it is breakthrough bleeding? Onto the next month...

arabella36 · 13/01/2011 12:15

Its hard to say kateepie, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you anywaySmile

kateepie2 · 13/01/2011 12:35

Nope, its AF alright, bugger. Oh well, onto the next cycle (only on cycle#2 so shouldn't really complain)... was convinced I was pg though this week, seems I have just developed monster PMS aged 30. May still do a test next week just to check though.

Thanks for your help lovelies, and good luck for you :)

kateepie2 · 13/01/2011 12:37

ps I too am a cycle buddy littlesquirt... ov 31 Dec or 1 Jan :)

LittleSquirt · 13/01/2011 13:28

Sorry she got your too Katee :(

Funny that we OV'd on same day and that the evil witch caught us on the same day as well though!!!

This is also Cycle2 for me btw! Grin

kateepie2 · 13/01/2011 13:35

I'll race you Wink

LittleSquirt · 13/01/2011 14:44

LOL, you're on!!! Grin

Gambatte · 13/01/2011 23:45

Hi everyone,
Hope it's OK to join what seems like a long established thread. LittleSquirt and Kateepie - snap! AF was due on 18th but came early today. Really disappointed as I'd felt strong symptoms this time. My DD is 2 and felt so many of the same symptoms that I did when I was pregnant with her. Haven't had that before. Now I'm worried that it was my Ashtanga yoga class last night that brought it on but don't want to spend the next however many months not doing the things that keep me sane and stress-free. Sorry for the moan. Not easy to talk to friends about this as most are work colleagues as I live away from home & friends.
Well onto the next cycle. Best of luck to you all, especially those still waiting!

LateToTheTTCParty · 14/01/2011 07:47

Hi everyone, I've posted a couple of times on First Time Frolickers and now, having frolicked, I am on this rollercoaster called 2WW Smile

TTC #1 - I've come late to this game, I'm 37...
Cycle No. 1; UCL 26-ish; CD14 (I've been using the Period Tracker app over the last year to pin things down a bit)

Despite using the First Response daily ovulation tests from CD5, I'm not sure exactly when I ovulated (spot the beginner, huh? Blush) I had about 4 days where I had the 2 strong lines. Do I calculate when I ovulate from the first time I see the 2 strong lines? If so, then I think I'm only 2dpo... this is going to be a long 2 weeks isn't it!
